Hi Matt, excellent review! You deserve even more recognition than you already have. Do you think this would be a great 2nd car for an enthusiast for commuting to work while still having fun along the way, or is considerably less fun than the 911/Lotus Evora 400 as a daily? Thanks!
Thanks Tommy! I've never driven an Evora but I had more fun in this than I did in the 991 911 I reviewed a few years ago. And the Lexus is more comfortable as well, so I think it would make a great 2nd car.
A very beautiful and sexy car. I hope in the near future the make a hardtop convertible version and a white on white option ( white exterior , white interior ), plus more aggressive rims.

Well I still haven’t driven a V8 F-Type convertible so a little hard to say, but since I’d have to buy both used, the F-Type will depreciate faster. Maybe F-Type first then trade up for one of these when they’re in my price range?
I had an SC 430 for a year a long while ago and this car is really another dimension now. Really nice looks! - Even when I would prefer the Coupé because I don`t want to look like a guy in his midlife crisis. - What can happen quickly when you are 40+ :-D
It's a canvas top. I don't think that is the "instrument of measure". I suspect it is the "model" of the car, which varies on what you can afford. A dentist buys (finances) a Bentley, average person gets a Corvette, a 40 year old "poor" buys a Miata.
@@danger450 I think I am out of the convertible age. - People can better look at the car than looking at an old guy with strange-looking hairs. I don't want to impose my look on anyone when I'm at the traffic lights. :-D - I leave that privilege happily to the younger people out there.

Beautiful car all the way around but i'm afraid it will be hard to find buyers for those at that price range. I give it a few years before the production dies
Lexus predicts 200 to 300 a year. It's purpose driven for a lot of reasons. Large sales volumes are not high on the list. One must remember that this is going to be Lexus's halo choice for a new generation. Just like the original LS series it was a game changer. This LC series is changing the game as well. In a small segment one could argue. Why? The 2 seater ultra coupes are non existent and not selling well industry wide. In my opinion. This vehicle perfectly sits between ultra performance and entry level ultra performance luxury. The LC delivers on so many popular needs at it's price point. They will sell every one they make.
The LC is so sexy. I'm still baffled on why Toyota decided to have a rebadged Z4 as their Supra when they literally have the LC. Strip that (LC) car out all that unnecessary luxury crap, slap a slightly tuned twin turbo V6 they have on their LS and call it a Supra.
Its hellcat heavy and it'd more than likely would get walked by all the cars they wanted supra to go against and mainly that it'd need to be tunable which u can't do much with toyos engines without it being overly expensive to do.
I don't know but if Nissans GTR weights 3,933 lbs while the non convertible LC weights around 4,340 lbs, you're telling me that Toyota can't make the LC lighter? And i don't mean just slapping some parts for carbon pieces like they did to their RCF track edition. I seriously think Toyota, if they wanted to, can have a Supra running on their LC's platform but all we'll probably get is more excuses on why they won't.

Also with the rcf track that's them barely doing much of any difference with a base rcf with just a wing, and carbon parts didn't change that it was still a boat either with them throwing it up for 50k more than a base rcf that you might aswell get a base RCF and make your own track edition and have more power in the process for much cheaper than buying a whole 100k rcf track of barely half the price.
That's what what I mean. Toyota is slacking if Nissan can achieve that kind of weight and power on a AWD car.. eh. I guess you're right.
