I've seen so many couples who don't even seem to like each other and say snarky things with a "tone", but you all are polite and even brag on the other one. And you're probably together more hours in a day than most. Respectfulness and laughing are the key! Good job!

I stayed in Sky Harbor last time. I was terrified the first time going up Honeysuckle from Silver Poplar. Straight up. My little Chevy, fully loaded, in the rain, low gear screaming up the hill!

OMG why would anyone try to drive a camper up that road!! Sometimes I think when rational people start the engine of a vehicle, all common sense goes out the window :/. I worked as a server/network support admin for years and can't remember the number of times I told people "It's going to happen as quickly as possible, once you and I stop talking about it."

Why do people take rvs, campers, and transit vans up a mountain? You have more patience than me lol i would have to ask why. Thats also why i couldn't do your job. Lol we bought a motorcycle when we were in Pegion Forge last time we were there. We were staying in a cabin on the very top of the mountain. We still had a few days to go. WE LEFT THE BIKE AT THE HARLEY PLACE until we left for our last day. Why? Because it wouldn't have been a smart idea to try and get it up to the tip top of a MOUNTAIN! LOL

I would never, NEVER consider taking my rig up a road like that. I research just about about every mile of every unfamiliar trip, including elevation and street view walkthroughs. And YES, your wife is really an amazing driver. That was impressive beyond driving skills. The comm between you both and the understanding of what's needed down to the inch. Well done life you two !!

Right turns are my biggest fear pulling out travel trailer. It's amazing how much further over the trailer tire path is compared to the truck front tires.

Looked like the left rear quarter of the camper shell was buckling when you had the bumper lifted up. Also stunned that the bumper was strong enough for the lift. They are notoriously weak.

Given that common sense isn't apparently common any more, it would make things a lot easier on everyone if states would require CDL's for drivers of RVs and van conversions. Those suckers are harder to drive than they look... At least those of us who have tow-behinds and 5th wheels know that we've got special driving situations!
