You know, the 3004 incidents started because folks erased the Cétlaidí, so the entity latched onto the faith that replaced them. I don't think erasing Christianity is going to help.
Well no. It latched onto the beliefs of the Christians that were affected by it; it's essentially a manifestation of the conversion of Ireland. If Christianity is erased, then so long as it doesn't have a sizable enough following under another faith similar enough for it to transition, it will be contained, neutralized, and possibly even terminated. If not? Well then we're going to have mosques and synagogues devoted to the Abrahamic Cicada.

this terrifies me because it blatantly us not what we see it as just a higher thought based life form but by eating our faith and belifs it could fool us into worshipping it without us ever realszing it wasnt the deity we belive in unlike say classic demons or monsters.

Great video as always. A bug god wouldn’t normally strike me as interesting, but SCP always finds a way to hook me in.
There’s a not well-known SCP I think you’ll really like: SCP 4205 - In the Eyes of the Beholder.
Unfortunately, SCP 4205 isn’t on TheVolgun, which I know is the best SCP channel. There is a vid on it by TheExploringSeries, which would be the next best thing. Cheers!

The hive mind can be interpreted as the Tyranid god, It's very presence drives other psykers mad and muffles all forms of warp transit and communication. The 4 are not getting eaten since the bug god is focused on directing the intergalactic sea of insects that constitute it.
they are pyschic and they do they have one giant collective hivemind that appears as the shadow in the warp and it basically smothers anything warp life based out in that area.

You're also not grasping the true horror. They did it. They destroyed christianity. They ripped it from time and space. But the Cicada god is SO STRONG it just put it back.
Unless I'm misreading it, I don't see where it says that it put Christianity back. Protocol Damnatio ad Bestias is the last document, whether it was successful or not is left to the imagination.
Tbh I don't see how it would work. The deity would just latch on to the next closest religion (probably one of the other abrahamic religions).
@@rulzzzzzz They built the machine, they put the guy in, the record ends and no more fragments of that nature existed. It worked. they killed christianity, the Bug God ate Yaweh, and came back as Super Bug God.
eh not really in scp 304 is supposded to be the abhramic god and the Gate guardian is one of his angels neither of which were converted into bug monsters or killed by the thought form just the WORSHIP from humanity to them was hijacked and eaten.
so they wiped out the belif and knowledge of christanity from humanity but didnt actually remove any of the supernatural divine elements christanity talked about.
infact 304 likely might have brought the cicada back himself for the foundation erasing his work from humanity in the first place instead of asking him first.
the lord is all loving after all and if the cicada belives in his work or as it belives "its own work" then he could be chill with it.

Technically speaking Jesus sacrificed his eternal life for our mortal sin. So we've already got that infinite sacrifice.
but how can a sacrifice be infinite? doesn't that defeat the purpose of a sacrifice?
@@howardhavardramberg333 it's more you've got God while human dieing. God is supposed to be infinite so you have a sacrifice that would cover any sin humans could do for as long as we exist.

@@howardhavardramberg333 Well.. in Christianity, Jesus is meant to be, like, the final sacrifice. God used to order people to do animal (lamb specifically) sacrifices and that's because Jesus hasn't died yet for us. You know how sometimes Jesus is called the Lamb of God or something like that? Yeah, Jesus was really meant to be the last one to be sacrificed for our sins and because He is the Son of God, we're pretty much covered forever. No need for more sacrifices.
His sacrifice also made it possible for us to be "resurrected" (spiritually).
This is just what I know though. Not sure if I said something slightly wrong.
why not "Feed" it people with more literal, gentle beliefs? Try to domesticate it?
It probably has a certain preference now so that anything that doesn’t line up with its sense of “taste” would be gross.
