Regarding 2:11, in comparing Royal Canadian Mint Silver Maple Leaf coins versus United States Mint American Silver Eagle coins, not only do Silver Maple Leafs have a lower premium cost but also since 2018 they have eliminated unsightly milk spotting stains. On the other hand, American Silver Eagles cost a more expensive premium but they are also still prone to occasional milk spotting stains.

As of about a year ago, I only had about 10 oz of silver that I had purchased here and there. Since I've been watching you and Tim, I now have about 170 oz of silver bullion. I'm on a fixed income so not much money to invest in anything but I have gone through everything I have and sold what I really didn't have to have and took that and purchased silver, mostly bullion. I have picked up a few coins here and there. Every month when I get my SS money, I pay my bills and try to purchase at least 2 or 3 silver rounds. I would love to have one of your stickers that you and Tim have signed so let me know how to go about getting one of those please. God bless you and Tim. Keep up the great videos. Love them so much. i just started my journey been doing a lot of research esp from yankee. Ordered my first one ounce silver coin a royal mint myths and legends king arthur just for some novelty for my first coin. When i get paid next im gonna try and get a couple buffalos and a britannia with the queen on it. My first goal is 10 oz. then 25oz. After i hit 25 one ounce coins im gonna try and save for some 10 oz. bars. Wish i wouldve got into silver a long time ago its really fun.
That is some highly impressive stacking. I'm on a fixed income also and I have about 40-45oz over the past 3 years. I would recommend junk silver so you can break it down if needed. You have inspired me so much! I know we don't have a lot of cash to work with. I'm so encouraged especially being on SSDI myself. Your opening comment, about it all sold for the same price, is the same as it was during the Hunt Brothers run up, they just shoveled those .999 mini bars into the furnace to get an accurate assay. For the most part I stack old U.S. so called junk silver, it was never melted down, it went right on the refiners books as a known value, not like the trinket bars.
But not the same as the 2020 run up, we live in different times it’s about to hit the fan American sovereign coins went WAY up and will continue to do so!

In Florida, rounds are treated as novelty silver and coin shop operators are required to file a report to local law enforcement when purchasing them from an individual. Sovereign coins are exempt from reporting requirements.

Agreed. Being able to solve problems via cashing in some metal is the best reason for owning metal, IMO.

Silver Buffalos / buffalo rounds always seem to be great. Silver Eagles are top tier and premium…. But so so expensive!
If I had 30K , I would only spend on 1 ounce rounds of generic or the cheapest because dealers will always try to buy for spot. So if you buy an eagle for 10 over spot and sell for spot you lose less if you bought generic for 2.00 over and sold for spot. you lose less by selling good generic.

I'm a beginner and first buy was 60 silver eagles and have since bought maple leafs and Britannias. To know that when selling most is treated as spot silver and I should be buying for best buy for the buck.

I'd have a hard time selling my constitutional coinage. But even now with the price down, it's up a fair bit for a roll I bought in 2016.

Hey Yankee, I just wanted stop by here and give you all a HEADS UP on something. If this was already mentioned then I apologize in advance, as I can't read every comment here... This morning I realized that If China decides to supply Russia with weapons for their war in Ukraine and the US sanctions China for it, then the spot price of Silver will collapse! I'm holding off on major silver purchases until we get better insight into what China will decide. I recommend caution until then.

@@goateecusbilly1823 Because an overwhelming majority of components that use silver are manufactured in China and if China gets sanctioned then the physical demand for silver will plummet because all other nations combined can't match the production capacity of China in the immediate run. It will take some time for the rest of the world to make pick up the slack and bring industrial demand back up because we just don't have enough production facilities.

Start with local coin/pawn shops. Buying from them will usually be cheaper. Most want to deal in cash and there is nothing wrong with that, as that is part of the getting good prices. Find out who you can trust 1st.

At 4 minutes into the video, it is the very reason why I only go for LOWEST PREMIUM OVER SPOT. When silver goes high, it all sells at the same price per ounce. AS SUCH, my only buys are silver kilo bars and 40% Kennedy halves because they go for the lowest over spot. When silver makes it's big move, those eagles and 40% Kennedy halves -- dealers will all be buying your silver at the same price over spot.
2019 and up Canadian maple leafs, are said to NOT milk spot, where philharmonics milk very quickly
I would grav at least 100 eagles, 200 maples, 200 Silvertowne Prospector bars and 100 Buffaloes. Take the rest and buy Buffaloes and AGE's!

I actually stack only gold maples, and I have more silver maples than any other silver. When I first started stacking around ~2006 I had this weird idea that the US had confiscated gold in the past, and therefore I should not buy US eagles or buffalos in case they were somehow more trackable! If I were starting today I'd almost certainly stack buffalos, but since I started with Canadian maples I see no reason to change. There's certainly nothing wrong with them, slightly cheaper to buy and to sell than US mint bullion, so it's a wash. Silver is awkward because the premiums are and have always been high, but I have some ASEs, some maples, some 10 oz bars that I'd probably sell on a price spike, and a whole lotta US 90% junk silver.
My gold challenge is to have a 1 oz gold coin from all the major mints. I have an Eagle. I want a Buffalo, Maple Leaf, Philharmonic, Britannia, Krugerrand, Panda, and Kookaburra.
Forget the Chinese Panda.
My favorite buffaloes are the Sunshine mint.

I sold at that time and the spot price was 48.92 I had generics and the pawn shop only gave me 46 a ounce they where bars n fake Morgan's I had bought them for About 4 bucks each my problem was I only had 100 of them... live n learn. I was at the pawn shop cause the coin shops in my area quit buying for about 3 months. Fun story but this time I'll b ready and not have generics cause I wantit all this time premium + $pot
Owning a coin shop must be tough. They sell silver at $23 knowing everyone gonna come back in at $50 expecting you to pay them out. I dont see how you can prepare for that.

"The last time silver was about $50 an ounce" was in April of 2011 that that was just for a few days.Thereafter there was an abrupt decline that, with generally speaking, a chart with lower highs and lower lows. It saddens me that an apparent older lady who obviously doesn't know much about precious metals, is putting so much money into such a bad, bad investment. OK, OK, I know some term it "insurance" but not all insurance is good or needed. Oftentimes, insurance can be overpriced as well.
However it is termed, you end up with an asset for which you pay a premium and it generally declines in value.
Who knows? Maybe 30k is walking around money for her.
Dropped into my local brokerage office to drop off a puny check to add to my account. Got into a semi political discussion with the woman standing behind me who was also dropping off a check to add to her account, as well. At one point she had to stop the conversation because her Uber was waiting for her.
Had to come back about 2 minutes later to ask another question. I looked down at the front desk and there was her personal check for 800k. Would have never suspected it.
I like to buy dimes because a pound of dimes feels lighter than a pound of quarters. Also, get more units with the dimes.
