    Thank you for replying. I meant for the critique to be helpful, not hateful, as Brenda Morgan suggests. I really like the figures and also have great respect for your creativeness. I am a breast cancer patient and professional cake decorator, so I enjoy taking this time to learn more and see what others are creating.

    Thank you for this tutorial! It's amazing! I especially appreciate the amounts of tylose powder given to help stiffen the fondant. Every other tutorial I've seen just says "add tylose powder". I know it's just an estimate you've given, but it sure helps. Thanks again!

    Wow! What an awesome video! I have watched many homemade videos and none have been as comprehensive and explanatory as yours! And you talking us through it was great - I don't like when someone just posts the video with music in the background and no talking. You make sculpting look so easy - I only hope that when I try it it is!!! Great job and thanks so much!

    This is wonderful! I haven't made wedding cakes in 30 years and so many things have change. My daughter eloped last week and her in-laws want to have a reception. It is scheduled for a week and a half from now , so I am under a terrible time crunch. The bride and groom didn't want anything, so this will be a very casual reception. No traditional cake topper seems appropriate and I wouldn't be able to find it in my area if there was something. Anyway, I decided to create my own cake topper. Since it is a fall reception, the couple need to be casual and also fall colors. I decided to make them sitting on a bail of hay, with pumpkins and other fall colors surrounding them. This tutorial was perfect since I have never done anything from fondant before. Thank you for the basic instructions and I am hoping that this will be as easy as what you have shown.

    Excellent tutorial. I learned a lot. Your teaching methods are very straight forward and simple to understand. The only thing I wish was better is that some of the head part of the tutorial was off camera and that was disappointing. But otherwise I learned more here than any other tutorial I have even paid for!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your talent!!!

    If anyone has a hate issue, it's you. I don't hate anyone. I am not saying anything that some others have said about the viewing. I am not saying that I am more experienced in this than the person making the video, I am simply saying that because I have done alot of figureines than maybe some who really need to the process better, that the demonstration needs to be more centered. I love her figures. If I didn't think that I could learn from someone else, I wouldn't have watched it.

    Excellent tutorial. I really enjoyed you "fleshing" out each piece. Some people might be a little intimidated by making a fondant person (with the excuse of "I can only do stick figures"). This was simple. It takes a little practice and some patience, but it really didn't look that difficult. I have never worked with fondant so watching this two-part video was first exposure to it. You're lighting a creative fire for me. Thanks! :)

    I am thinking of trying this for my kids birthday cakes. I have 3 weeks until the party so thought i'd do a lot of practicing before party day. Would you think this stand up person using the sticks would work with making beagles standing? I have watched a lot of different videos on making dogs out of fondant but none were standing. I'm hoping the sticks will work for the beagles too or would you think the fondant should be strong enough to hold it up without sticks thanks love this video

    Thanks for sharing. Not easy trying to talk, make a model and try to keep it in the camera. You managed most of the time :). • @DJC-1004
      @DJC-1004 8 лет назад

      The powder she used is called Tylose powder. it makes the fondant stiffer and dries hard. You can make fondant toppers as far in advance as you like if you have something to put them in so they stay clean.
