Hi Andy. I am currently 70 years old. I played guitar in an unknown rock band in my teens. After 50 years, I am starting all over. I have been using youtube as my main teacher. I want to say that there many great teachers out there and you are among my favorites. After about twenty hours of practice, I am surprised that I still remember both the fingering and have the muscle memory to play. I am especially interested in playing the blues and like the way that you presented this first Riff. Although I know the pentatonic scale and can play the scale at a low to moderate speed, I could not find an easy lesson on Riffs. After watching it a couple times, I can now comfortably play my first Riff. Thank you.
Thanks Andy . The way you describe first the pentatonic scales and then give the option of which tracks , is excellent and makes the whole lesson easier to understand . Whilst you were showing the first part , I was thinking there was a note missing, then you told us about the "hammer" on .One of my favourite tracks , used to play drums to this track . Much easier than trying to figure out from Ultimate Guitar Tabs . Looking forward to more, specially Eric . Thanks again for a wonderful explanation.
Took me a while of rewinding and reattempting but have got there! my 1st song learnt! so excited... thank you for making it possible for us to learn! great teacher! I need to brush up on the octave scale and the beginners chords and then I will continue through your lessons :)
Awesome job on the guitar lessons! I have to show my sis this since she took a guitar class in school. I like this song a lot, maybe she might like to try playing the chords to it. Also, btw (I don't want to sound like a weirdo for saying this but) you are very handsome and gorgeous to look at. ;D
It would really be helpful if a small chart was included in the lesson. Hard to keep up with which fret, string and finger. I really enjoy the lessons but that would be a great help.
Andy that was great, really helpful mate. Whereabouts in the UK are you? Would like to hook up for a little personal tuition, Dr Paul. I'm in Nottingham by the way.

I've had trouble learning scales for a few months now and it seems you have made it easier for me. Thank you very much!
Finally found someone who goes beyond the scales and actually gives you something to jam to....brilliant Andy, thank you...
So much fun when I can actually learn... love it. Thank you!

Finally a teacher showing how to apply scales to real songs (instead of vague backing tracks) 🙂A much better way of getting musical with scales
I'm new and this is great Andy.
Great hand and timing practice Andy. Thanks for the video.
Keep going. More licks and fills on this song and a longer play-along!
