thank you ! In Canada winter time is a dilemma. Too close to window will be too cold and too far away ends up in not enough sunlight ! I need to build a cabinet also lol
I took pups from perfectly healthy, strong, adult aloes that are now almost full grown. The pups grew straight up for a while but soon collapsed. They spread in a pretty nice circle so I never thought twice about it. I didn't realize something was "wrong". Thanks for the video
@@nitahardy1609 I think it's from lack of sunlight! The mom has full direct sun and the pups started that way. Now they are house plants. I'm thinking they may want to go back outside, to their original home ☀️😌
Hi, Lucia! Thank you for the wonderful video. I am definitely going to use your tip on providing extra support for my aloe plant, which currently has droopy leaves. I love your videos!
So funny you posted this video today, I had a friend reach out to me day before yesterday because her aloe is super droopy and I have her some tips but I will also forward your video as well.
My aloe has slowly been drooping more as time goes on. I took it out to check the roots and it snapped the majority of the roots off they were brittle and thin. Is there any way to save my aloe?
Hi! Thank you for this video:) I've been looking for the information about soggy aloe leaves across the internet for a couple of days now, and than stumbled upon your aloe video) Hurrah)
Hey great video 👍 I'm trying to find something to help my poor very light, droopy aloe because the leaves are all getting a creases in them and break off eventually after habe been leaning on the pot for an extended length of time and I just realized more are like that. I also found out that if the leaves aren't darker but rather lighter, that it means they're being over watered and that in the winter the women says she sometimes goes up to 4 weeks without watering since it colder. I'm about to transplant it into a bigger pot with succulent soil this time and will definitely be checking the roots to see if over watering it has caused any fungus and will most definitely be tying it up so I'm so glad I came across your video 😊 My leaves are all dropping at the bottom and top is leaning to one side because it keeps growing out of itself on the top going straight up so not sure if I'm supposed to be allowing that to continue or if I am supposed to be cutting them which I don't know how to do without hurting it or damaging it. It definitely is getting a lot of light but it's filtered behind a shade which is closed behind plastic that I refuse to take down because the window is so long and high. I have 4 of that size which took me 4 hours to hang 😒 However, I think I will make a slit at the top and slice it all the way down to pull the turn bar thing through and then just tape it back up like I've done in my living room for 3 windows so I can see out of them.
Thank you!! I moved my aloe to a North facing bedroom and it's been drooping since so this video has helped me figure out the cause! ☺ I have a question - with the right treatment (ie more sun, or fixing watering or pest problems) will the droopy leaves eventually stand upright when you remove the supports?! I thought my droopy leaves were goners, so it's good to know I might save them!!! 💚
Hii! This is a great question :-) This depends, I can tell you with my aloe after time and receiving the right treatment some of its leaves got better 💚 but some of them were already too droopy and I had to prune them off. You can observe your plant and see how she heals over time. I always think observation can always give us more hints on what to do 💚 Let me know how it goes :-)
Mine gets plenty of light and I’m definitely not over watering, so I’m thinking I may be under watering and it was getting too much direct light so I’ve moved it away from the direct light, which has healed the sun burn but the leaves are still crinkly and some of them are almost completely flat
My aloe plant looks great. I haven’t seen any signs in the actual leaves but every time I water it, the soil is bone dry by the next day. I don’t want to water it again because I’m scared of overwatering. It’s in the same container/soil that I bought it in. But the soil dries up so fast. Any idea why this could be happening?
If a leaf looks like it is dying should I cut it off ? The bottom ones are droopy but one in particular is yellowing and limp - is it better to cut it off or leave it ? Ty ❤
Thanks for sharing! You're too sweet! Would have loved to see what the thrips looked like on the plant so we'd know what to look for ya know lol but it's ok thank you again!
Hi! Thank you for your kind comment and feedback! You are right, I should have included them in the video! Hi Lucia I left my aloe vera plant accidentally outdoors while below freezing 🥶 and they froze I brought them indoors and my aloes thawed out as well as dropping. What TO DO LUCIA? IS IT SAVABLE?
hopefully your plant aint dead yet but since your pot is small water it until you see water coming out of the base. (the moment u see the drops coming out of the hole STOP). with succulents a rule is that you water it heavy but never frequently. make sure your soil is completely dry before watering it again. if this info is wrong feel free to correct me.
TY Lucia. What do you use on succulents with farina, the powdery substance that protects them from the sun. The neem oil would damage it. Do you have a product you use on your succulents with farina? thanks!
My leaves are dropping and the plant is very pale, it's always in the sun,the container is a nestum tin so it's kinda big,I water it whenever it's too dry so I don't what is happening... 😪😪 I'll try and support it and see if I could revive it to the deep green colour again....
You can find them at your local plant nursery or I added the links to amazon in the description of this video now. Thank you for asking, and let me know how it goes :-)
Hi! Maybe you need more drainage in the potting mix so it is more airy for the roots, you can see how I pot my cacti (that also works for the aloe) here: ruclips.net/video/myL7rtfdPGk/видео.html Also, how often do you water her?
Great question! It depends on the issue and how we are fixing it.. In my case, I found out it was because of lack of sunlight, so it took some months for it to get better and it is finally growing healthier. But I had to make sure I provided lots of light, first with a grow light and now a bit of a combination between grow lights and natural light. Hope this helps :-)

If I put my aloe in the sunlight she becomes dramatic and starts turning brown/red and drying out and flopping over and going soft, however after watching this I think the problem is the pot is too shallow so I will repot and see how my drama queen gets on ❤

Can it be ant other sticks if I do not have the bamboo stick
No, bamboo is the only solid and straight object that could possibly be used to tie up leaves.
