      Looks like less than 5% of the votes are down votes. I'm not seeing a lot of negative comments here, either. If there is something you don't like about the build, a simple declarative statement would be helpful. All caps and weird punctuation do not. I only found two of your posts. Neither told me what you were unhappy about. Bill

    Absolute pure awesomeness. I want one of those. (A note on the power supply though: those things in an enclosed case like that need a heat sink or they'll overheat. I've had several of them die in similar circumstances. Replacing the plastic case with a metal one has done the job for me.)

    Great build! Just a couple of suggestions:
    1.- Connect the table to ground. This is an essential safety feature that is missing from your table.
    2.- Open some air vents on the plastic box that houses your power supply, preferably matching the location of the fan, and at other points to let air flow. This will increase its lifetime.

    Why are you using different ways to weld and what are they?
    what are their advantages and disadvantages?

    • @WorkshopFromScratch
      @WorkshopFromScratch  4 года назад

      I like welding, and each method has its advantages, but the best method of homework is the MAG and MMA method, you get fast and cheap These methods are the most economical when it comes to working at home. But my favorite method is TIG, the welds are nice, clean, unfortunately, I rarely weld this method, because it is an expensive method and not very efficient for working in a home workshop.

  • @nervousnova6945
    @nervousnova6945 4 года назад +5

    Man that thing is amazing you did a very good job ! my only comment or critique would be, be careful for the power supply being in that closed box because the fan on it won't be able to get any air and it may overheat and also maybe put some limit switches on the Up down action with the relay to kill power if it reaches full up or down before you can turn off switch but again great job

  • @edjordan1203

    Beautiful workmanship but it looks very top heavy with all that steel up top any need for ballast on the bottom?

    • @WorkshopFromScratch
      @WorkshopFromScratch  4 года назад

      Thank you:) Yes, the whole is quite heavy, but despite this weight there is no problem with setting this table. The mistake I made is that I did not make vertical adjustment to the wheels, unfortunately I have a very uneven floor, which causes low stability, which means that I often have to put something under the wheels. The table does not need a counterweight, because the front of the table is much heavier than the back

    Hello I would like to realize part of your project, To do so I need, if you can help me, some measures. Let's start with the thickness of the sheet (In the video at minute 6:24), how many mm is the thickness of this sheet? You then, to make the plates with the "T" slots upside down, (In the video at minute 6:44) use two plates with different sizes (6 wider and 6 narrower), I could know width and thickness (always in millimeters), of the two different types of iron bar? To finish (In the video at 9:07 a minute) to put an edge to the tub what are the measures (width and thickness in mm) that you used? Thank you for your possible help is really a nice project ... congratulations for the good work.

    • @WorkshopFromScratch
      @WorkshopFromScratch  4 года назад

      I used a 8 mm thick sheet, I welded a 40x10 mm flat bar, I welded a 50x10 flat bar to the very top, I used a 20x10 mm flat bar to create the bathtub. Remember to start welding with high current, reduce the current at the top of the hole to avoid deformation

    • @angelotedesco9080
      @angelotedesco9080 4 года назад

      @@WorkshopFromScratch Thank you for your help and your answer. My design will have smaller dimensions, the two overlapping plates, I will not weld them, to keep them together I will make equidistant and through holes, in the plate that is below (the narrowest!), I will make a thread, while in the upper plate (the widest!) the hole will have a countersink, where I will then go to screw some screws with countersunk head and hexagon socket. The screw will have to go down a few millimeters below the countersink, once the screw is tightened, I will cover it with welding points, which I will then smooth. His design was a source of inspiration for me. Thanks again.

    15:58 А зачем блок питания в коробочку упрятали? Он там греться будет. Он для того и сделан дырявый и в металлическом корпусе, чтобы тепло отводить, просто на стенку без всяких коробочек. Провода в пучок просто собрать.
    17:00 Такая система подъема не обеспечит параллельности поверхностей стола и базы сверлильного станка. Перекосы будут и приличные.
    Столик конечно классный, но это из пушки по воробьям, если честно. Вы будете крепить станочные тисочки в область под сверлом и все, никакие большие детали под сверлом не нуждаются в фиксации, это же не фрезер. СОЖ тоже весьма спорное решение, заготовку после этого отмывать и весь станок тоже. Не проще ли капнуть маслица под сверло?
    За реализацию проекта твердая пятерка, просто выше всяких похвал. Функциональное же назначение, как по мне, спорное.

    • @AlexeichMiXACb
      @AlexeichMiXACb 3 года назад

      1) отвод тепла будет обеспечен самой коробочкой как дополнительным радиатором
      2) параллельность обеспечивают четыре перпендикулярных направляющих 50х50
      3) это не фрезер- идеальный угол в 90° с точностью до секунд тут и не обязателен

    • @vladimirblagin3105
      @vladimirblagin3105 3 года назад +1

      @@AlexeichMiXACb 1) Она пластиковая :-) и где вентиляция к тому же.
      2) Они играть будут эти направляющие и клинить, на один угол обопрись и всю конструкцию перекосит. Такие столы с подъемом можно делать только с фиксацией горизонтального положения. То есть поднял стол, переставил в дырках на ножках (их сделать нужно) ограничительные пальцы, опустил стол на эти пальцы, вот тогда параллельность с базой станка будет.
      3) Автор канала судя по всему этот стол не использует, а на нем у него (в других роликах) стоит заводской сверлильный станок даже вроде бы со столом с линейной подачей, то есть фрезеровать можно. В ролике про кран можете всю мастерскую обозреть, там и этот стол стоит как подставка.

Didn't you see that it had a "Cooler"? This source will overheat and may burn, it should be fixed at the top with screws!

    very nice.....i would add a small piece of sheet just at the end of the plate where drill is to help keep fluid in tray. what was build cost for this?
