    Did you put heatsinks over the VRM / VRAM etc ? Or left them bare and rely on the 92mm fan to cool them ?

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад

      The EVGA cards have an aluminum plate on the front of the cards that sinks heat from the memory and VRMs. The 92mm cools this base plate.

    I am still so amazed by this build. Funnily enough when I looked at ur video 4 months ago i was like im never going to be able to get one of these hybrid evga cards ever but now I actually ended up buying a secondhand 2080 ti evga ftw3 and got a hybrid kit with it. I commented on another one of ur other videos first so sorry for the double comment. According to a guide of someone installing one of the xc2 kits I have found out my heatsinks seems to be missing all thermal pads. I hope you dont mind answering a few of my questions:
    1. Have you ever replaced ur pads/do you know what thickness they are supposed to be on the factory evga hybrids?
    2. How big do u recon the diffrence between the ftw3 gpu with its original fans and cooler vs the hybrid kit?
    3. Have you ever experienced any weird noises from the pumps?
    4. How do u control ur fans, are they at full speed all the time (also is this why ur running windows)?
    5. Also since my pads were missing I had to become resourceful I found thermal pads i got with a artict cooler before but sadly they are 3mm which I assume will be to thick but they are very soft so do you think it will work for the heatsinks? If you would like to make a video disassembling the factory hybrid I would love to see how yours look.

    Yo dude this is a insance setup and a wet dream haha, May I ask though have you ever thought about using a server case? I feel like maybe ur wasting alot of the fans potential when they are on a open air rig. If the air gets directed in one direction in a server case (a air tunnel) Like a straw, that might utilize the fans to the fullest. Also fans do run on power hehe
    I understand if you think server cases are expensive and i agree but they are easy to build with fiber board and the kind of wood people use for rig frames.

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад

      Server cases cant fit the radiators that's why I used an open air. The fans use 1.7W each which is very little compared to the whole rig lol. I just cant fit the cards and radiators and hoses in a server case.

    Nice rig mate, i hope you will break even because mining FLUX isn't really that profitable and it burns way more energy than mining ETH and even ERGO :$
    Have a great weekend ahead and keep on mining

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад

      The 2080ti earns 20-30% more Fiat mining FLUX than eth. Yes the power is increased but the profits are also increased.

  • @benoittheminerandgamer
    @benoittheminerandgamer 2 года назад +2

    Very cool build! But not efficient at all 2150w in the software so at the wall it's about 2380w. For that wall power you can get 17 RTX 3070 FHR.

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад +1

      This is mining flux not Ethereum. The efficiency of 2080ti and 3070 FHR on flux is same if not better on 2080ti

  • @kirkhilles523
    @kirkhilles523 2 года назад +1

    Wow, very nice and while overkill is something that is beautifully overkill. Could you tell me about the "push/pull configuration"? I haven't seen that before. I literally just installed a couple of redux noctuas on a RX 5700 that needed some attention and would love to install more.

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад

      Push pull means that the radiator has one fan pushing air through it and one pulling air through it. This means that there is a fan on both sides of the radiator setup in a way to move as much air through it as possible.

    • @nickzwa
      @nickzwa 2 года назад

      wow dude. push/pull is cooling basics. If your going to do something like computers. its good to know how stuff works. push/pull is simple. when have a fan "blowing" its "forcing" a large volume of air through a small hole. this creates a high pressure on one side of the fan, and a low pressure on the other side. when you have fans stacked up, you get a compressor, like a jet turbine. the result is higher movement of air then one fan alone, as there is a complementary low pressure area behind the first fan, created by the second fan. imagine trying to push a log through a tunnel. and you have a friend to pick up the front end and pull while you push. which makes moving the log easier? your not goign to move the log twice as fast, but it will be easier to move.

    I really wish somebody would design a rack mount case designed for enthusiast water cooling, for instance it could have a lower air intake where air is pulled in to the case inside and does a 90 degree turn to feed dual 360mm rads that are laying downward in a pull-push config which would result in hot air hitting the case lid before being pulled out by rear fans to be vented out of the case.

    • @mingscustoms
      @mingscustoms  2 года назад

      Very few enthusiasts are racking their equipment at home which is why I presume the products aren't there :( . If you look into the server space they have some really cool water cooling setups.
