  • Back in 1997, I interviewed Michael Richards for the release of the film: "Trial and Error." We talked about his time in the military, his early career struggles, the reactions he gets from fans, the challenges of fame, and a few other things. Enjoy!

      ​@@of_oniichan7755 He went on a racist rant in 2006. While doing his stand-up act, hecklers were being disrespectful and he lost his cool. He apologized and if you look at recent interviews, he's full of regret and remorse. I'm black and white. I'm personally on Michael Richards side on that. I forgive him for what he did. When you're angry and full of rage, you say and do things that you don't mean. Words slip out. We're all humans and we all make mistakes.

      There is a very interesting episode of "comedians in cars getting coffee" with him as a guest star. He shares a lot of insight on the repercussions of "that night"

    Michael did a very physical sketch playing army, like a little kid, on "Fridays".
    It really had no ending, but was sort of interesting.

    It's so sad that the industry blacklisted him after that incident, like he can't do no wrong and others don't make mistakes. Imagine what good movies he would make.

    It's a pity he didn't become a director. He clearly knows how to make good, funny productions. He might have become one of the great Hollywood director/performers

    You can tell it’s obvious. He never wanted that type of spotlight and most likely self sabotaged himself to get away from the love. Interesting and sad.

      I finally looked it up and watched it, it wasn't part of a bit and it was actually pretty offensive. He was being heckled by someone in the crowd who happened to be black and he snapped and went on an angry rant with a bunch of racial slurs. It was tough to watch.
