Willem and Corey are literally the personification of awkwardness that every film photographer has. But in a very cute way ;) Much love from Berlin, keep up the amazing videos
I shot film my whole life because well, that’s all there was. I switched to digital because I was so fed up with film. But now after watching your channel for a while now and dammit, you’ve given me the film bug all over again. I love it? I now use both digital and film side by side and couldn’t be happier. You guys have amazing talent and thank you for inspiring this old photog.
My partner and I always use a different format, that way we can kinda cheat with the film by shooting with the digital and checking his it looks before dialing in the settings for manual 😅
this guys are soo chill with they're photography, I always get stressed with my landscape photos, always not eased with compoaition, light, color ... wished i was this chill
It’s like Netflix publishing a whole season of your favorite show with you, Corey, Joe and Negative Feedback all posting within a couple of hours from each other😅
Willem has these kinds of pictures you would love to hang in a rustic tavern or a city hall. They are somehow timeless and I would love to have a print of them.
the pictures you took were so great! But also the whole video was just pretty fucking dope to watch. Kickin that on and relaxin while having some beautiful locations to gaze upon... magical. Even from a damn screen!
With the colour negative film that they are using you really don't need a sophisticated metering technique. The built-in light meter is more than adequate. With a little experience you can even learn to estimate the exposure well enough. With reversal film the need for accuracy is much greater.
Hey Willem, I love your videos! I got one significant question though. How do you manage shooting in bright sunlight with a wide aperture with an ISO 400 film, and the old Mamiyas only firing with only 1/500 and 1/1000 max shutter speed? I always compare that to my digital camera, where I basically only get a properly exposed result at 1.4 when I shoot at 1/8000 and still have highlights slightly blown out. Do you use NDs or some push/pull technique combined with darkroom magic? If it is ND, what brand would you recommend to not get a crappy one which messes with the colors? Thanks so much in advance!
I noticed your photos have a strong blue cast compared to Corey's, which it sounds like you could see through the viewfinder. Is that what gave your photos that awesome color? Or was it post processing?
Hello, i am silvan from bali 19 years old, i am just start shoot analog for last few months, i want to ask what is the most important part of film camera to make a good and sharp quality? because in digital it has sensor and lens, but film camera only lens and film, so i am little bit confused, i hope someone will explain to me. Thank you!
Thanks for coming through to Tennessee homie!
Thanks for having me dude!!
until willem read out loud ur last name in this vid, i always thought it was wolfenbanger
Willem and Corey are literally the personification of awkwardness that every film photographer has. But in a very cute way ;) Much love from Berlin, keep up the amazing videos

"The Color through here is better than REAL LIFE."

If you just listen to the video without watching it, it sounds like Willem is just talking to himself

In need of a camera strap, who makes the best quality/nicest??
It is strange. I have been watching legacy youtube videos through the lens of Covid! 2019 seems like another world!

We need more episodes of, "Reily and Jonesy shoot on cameras that cost more than my car" this is to good
As a beginner to film photography, it would be awesome if you could do a tutorial on how you light meter.
With the colour negative film that they are using you really don't need a sophisticated metering technique. The built-in light meter is more than adequate. With a little experience you can even learn to estimate the exposure well enough. With reversal film the need for accuracy is much greater.

"Just a bunch of old garbage everywhere in the south". Ah yes. I should go finish my roll on some of it later.
Is it just me or does anyone else also thinks that they both sound exactly the same? (And also kinda talk the same way...hahaha)
Rich Kids with cameras. Beyond my pocket.
You can’t fool me Willem and Corey are the same person
what meter are you using?
We’re you metering at 400? Or 200?
I noticed your photos have a strong blue cast compared to Corey's, which it sounds like you could see through the viewfinder. Is that what gave your photos that awesome color? Or was it post processing?

Yo Willem, if you wanna travel out to Seattle, ride in a 70s Westy, and shoot some film in the mountains lemme know
Esto es lo que los chicos en Estados Unidos deberían estar haciendo, cargando cámaras 1:33 y no armas.
