Working on building my brand is so exciting! I breed cresteds, chahoua and viper geckos at the moment. It’s awesome to see someone else from Denver doing this.
As a Filipino, I find it interesting to see people who are passionate about keeping geckos. When geckos are normal habitants in houses in the Philippines. Keep up the passion and drive.
You both have inspired me and probably many more!! You guys are doing a great job thanks to your videos so many geckos are living a happy life .Keep it up👍🏼
You are awesome Brian. I have been working with crested geckos for 4 years now. A few of my beautiful breeders came from you. :) I have about 22 breeders and oodles of babies this year. As a stay at home mom this has been a great project for me to have a hobby and also bring in some extra income. :) I now have some gargoyles, eurodacylodes, and a pair of leachies in my collection as well. They are outgrowing my reptile room.
Hi Brian Chris here at Cheyenne geckos . I met you 3 years ago at a Repticon I set my mind on buying crested geckos from you it was my first time at a Repticon. I seen some of your geckos and the prices you had somebody else working the table for you. I like what you had going on and I said I think I can do that too I only have 45 crested geckos do veiled chameleons two Panther chameleons and 1000 isopods. So thanks for spending the time talking to me that day you inspired me.
That's a really interesting story! I also had my first life-changing interaction with a crested gecko at a pet store, where I ended up getting my first crested gecko (I still have her, she is super sweet). Now I have about 20 geckos and some eggs in the incubation container, trying to start breeding them to sustain my hobby. Your story is inspiring, I hope I can make my breeding goals a reality some day the way you did!
It's crazy how one small thing can change the course of one's life. I was introduced to ball pythons by RUclips click bait when I was 33. 1 year later reptiles were my obsession.
I originally went herping in my backyard during my childhood with my father and my grandfather. I even kept some wc american toads for around 2 years! stumbled upon goherpings axolotl videos last year. Binged his vids religiously, expanded my prior knowledge from working with herptiles at our local zoo, and now I feel like even in a year my knowledge has grown so much! I only have 2 axolotls, and one crested gecko, but I'm hoping to diversify my collection. I just came across your channel when I was looking for info on polymelia and the ethics surrounding it in the pangea forums. Your videos are so great, you radiate sich kind energy, and you really know your stuff. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge with all degrees of hobbyists.
You are one of the top breeders that actually convinced me I could start breeding too. My life dream is to be a great Crested Gecko Breeder like you, and with a little bit of time and hard work I think I can make it into the business and be happy with all my geckos. I know what it feels like to have family think you are crazy starting a breeding business with reptiles but I want to do it. You push me to believe it is possible and that I can do it! I appreciate everything you have done. I hope I can do this too! Im starting small but once I get an apartment I am gonna work every day to make this dream happen.
I listened to any single word and could feel the true passion of yours for this Job/Hobby. This is a big inspiration for any Hobby crested Gecko breeder out there
I have 2 crested harlequin geckos and 2 gargoyle geckos. Thinking of breeding. I also have 2 ball pythons that I would like to breed all are still too young to breed so just enjoying them. It’s great to hear your success story.
I always dreamed of having a small pet dinosaur and even a mini jungle / rainforest in a tank, when I was younger, then I saw jungle habitats at zoos, Pet Stores, museums, terrariums on tv, watching movies like Jurassic Park franchise,Prehisteria,10,000 BC,etc., and when I decided to research diy terrariums on RUclips ,I discovered the vivarium concepts and all the known pet Herps that could be housed in one, and I got My first gecko ( a Crestie ) I named Balornus in 2016.She’s 5 years old now.
Ok... nobody laugh at me for the dumb question... but are those Cresties in the cage on the right? The black/white spotted ones?! Cos they look MASSIVE and I thought Cresties were smallish, but that coloration is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and I must learn more about them!!
@@AltitudeExotics Well then, I feel like I need to be doing some research on Cresteds now. That dalmatian coloration alone has me falling in love with them already.... I don't have any geckos yet, but was researching and hoping to get into Leopard Geckos in a few months. I feel like I may have been leaning towards the wrong gecko. lol!
So glad I found this video. I relate so much I think the story is similar when ppl just stumble upon reptiles and fall in love. It’s just so amazing how life works. One little tiny event will change your life for good. I’m so happy that I found reptiles to be one of my biggest passion in life as well. I’m out here in Asia, trying to build my own reptile kingdom as well. I’m just getting started and I think I’ll be focusing on blueys and beardies. I hope maybe 5,6 years from now I can look back at this comment/video and realize how amazing the journey was.
That's awesome to know you live/lived in my hometown super astatic to hear that lol. I'm just getting started in the gecko hobby thanks for all the content definitely helps and appreciate the information you offer
Thank you for sharing your story, very inspiring! 🤩 --- I finally got to keep exotic animals this year (February), beginning with tarantulas and scorpions, and ending in glorious geckos (P. klemmeri and cresties). Crested geckos just stole my heart, though. They are magical creatures. I'm a bit like you were at one time, buying lots of high end geckos to breed with at the moment. I don't think I'm brave enough to go all the way, though. So I'm aspiring to breed high end geckos as a hobby, but very responsibly and with a seriousness to it. Exciting times, for sure. I do not have any friends that share my hobby, people who visit me think I'm a little weird, living in my own small zoo, but that's just who I am and I love this life. I certainly need no TV anymore. 😂 Keep up your great work, Brian, can't wait to add some of your offspring to my collection. It will happen as soon as I spot "the" gecko that I just cannot say no to, despite the distance. 😄 🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎
I think that the first time I ever realized I loved geckos was when I went to portland to see my sister.. My mom had a friend and their daughter had a Leopard gecko! We went over there for a place to stay and I got to hold him 1 or 2 times. He was the sweetest and I really miss him, I had the opportunity to get him but that never really worked out. Now, in a day or two I'll be getting my first gecko! His name is Leo but I'll definitely be changing the name, hes an adult Crested and I'm really excited to keep him!
Loved hearing your story. So inspirational. I have been breeding geckos for a few years now and I just recently started realize that it can be a career. Any tips I could use to start my own gecko business.
What an amazing video! I’m addicted to Cresties and Chahouas since one year right now! I’ve started with one fullpin red male and now I’m proud mommy of 2 Chahouas, 2 Eurydactylodes Agricolae and 26 Cresties from babies to adults. It’s my first breeding season with 4 pairs and I couldn’t be happier with all these amazing reptiles in my life ❤️ I’ve watched your videos to get to know more about 🦎 and I’m very happy to be part of the international community with so many kind persons who give good advices ❤️
This is soo freakin cool !! Thank you for never giving up on your dreams ! It’s soo inspirational to hear a story of a person who just goes out and does what they feel they need to do in this world . Keep doing what you’re doing 🙏
This is such an awesome video on so many levels. Maybe people see the success but don’t understand the huge time investment and sacrifices that need to be made to get to this point. Also it truly takes such an extreme, love, passion, almost obsession to be able to do this type of job well! I know what you mean about charts on the wall and just using the money you earn to buy even more reptiles! We breed some cresties, but mostly panther chameleons here. They do take up half the house! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. And yes, friends and family and spouses co-workers will think you are crazy. But I think done people are just called to to this. It’s like a gift or destiny or something. After college I started breeding crested and chams, didn’t get the respect or see the success right away and ended up going back to college to get a master’s degree in child psychology. 10 years post grad, guess what I’m doing?!? Not counseling kids! Wish I would have just stuck with my dreams and passion in the first place. But so glad I found my way back to it. Brian I’m so glad you never gave up on your dream and just kept pushing! You seem like a truly wonderful, down to earth person who loves these animals immensely and who equally loves sharing this experience with others. Our job is just as important. Because we are doing what we love, what we are born to do, and reaching many people we otherwise never would have met. It sends the message to believe in your dreams and follow your passions. Getting to share that message while doing what we love - what job could ever be better! Keep up the amazing work! I love your geckos and your videos. Most of all I love your desire to share your stories.
Thanks for sharing! We have our first set of eggs. One looks completely empty and can’t see through the other one at all! Anyone know what happened? @Altitude Exotics, how many geckos had you acquired or bred when that first year of profit took place? My husband is anti-creatures in the house but I’m leaning toward breeding them.
@@AltitudeExotics I've honestly always thought you looked like the singer in Blink 182's All the Small Things music video 🤣 To know you were actually in a band, can't wait for the eventual video!
I think what you mean to say in what you do for a living as: "I exploit reptiles inability to show happiness by keeping them in the bare minimum they need to stay 'healthy' while profiting off their reproduction; and chasing fetishized genetics wile running the risk of surfacing neurological disorders in the community of a common pet reptile." Wouldn't that be more accurate though?

Best animal youtuber that finally knows how to care for animals!
We are up to 8 at the moment with 5 on the way. Still haven't bred any. Waiting until next year for that.
Also can we get a room tour of the gecko room 🤓
