They say there are those who see the world as a glass half empty and those who see it half full. You, Dan, see the glass constantly spilling over. Thank you for all your positive videos and energy.
That shot of you two zooming 100 meters down the hill ... thinking all the time you had to come back for the camera ... that’s dedication to your art!❤️
You could tell Somi was NOT ready for that. I got worried when he said he didn't train at all for the riding lol. That's not good. Notice all the extra gear Dan was carrying at one point? Glad you two made it through safe and sound. This trip ain't no joke. Gotta be tough to handle the ups and downs of the trek, and see the beauty at the same time. (one more observation...I just realized this was a round trip journey! You're a good lad Dan to show your friend the ropes while not actually making any progress on your trip!)
Great video Dan! I've been watching you since you started in Alaska and I look forward to each video you produce. You have done an amazing job with your videos and they get better and better with each one.
The country and people are great. Of course every place has problems, but our cushy western lives are too constantly filled with the fears of Mexico and South America. 95% of it is wonderful.
Well done Somi! Bikepacking, especially with any significant elevation gain, is very difficult but you hung in there. Glad you got to experience the amazing natural wonders of Mexico with Dan.
You are such a nice bloke! Im so happy for you and somi to have shared a section of your trip. All the best, and see you in the next episode! Cant wait
What a beautiful part of Mexico! Your choice of music fit the scenery very well too. Brave man that Somi to take on a challenge like that and good on you for showing your friend the fine art of bike packing. Looking forward as always to the next one! Take care, Dan!
Thank you so much for another amazing video! And here’s to Sumi who will remember this as an amazing adventure despite the little side encounters with the road and all! You are both such an inspiration! I wish you both great health and safety and joy! In all your life adventures.
As an 83 year old bicyclist, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos and I can feel some of the difficulties. Keep it up and keep on pedaling. Jim Gambrell.
Lots of epic views on this trip! Oof I’d like to visit myself. Thanks for sharing. You were brave to take a novice along, and he was brave to join! Perhaps he may have had a better trip with more preproduction beforehand, perhaps not. Sometimes you need to just jump into new experiences. Somi was still smiling at the end and he joined you for that final loop. That says something.
You took your friend through the full boot-camp of cycling😅 He couldn’t hide his agony at some occasions. Who can blame him! What a great video. Fantastic storytelling and music to accompany it. Now I can’t wait for the next episode, you are still getting better and better.
Hi Dan, great riding and cool natural spots, you are doing great. You sound like a very positive and very encouraging person, maybe it would be best IF next time you can find someone similar to your personality to ride along. Have fun in Mejico and I hope that very soon you can make it to my beloved Patagonia
Hey dude, your videos have inspired me to hop on the bike and make my way to Argentina from San Diego after hiking 2650miles across the Pacific Crest Trail in the US, hopefully be able to buy you a beer somewhere along the way✌🏻
Thanks for your brilliant videos. Really enjoy your positive outlook to both the good and bad you face on the trip. One piece of feedback- why are there captions now. They're quite distracting when they pop up and the audio seems clear enough that they're not necessary. I preferred the cleaner approach.

Seconded. His positive disposition and eternal calm is exactly the vibe this spiraling US citizen needed this week.

Yep. I did 110km without training and it was hard. Recently did 480km with months of training and it was a piece of cake and I was having fun.
Great video Dan! I've been watching you since you started in Alaska and I look forward to each video you produce. You have done an amazing job with your videos and they get better and better with each one.

Refreshing to see Mexico in such positive light.

Somi was lucky to get to hook up with someone with tons of experience backpacking. I reckon it took him a while to recognize how lucky he was, though.

Hi Dan 👋 It's me, your other (new) friend who also wants to give this bikepacking thing a try!
Another awesome video, Dan! 💕
Hey Dan. Good stuff. I look forward to rolling some parallel tracks in Oaxaca come december and january.
great trip, lots of succes
So it looks Somi he needs to raise his seat a bit. See if that will fix his knee pain. From what I see it looks like his seat is too low.

Beautiful, all the way from South Africa
Always a pleasure watching one of your vids mate
Super awesome!
Excellent video as usual!
Beautiful video
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go alone also.
What a great trip!
What happened to your Jones handlebar? Did you exchanged it for a riser bar? 🤔
Good man... What's the advice for descent to avoid crashing? I had one myself...
tell your friend, it was the quickest way, to get up that mountain

Bien video Dan
Edits are fire

Will Somi ever bikepack again?
I want to join you one day
Just seen the cost of renting a bike from Bike Flow for a day $500
