What an embarrassment and shame upon Ireland that this is seen as a bargain. Pathetic and sad state of affairs.

There’s houses in most parts of Ireland that you can walk straight into for €85k, prices in Dublin are ridiculous

It's Dublin. Plenty of houses in far better condition and in better areas around the country for less. It's overpriced of course though.

It is hardly an embarrassment-it would be the same [if not more] in many big cities in the world these days. It is the land plot that is the4 valuable part-not so much the house.

Why is it shame and embarressment? How is Ireland (Dublin) different from other expensive cities in the world? The problem is everywhere, Irelands not special.

In most normal civilized countries , the owners of such ruins are fined and ordered by the court to destroy the building and clean up the place.

it would be illegal in some countries to sell a property in such conditions. Even rats would run away afraid to get some infections

Dog boxes can smarten up nicely with some clever renovation and creative imagination maximising the space available. Perfect for a young professional or a couple who want the advantages of living in the centre of Dublin. lovindublin.com/lifestyle/property/this-d1-cottage-is-absolutely-gorgeous-on-the-inside
Not for me as I don't want to live in Dublin but if I did I'd grab it at that price.

People who will buy this kind of houses are investers, to do this up probably cost around 3000 per square metre, and get a few shitty free furniture which is plentiful in Dublin, at a total cost below 250 grand then rent it out, 1200 1 bed 1800 2 bed

Having lived in Dublin 30 years ago if you gave it to me for nothing I could not live there again. Being from the countryside we used to keep the dogs in better accommodation than that hut.
