Nikolai Kapustin - Prelude No. 23, Op. 53

- It's such a shame that Kapustin's music isn't played more. He's definitely one of the most underrated composers. His preludes and concert etudes are so much fun to play and to listen to.
Let me know in the comments what pieces would you like to hear next.

Bring us so good memories - so sad of his passing last July 2020!
Sorry for this, but: I think you shouldn't have said "So sad of his passing" with an exclamation mark..
Kapustins music is always interesting, it never relaxes in a way classical music does, i discovered him from etude 3 and i thought it was un sospiro but when it started playing i was pleasantly surprised
Check out his piano concerto no.2
@@SLDDPiano alright, i actually listened to his saxophone concerto last night and it was so nice, but I'll put that on my list of him too
classical music is relaxing is such a wrong stereotype - listen to prokofiev suggestion diabolique
Jazzy and really tricky. Awesome, and nice to discover a new piece!
Check out Kapustin's concert etudes if you haven't yet :) Also his piano concerto no. 2
ya like jazz?
I do in fact like jazz
Thank you so much for this! As you say, his music should be played more, I'm so glad you can play him really well
Please do more Kasputin! Jazz fits perfectly with synthesia effects
I'll definitely do more jazz, this channel was supposed to originally be more jazz oriented but my classical videos have been getting more views so I'm trying to balance it.
@@SLDDPiano Keep up the good work!
Rip Kapustin.... Nice performance... Thank you for sharing...
Nice, keep it up
We all like jazz 🌈
I wish everyone did :/
Yike

YOU ARE AMAZING, JUST BOUGHT THE BOOK OF ALL THE PRELUDES YESTERDAY
Also very nice playing, sometimes too fast though imo
Thank you, have fun with those! I also think I did it a bit too fast but I only realized that after uploading...
I told my brother this was a song from pokemon and he believed it
LMFAO that's pretty accurate
Can you do kapstin variations op.41? Really love that one
You should play Frederick Delius - three preludes for piano I. Scherzando. It’s one of my all time favorites, I think it’s pretty underrated. It’s short and easy, but it would mean a lot
Amazing performance btw!
I'll check it out :)
it's very nice! How long have you been playing the piano for?
For quite some time LOL, I'd say at least 2 weeks :D
@@SLDDPiano definitely 😂
Where did you get the sheet music? This is amazing
Dance for me, puppet boy!
Great performance! If you take requests, I'd like you to play godowsky's arrangement to star spangled banner and some Ravel too (maybe la valse?)
Thank you!
Ravel will probably come sooner than another Godowsky piece haha
@@SLDDPiano yes ravel
Chopin Cello Concerto
Interesting

This is really nice
I recommend Kapustin Concert Étude No. 1
The rest of them is up to you
I've been looking to get into jazz/kapustin. Would you say this an accessible piece to someone new to the genre?
If you have sufficient classical skills, yes. Kapustin isn't necessarily a jazz composer so you don't really need any jazz experience to get into it. You could play some ragtime first to prepare if you want.
art Tatum is very similar he probably studied Tatum.
Fonky boi ya like jazz
0:25
Parts of it remind me of Eroll Garner
Request: Liszt Ballade no.2 (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞
That might take a while LOL
Слишком быстро
Even better than the Master's own rendition
kapustin had fonky music
rip kapustin
i smell pennies
Next:
something from Kapustin Concert Etudes Op. 40 (except 3 - he is played too much)
way too fucking fast.
No
wayyyy too fast.
