This is part two of my mom‘s house tomorrow I am showing my mom‘s basement bar. My dad built a real bar in the basement to have people over to party. I also show the addict where I sleep every day and I show more rooms in the house .
Mr GiV you're a great storyteller and your precious mom deserves applause for inviting us to her warm abode once again.
We love you, your mom, your friends, your perspective. Your mom is looking great! Her house is awesome!!!
He's a great RUclipsr
Your cat pfp 10/10 🖤
@@Bob-kk2vg my cat's name is Bob. I'm not kidding. Lol ❤️
1:20 , ya man there is nothing like pizza , when I was in Cuba , they would put corn , chicken and pineapple on the pizza with tiny shreds of scotch bonnet peppers , it was great , they make great pizza's , anyways house looks nice , I use to collect those German beer cups , I still have a few
@@agirl2028 awww he’s so sweet! Those eyes ❤❤❤! Btw I totally knew he was a fellow Bob. All us Bobs are in a secret club and he is the president. 🤣🙃🫶
As somebody who has worked in bars for around 20 years I can honestly say that this is a completely professional bar…it’s kind of mind blowing! The detail is incredible. You Dad was extremely talented with his hands…a true craftsman. You should definitely throw a party here GIV with your close friends and your Mom. Would love to see a video of this 😅
Yes, record it or go live. We can have a drink with you!😊
Perhaps his drinking days are over alcohol may not be the best option for a celebration in his home
That would be super cool I second that GIV
I doubt if very many are drinkable...the liqueurs are definitely too old.
Let's drink to that wonderful one of a kind bar. More bar videos. Thank you.
Glad your Mom is better. Dad sure was talented. You are a good mix of both your parents. Momma's beautiful smile!
I’m a 41 year old second generation American. Three grandparents were polish and one was from a Lithuanian descent. Our family members also all had knickknacks, useless pottery, old cameras, and other stuff. It was purely decorative, usually from trips, items that were sentimental, or gifts. I think many Europeans from a certain generation (especially around WWII) didn’t have much growing up, and filling their home with things like that made them feel like they had nice things to remind them of good times.
Thanks for showing us more of the house. It’s nice to see all the things your dad made. You keep saying nobody looks or uses the stuff - but YOU are enjoying it while you’re there, and your mom sure enjoys it. Don’t worry about what’ll happen with the stuff someday. Just enjoy it now.
I agree, you should use the basement sometimes. You don’t even need a giant party. Just invite your close friends to enjoy. Make it like your man cave in Germany. Turn on some of those records, have a few drinks, and enjoy it!
A lived in home is a reflection of its occupants after many decades. Priceless.
The tour of your Mom's house is great. So happy to see her feeling better and thanks to her for allowing you to share her house. Her home is beautiful, just like her.
It's a Great tour
Not a speck of dust anywhere. Impressive.
I think your dad would be very proud of you showing all of this the craftsmanship and hard work your dad put in two that beautiful basement❤
Wow just beautiful. You can never sell this. Please never sell. It has your Dad's energy there. So neat so many precious memories . This can never be replaced. Absolutely amazing
My dad built a Ratz Keller bar in the basement. I have my parents German Stein's.. German's can build with perfection. My dad loved working with wood. He is like your father. Work with his hands und brain. I miss my parent's.
I have a golden yellow phone. Your's is green. My dad wood carved his beans.
We APPRECIATE it. Talented. Danke papa. Remember singing all the German song's and dancing as kinder.
LIEBE DISH Mutte 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇺🇸👍🤟🥀
Danke for my memories. Truly DANKE
I have the same problem with my Dad’s house. There is so much stuff that I don’t want but will need to sell or cart to a second hand shop when he is gone. When my mom was alive I begged her to go through her closets and get rid of the old stuff, but she just laughed and said it would be up to me. Both my parents were born during the depression, and that feeling of never having enough has not gone away, so they kept EVERYTHING! 🤦🏻♀️
Going home to Moms is the best. I agree 100% My Moms house smells the same from 40 years ago.
With all my respect to you and your lovely mom, once you showed us your cluttered apartment.... that was a nightmare not your mom's house. Your Mom's house is 100% lovely as she is💟
Hi Mike another fabulous blog. Your dad what a talent, a fabulous woodworker. Plus your mom and dad working building the house together. A true team. Then you and your electricity. It’s a true family built house.
A party before you leave again to America would be spectacular. You never fail to make me laugh.
It is interesting , especially for American that never leave home, how the other world lives. So it is educational for many. Thanks for sharing and thank you to mom for allowing you to film her home !!!!
I agree!
I have a German heritage, married a German have Getman nick nacks and steins etc. Mixed alot with Germans here in Australia and belonged to an Austrian club and saw heaps of shows from Germany that came to our club, did some of the language in all I loved the culture, singing decorations. Must be born in me. Thanks for lovely video with your forever happy Mom.
That bar is better stocked than some of the REAL bars I’ve been to.
That bar is a work of art, please never destroy it
Its a blessing that you can stay with your sweet mother while she's not feeling well .🤗❤
GIV, your mom has the coolest house ever!
I don’t know if a lot of people have a childhood home like that with all those memories. What a treasure that is. You are Blessed. And I wouldn’t worry about your Mom’s things. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Enjoy every day with her, you both are seriously Blessed! 🙂
Mike Wonderful Thank You for sharing Germany and your mom's house. Your mom's kitchen is great. Thats when they made good kitchens to last- real wood. Your dad did a wonderful job on the laundry room and basement. You are a great son for helping her. Hey mom Love you.
Your mom is a great housekeeper! I love her pottery and the cozy home.your dad was quite talented, wow!
Hi . I’m 53 , and my mum is exactly like your mum washing ironing cleaning. Your basement is so amazing. Your dad, mum, and you are so talented and amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing your most precious memories and your mums home . God bless you lovely man . ❤
The tour of your mother's house is like a tour of a museum! Such beautiful artifacts! And of course, memories for you. Glad to see your mother looking so healthy. What a treasure she is. Thank you.
You’re great! Enjoy the time you have with you mom. It’s priceless.
Don't sell the house.. Move into the house when your mother passes away... It's a beautiful, cozy house.. It's a great place for you when you get older..
So nice of you, showing us around. Love the 70's green telephone.
It's like a time capsule. How lucky that you can still enjoy all your dad's hard work. So many had their things thrown out after childhood. Your mother is special to have kept your memories.
Mike don’t doubt where you came from we are so interested in your life and what made you who you are your mom loves that your there.
And you know what you can visit the BS in California soon enough. Your good enough to show us your past and present
Best to you in 2023
Mike..your father made a super nice home for you and your family. It's obvious how much you appreciate him. After their gone that's all we have unfortunately is the fond memories and what they left behind. God bless Mike! I wouldn't change a thing.
Just a beautiful home! Thank you so much! RIP TO YOUR DAD. 🙏💜🌹
It's so great that you share your childhood memories and home with us. Thanks a lot! Best wishes for you lovely mom 💓
your moms house is a collectors dream
Great video. Very sentimental. The GIV had me in tears over here in Anaheim. On a side note, I had been wondering if your mom had Miele in her home. I saw it in the background in the kitchen and was thrilled to see the washer. Big Miele fan here- washer/dryer/dishwasher/vacuums/laundry soap etc. :) I think you just introduced that brand to a lot of us in the US. And after your glowing review of how well it cleans, Miele should send you one for your LA apartment:)
Miele is the brand our grandmothers used and it stands for quality. Its probably the most used kitchen devices brand here in germany besides Siemens. Miele is really good but i would say NEFF is the best but more expensive.
Mike Love Your Mom Kitchen Alot of Beautiful Memories 🙏❤
Your mom is looking good today. I hope she feels better. Thank you for sharing your childhood home with us. Growing up there was a German family on the next block and there was always something cooking in that kitchen. They had beautiful woodwork and a beer tap on the wall! The mom also ironed everything dang thing! This was in Houston TX. Glad I was exposed to their culture.
Its like a child, teenager and adult dream house all put together, such a wonderful father
Your dad was so talented, I bet you learn a lot from him. Thx for showing us your mom’s house. It’s beautiful.
Thanks for sharing my friend. Hello Mom 👋 So happy for you and Mike being happy together. Priceless 🙏❤️💪👍👋
So nice to have a childhood home.
My mother was the same as your mother in Mississippi. Our mother had everything saved from our childhood. Loving memories, from Texas
You are so blessed to have a great mom and family and friends that love you so much. Have a wonderful night sweet man!!
I like all your videos; but I especially enjoyed this one. Your mother is a sweet soul.
Oh my goodness, part 1 was awesome and now this is fantastic! The Meila machine, wish we had them here. Your Mom keeps a beautifully organized home. Your Dad did beautiful work and you can see the love! God bless and keep you both healthy. Thank you for letting us get a taste of your youth in your old home. Bittersweet memories for you.
Mom likes it and that's ALL that matters. Be nice😊
I really enjoy watching all your history growing up... the cool old pictures of you and places and people you have met. I was an American girl obsessed with Germany as a kid and you were a German boy obsessed with America. I feel like you are an old friend. I LOVE to see you and your friends/mom/videos 🥰
I'm half German and have always been fascinated by the amazing country
As a german i can say the same, but to be honest iam more interested in the older USA, like 20s to 90s.
But its such a huge country with so many different cultures, it is realy interesting.
One of my favorite Channels on RUclips is Peter Santenello who did many interesting series about the Amish or Texan Farmers sand so on.
Liebe Grüße!
Hagen is a German last name. The name Hagen is originally called "Heger" or "protector". He is known for Hagen by Tronje from the Rhine Nibelungen. Hagen has courage and strength. There is also a big German city called Hagen.
Wow! Your dad was very talented in carpentry and also very hardworking.Bssicaly a hard-working family.Sure one day this house could be sold for a couple million! Your mom looks much better. Stay well .🧙
Mike my mom has passed I really enjoy seeing your mom and her smile.
love, love, love your Mom's smile!
Your Mother's house is so cozy and inviting. Thanks Mike!! Your videos are mind candy for alot of people and let us get away from the daily grind. Never stop!
Of course we love your moms house…we love your mom and you too 😊😊
I'm 100% german. So I grew up in my German grandmother's kitchen and my mom's kitchen and they look exactly like your mother's kitchen. Even generations of Germans that have lived in the United States for years and years and years generators upon generations still do the same thing my great-grandmother that was German did the same thing same look in the same kitchen so there you go and by the way do not paint those cabinets white. That old retro style is coming back and it's actually worth something so hold on to that look
About right you are !
Mike, does your lovely mum get help with cleaning and to get up on a ladder to dust on top of cupboards, thanks for post and very nice.
My friends German grandmother s house looked the same too
I was going to paint my kitchen oak cabinets last week, took the paint and such back to the store lol Too much work since the whole house has oak trim, doors etc.
The German people really know how to celebrate life! They don't need an occasion to get the friends and neighbors together! They call Friday nights feierabend, which means party night! They get together with friends and family, throw up some beer tables and benches in the basement or a tented area in the yard. Start up some hit parade musik and party...sweet memories from times spent in Germany with my Mom's family. They really know how to celebrate life and show love for one another😘
Lots of beautiful memories in your home and those picture. Priceless
Mom's Helll Kitchen is funny, Mom would rather have Pizza...Love it....
Vielen Dank für so. Viele liebe Grüße Michaels Mam
Your father did an amazing job with the house & all that woodwork is beautiful!!!! My parents did similar at our childhood home too. My dad built with his hands. What was difficult getting my mom to try & get rid of some stuff in the house after dad passed. It was packed full of stuff & hard for her to dust & keep clean. Maybe ask your mom to put names on things she wants people to have after she's gone, God forbid it won't happen for many years. Watching this video makes me smile. You're not alone GIV there's others who's family home is like walking into a time capsule!! Tell mom hi & hope you all have a great week! Love these videos!!! 🙂💕
GIV you are a fantastic GERMAN MAN who takes pride of your roots and your videos are witnessing true friendship of character. Our mothers decorate the same way and are wonderful woman. My mom is from Munich and is true Bavarian which I witness leaving this world on the 5th of Jan. Those mugs are heritage and if you want to sale them, I would be honored to have them along our walls. That is your culture to be proud of and honestly you should move back to be with your mom, life is short and she wont be around forever. Make those memories dear friend.
I’m from the uk and think it’s brilliant to see how you grew up , lots of respect to your dad for doing the house so cool , and as always love to your wonderful mum
WHAT A LOVELY MOM AND BEAUTIFUL HOME!!!☆☆☆☆
I Absolutely love this video Mike! It's awesome listening to your stories and where you grew up you should do more of this type of video so we can hear more about you and your past! It's great to see your mom again! I'm glad she's doing a lot better!
Love the Bier Mugs and Bar. Sweet set up for a wonderful lady. Your mom is great Mike. Stay safe both of you.
I love all your videos Mike.👍
STAY THERE & BE COMFY BE WITH YOUR MOM, WE ALL WANT YOU TO BE COMFY & WITH MOM !!!
That is one amazing collection and what a great house your mom has, it’s really a treasure trove Mike,,all that fantastic woodwork your father did and the bar is quite a beautiful spot to hang out in, hope you and your mom will be able to enjoy it for a very long time, keep up the good work with your videos, as you can see people do like whatever you film and upload on RUclips because it’s all so genuine 👏👏👍👍
Your dad was amazing!
all of the woodwork and evrything is so pretty don't change it so lovely
GIV our house was built in 1973 and recently renovated inside and out. Our kitchen and bathroom cabinets got a few coats of white paint….spectacular! We get so many compliments, even from professional contractors…..we love your Moms idea!
Mike I am 50 and can relate to this video very well my friend. I have alot of the same memories and feelings as you. My Dad was also very good at making things and building things. My Mom is still alive as well and I have the same emotions when I visit her as well. Thank you for this video. I’m happy to see your Mom is doing better. Choo sing(spelling?)
Tschüssing 😉
Your Mom is the real deal !!!🌾🎈🎶🎭🙏🏼🇺🇸🎠 #blessings
Your a cool guy and have a sweet Mom. My ex was from Austria. Went there a few times. Not Germany but my grandmother spoke German as a child. So have German ancestors. Your Mom's house is great. Love it. So blessed too have parents like you did.
Hi Mom!! So happy to see your smiling face & recovering! I have been, praying for you! Your house, is soo beautiful & your backyard, is so lovely & relaxing! Your bar, in the basement, wow! The craftsmanship, is incredible!! Mike, keep taking care, of your Mom & each other. God Bless!
This video is better than an MTV crib vid. I'd imagine some of those items are collectables. What's even more valuable are all the memories in your heart and soul, that's priceless. While you're visiting, take a lot of photos of you and your mom as a keepsake ❣️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Love this video of the basement bar. It was like walking through a museum with you and the back story's are special. Do Not Let anybody paint that kitchen, it's great as it sits all original. I love your mother's ceramic Crocks. It was a fun fantastic time capsule. Have your mother tell you about everything in the house, walk through the house and have her tell you what where and why and how she got it where it came from get a video log of everything she owns and has collected and you will keep that forever in your memories when the time comes for you to sort you'll know the backstory of it just like what you're doing for us telling a back story of your life❤❤❤❤
Moms house is so adorable! So cool your dad built the house! Mom keeps it absolutely gorgeous 🥰 I really enjoy these tours and sharing memories with you both!🤗💜
Your dad did a beautiful job on your mom's house. He was a talented man. Leave it the way it is and don't paint that knotty pine wood. Very cozy and your mom is a great mother. Many blessings to you both. From Lancaster, CA .. I was once in Germany and loved it. My grandmother was 100% German. German Pancakes 👍
Hello "mom".... so glad you are both looking and feeling better ... and love your mom is letting you film her house... have enjoyed everything you have been showing us since you first got back to Germany...
Thank you so much...
Love you and your mom... and your friends. Take care. Give your mom a hug for me... such a sweet lady.
Your lucky to be able to see your childhood home intact!
GIV I love your content, I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree because if your Mom had a youtube channel I would follow religiously, she is the German Mom everyone needs, from German life hacks to being the amazing Mom she is!😍👌🤗
Michael, you are so BLESSED to have such a great mother, and that house-WOW!!! Mom looks a little tired give her a hug for me!!!
The best place in the house was the secret bar! So cute! It’s too bad you don’t drink. I would be celebrating with mom!
This was a lovely video Mike of your Mums home. So nice to see how your Dad helped decorate it, when he was alive, with help from your mum, making it a family home. A home has a soul when it’s loved and cared for. I believe that. Watching your video reminded me of my family home, where I grew up. When my dad was alive, he was a machinist, and he worked in the rag trade in the east end of London, in the factories, during a time when there was factories everywhere in east London. And at home, like you, my dad had a singer sowing machine, which was left in the kitchen, near the kitchen table, or in the hallway. And I use to remember when I was young, watching my dad making alterations to some garments he made earlier in the day in the factory, remembering how my dad used a small tin of benzine oil to lubricate the sowing machine. And I can still remember the smell coming from bundled up fabrics tied together with string, which was left below the sowing machine on the kitchen floor. And all the different colour cotton reels left scattered around the sowing machine, and inside the sowing machine drawer. It was a singer sowing machine that was built into a solid wooden table, with a chair. I also remember those old dial up telephones with telephone cords. We had so many of them over the years, when I was young. I’m now 51. When my mum passed away in 2011, and one of my sisters in 2012, I was living in the family home at the time. And like you, I was surrounded with so many happy memories. A lot of stuff, and it was incredibly hard to let go of most of it, because I couldn’t take it with me when I moved into my own home. But I’ll never forget that moment when I moved out and said goodbye to my family home, when it was sold, moving into a new borough, away from the area where I grew up, and knew people. It was hard letting go, but you know, my mum, sister, and dad, and all those happy memories I had live on in my heart. I was lucky though, because my family helped me organise things, when I was feeling extremely low, and unmotivated to do anything. And I look back, after watching your heartfelt video and feel blessed I had those times. Cheers Mike to you and your mum. 🍻:)
Haha. Your Mom is where the humor came from. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Your parents house is beautiful. What a collection! Your mother's stoneware collection is awesome. Let her enjoy it. Your mother looks like she is feeling better. Thank you for sharing her home...I really enjoy seeing how other people live in a different country. Who rides the Harley Mike?
Thank you so much for your home tour, your dad was so talented and so is your mother
your moms house is fantastic. its a real home. i remember my grandmothers house and the smells whenever we would go and visit, she was always cooking and feeding us. my family are american portuguese, and always remember the portuguese food my grandmother always made for us. DELICIOUS. your mother reminds me a little of my grandmother EMILIA. thank you mike for sharing your family history with us.
I loved the video!! With all of your family’s history and memories in one place, don’t ever sell your house. Like ever. My siblings and I decided to sell our childhood home that our parents owned for over 65 years which has been the worst decision that has ever been made. It still hurts my heart. I occasionally drive by the house without the kids and the Mrs and cry my heart out. I would do anything to just take a nap in that house one more time. I always felt so safe in there.
Thank you for showing your old house. It seems to me its first time to watch a German house all corners. I think its more interesting to see a home than a museum. Though its small home but every small household goods show both history and memory of people who lived in there once realistically. Today I realize anew that the history of a family and their home are surprising textbook which shows how we have lived and shared our love in it.
GIV! You need to throw a party in honor of your dad, he would probably love it! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I really appreciated this video.. That bar wow What a great time capsule of epic memories.. your dad was a man of awesome skill.. You should for sure throw a party before leaving.. I bet your mom would love to see that room being used again...
Those cobalt blue gray jars, the collection could be with $12,000 or more... that doesn't include the small ones in the other room..
Hi Mike, aka GIV, Thank your lovely Mom for allowing us into her home. What a stunning backyard. I bet it is so gorgeous in the Summer when everything is in bloom. There’s no place like your childhood home & especially the memories. So thankful you share so much with us. Always wanted to see different Countries. Thank you for taking us along. Your Mom is a Sweetheart. ~Anita
GIV! DUDE! You never cease to amaze me!!! An electrician!! I sooo love the bar and your attic bedroom. The woodwork throught the house is gorgeous! Speaking of gorgeous, your beautiful Momma looked wonderful! Her smile always brightens my day. I loved your baby/toddler picture taken in your crib. Such a happy little fellow with that great smile in his onesie! Can't wait to see your next video! Take care and tell your Momma I said 'hello'!!! PEACE OUT ✌
I love your Mums house ……. so much personality …….. GIV must get that big personality from mum
It's so wonderful to see your mom she lights up the world with her smile. She looks like she recovered. TYVM GIV 🕊 🤍 🌎 🙏 ✨️
I also come from Germany so I KNOW what you mean when you talk about the smell is pure memories. When I visit relatives , even walking up the stairs in the 'treppenhaus' up to the appartment , even the stairs smell German 😂
A tip for your mom, there are firms that sell brand new fronts for the kitchen. When you don't want to buy a whole brand new kitchen, the doors alone can be replaced so noone has to spend time painting. They have people who come and measure and make it perfect , easy peasy.
Big love to you and your Mama 💝
German mammies are so like Irish mammies love their sons and homes , beautiful home and wonderful work your dad did , I love the little cool bar , your an inspiration GIV but so Is your beautiful mama , happy new year to you both from Ireland ☘️🇮🇪
Your Mom is 1 of a kind❣️ Your Mom is the BEST 💖
Hello from Los Angeles. It's raining today and very cold. I'm so glad you're experiencing a little touch of nostalgia back at home. Your mom's a sweet lady. Enjoy your time with her while you have it! I'm glad she's doing better. Good health to you both in the New Year.
Let's not forget the gardening.
Hello Mike and family, ali the best from Finland, love your videos 👍 Wish I could go back time like that, memories remains 💗
Very nice I love it, Hi Mom, you look so cute in your crib with your Teddy
I really enjoyed seeing your family home. I had a dog named Dolly too, but we spelled it Doli. I like all your mom's decorations! I think they look very nice. So many memories, time does goes by too fast, I agree.
