    Look at Robert! He's so gorgeous, young, and adorable here! He's one of the most gorgeous creatures that has ever walked the earth! He has a beautiful soul! I don't care what anyone says he is still gorgeous today and shines even today at age 60!

    What a damn good, underrated song, to go along with a damn good, underrated and over-forgotten genius of a band that I listened to during tough times in my youth.
    I am now 54, searching for myself again, about to end my career as a meteorologist.

      Yeah. My top ones are Seventeen Seconds, 3 Imaginary Boys, Standing On A Beach, and Pornography. I just related to the deep songs on all these albums.
      I never really got into their more modern music beyond the late 70s/80s/very early 90s for some reason, as they seemed to had gone more "commercial", which too many great bands have to do to stay relevant.

    Here I am back again after 8 years to watch this. I always love to see my own comments I made on videos from so long ago. Anyway, I wanted to say that I love The Cure from this era, so dark and LSD drenched. I like how this video made them seem like either really big, or in a small room by the way the low windows and ceilings were placed.

    • @DJ_Hadez
      @DJ_Hadez 4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, an Alice in Wonder effect from the windows, very fitting for the period.

      @@robertflynn6686 I've actually done my research because the Cure is one of my favorite bands. Robert Smith was dating Mary Poole exclusively since they met back when they were still in school together. He is famous for his loyalty to her. Robert is on record in interviews saying he could never imagine throwing his arms around anybody but Mary during the filming of the video for Just Like Heaven, and that's why she's starring in it.

      however the real evidence points another direction, sorry.
      robert smith and simon gallop were secretly dating from the very days they met and started band, yes. wifes knew and agreed to let this go on; one reason why simons first wife left him was over the relationship on going. robert did love mary poole as you say, too. my source is simon. details never released to public. i dont care like them anyway.

      Wondering the same thing. At 3:02-3:03 you can just make out the shape of the headstock, which appears to be unmistakably an Ovation. Though the body shape is unfamiliar to me. Whatever it is, it certainly looks pretty cool. Almost enough to make me want one, despite really loathing Ovations for the most part.
