One of the greatest band ever from 1980. So funny and so young ! So special ! I do still love CURE and Robert Smith ! Their music changed the face of Music history !
Incredible! Haha. Simon is not even moving his hands. Lol has one trumpet making the noise of 7. Robert is mouthing the words like a he's backstage trying to remember lyrics, but Boris is going all out!!!!
That's cause he earnestly didn't have a clue about how that instrument functioned. He really only could play the drums, until Robert's songwriting evolved to where his drumming was no longer good enough
Smith looked and sounded different from anyone else. So unique! What a talent! Just like Heaven was a Smash! 💥 I remember that video playing in Clubs! It sounded huge! 👏🏻😊
Became a fan when Standing on the beach was out and Kiss Me was the first cure album I was waiting for, so when it came out I bought all the singles, vinyl versions, promo's etc. That's why this cure period will always be mine favorite.
Vive RUclips !
Yeah, I'm sure the band was cringing at having to pretend to play. I have always had tremendous empathy for bands that have to pretend to play/ sing for some throwaway TV appearance. Those shows disappear, but the music remains.
@@Dawn-zo2ny They're really not. I play trumpet and the fingering Lol's using for the trumpet is all wrong. Plus it's EXACTLY the same as the record. The guitar and bass are not plugged in.
+alejandro rodriguez "And the Trooper Award for appearing the least bored during a televised "air" performance goes to..." **opens envelope** "Hmmm..." **checks envelope for another card** "Aaaand the award.... apparently goes to... Lol Tolhurst? Yep. Lol.... Tolhurst.... That's what it says right here on the card. Wow. Is he here? Come on up, Lol!" (British voice from audience:) "He's asleep."
I love how hard they are NOT trying LOL

7:07 LMAO Porl miming electric guitar riffs with an acoustic guitar
Hahahahaha Robert turns the mic around 😂 These lip syncing sets are hilarious.

Robert in his best days... So adorable 💜
Such a forever talented band
Love The Cure love Robert Smith ❤️❤️❤️ seen him three times live can't wait till the next tour 😍🥰💖❤️🖤
My god...they're suffering
They can't wait for this torture to end!!!
Who on earth has the cure on their show and don't let them sing live!!!
I love how none of them even bothered with guitar straps, ridiculous!
Wow Simon, you're trying so hard you could break your fingers
Lol Tolhurst not even bothering to mime playing the trumpet properly.
That's cause he earnestly didn't have a clue about how that instrument functioned. He really only could play the drums, until Robert's songwriting evolved to where his drumming was no longer good enough

i remember clearly watching this at my home. 31 years ago...... Jesuschrist ¡¡¡¡¡

They had to lip sync on those tv shows. Can't you tell Robert isn't really trying to go along with it
Hasta doblando son geniales
my favorite formation of The Cure
Best Band in the World 👍👍😃
Joder!! Genial 👍❤️. Me has alegrado el día 🤟
Lol, the one-man horn section.
AND string section!
Quite hilarious as it's not even a real trumpet on the record, it's played on a synth.
Where the hell was I when they played this on TVE? I don't remember missing any Sábado Noche!
Why can’t I be Robert?
AMO A BANDA THE CURE ROBERT SMITH É LINDO SUA VOZ MAGNÍFICA ENFIM TD PERFEITO

Gracias por compartir saludos desde argentina 🇦🇷 💙 ...
Lol the multi-instrumentalist! Haha
Beautiful

i'm just curious, how are they pretending when they actually seem to be playing the instruments...?

Robert best Time :))
Simon is the most bored here

he's a bad boy
¿The Cure interpreta...?. The Cure escucha su propia música.
Simón está inmenso en el 4:25.
Qué bostezo !!!
Simon trying to remember where he is at 4:25
classic
Why don't you see what Robert's doing ❌
Watching the TV ❌
Lol tolhursrt tocando una trompeta..
No guitar straps ever
I feel so bad for them here .. ugh
Haha, cool Robert sounds like a hissing cat - 4:54
Why don't we see what your doing!
LOL LOL
so painful to watch geeeeez
Lol apparently can play any instrument. "lol"
This is not a Real live at all
Jajaja nunca les importó los playback jaja
Simon isn't even pretending to play his strings and Lol's trumpet is awful and out of time. Great footage just pity they had to use a backing track.
and the keyboard isn't even switched on! Hilarious
yeah because this is lip-synch
Cuánto ODIO los playbacks.... Es sumamente ridículo e intolerable.... Sí son músicos profesionales!!! Que toquen en directo joder!!!
