The internet never ceases to amaze me, there will be people that come on here and tell you not to tell them how to spend their money...clearly they didn't listen to the video. you do a great job of explaining why buying FC points is not necesarry but also explain that it is still their decision if that's what they choose to do. You will also have people on here complaining that people shouldn't get addicted to this game if they are grown and are weak for doing so. This also seems very easy but in reality is not how the world works. Gambling is a real addiction just as so many adults get addicted to other things in life. This game hides the gambling very well. I appreciate this video as I am one of those people that got deeply addicted to the chase. I have been to Vegas twice in my life, never gambled once. I never thought gambling appealed to me. Well, when COVID hit and we couldn't get out and do anything I went deep into playing FIFA. At first, I didn't even now what FIFA points were. But I soon realized that my team wasn't any good and I felt the need to buy points to open packs. This was before I understood how to trade on the market. I became addicted to that feeling. Yes, EA didn't help make it any easier to quit, but I should have seen it sooner. I spent thousands of dollars over a two year span, damn near causing marrital issues and definitley causing financial issues. I needed help, and I came accross Nate's content. It completely changed the way that I approach the game and I didn't have to spend money any longer. It was liberating, and as he states, just feels better when you're successful. I have to also agree with a comment in this section, you don't need the best players to be good. Even with the most meta team I will never be Rank 1 in FUT champs. The moral is that you have to take a good look in the mirror. If you can spend 40$ a month on FIFA points and it makes you happy and enjoy the game, good for you being that disciplined and I hope you enjoy. But for a majority of people that spend, it can lead to a dangerous habbit. As far as FC in general, it takes so much time now to make coins and get packs that the grind is never ending and packing good cards seems damn near impossible. I haven't preordered the game for the first time in a long time and won't be playing for the first time since World Cup 94' (yes, I'm that old). With that train of though, you could also not do any SBCs or upgrade your team ever since there will be a new EA FC game every year... Actually, you dont need to even buy the game at all because there will be a new EA FC after that late game content. 🤣
was addicted to fifa points in fifa 23.. and even tho i was elite division top 20%, the hundreds of dollars spent was not worth it fc 25 will be my first year trying RTG! thanks for the content
If you’re going to waste money on the game, at least buy coins and not points . If you spend 20 euro for 200k you get 200k but if you spend 20 euro on packs you only get like 50k of stuff and half the time it’s untradeable.
Not the first days of the market, if you know how to trade, you spent some money on fc points and then x10 your coins by just trading them. Coins first weeks are more expensive
Now this topic is what I’m all about. I haven’t even preordered the game. This is the first time in 11 years since I’m not playing Ultimate Team and the first time since 1998 since I won’t be playing FIFA. Moving on and breaking free
FC 24 was my first full season of this and I am so glad I did not buy any FC points but I am addicted to the game free to play wise and I spent way too much time this year on this game and grinding the web app so I decided it was best for me to not get FC 25. I was so close to spending money at times but I grinded and I constantly told myself at the end of the season these have no value. There is sadly no collection feature that moves along. What really made me step away was the rage this game caused me like no other game before and I am in my 30s, games are supposed to be fun. The gameplay is so inconsistent and EA is focused on selling FC points more than fixing the game so next year will have all the same issues basically. I will admit I am just not that good at the game and Champs gets me so nervous. A match is just constant pressure and more times than not it goes the wrong way and I refuse to be a rat, I want to play a football game. Anyways, I appreciate all your videos Nate and towards the end I was watching daily.
im the same as you, played UT first time this Jan. my natural talent got me to div 4 and i couldnt push past, then i started watchng tons of YT vids on how to improve now an elite 900 sr player hopefully still improving. its addictive but for me worth it now that i can go 17-0 when i used to strugge to just qualify haha. also the better you get the less time you need to spend coz you can destroy with an average team
@@AsapMagzi I am glad you were able to improve. I watch a lot of videos too but something is just off with the gameplay for me personally. Plus I don't need that type of stress in my life. I hardly played champs and when I did it was just too much of a sweat fest. Sometimes the gameplay felt nice and responsive and other times my 90 plus pace player felt like he was a sloth versus lower pace players....just a lot of issues. I would ask what videos you watched and maybe that would help but yea I am generally a very calm person in life but not in fifa hahaha its wild

I stopped spending money at around January. What I would say is that at the end game stage I've ended up with exactly the same squad of players I'd have if I had continued to spend money. It's just not worth it. The prices of these things is the most disgusting thing about it - $100 is not a 'micro-transaction'. That is more than the cost of the actual game!
In the start of the game I had a decent team and was doing avrage. Thought of have a little fun so decided to played with my EVO team that was moastly mixed by Man Utd and Barca players. This was just under two months before TOTY. Player rate was behind the curve... but the playstyles sent them MILES ahead! Won moast of the games in that periode (stayed in div 5/6 by choice), but after TOTY there were not many EVO that could improve the team, so it fell behind. My Kobbie Mainoo 79 (1 PS+ (intercept) and 8 PS) was dominating the midfield, the regular Trickster made is so much fun. My Garnacho 84 with regular Finesse Shoot scored on close to all shoot inside the box. @@Mussty95 the real issue is the pack opening streams that show their follower's pack openings. They encourage people to buy points so their favorite streamer will show them. Hope we see less of that this year, especially after Auzio & Nick stopped & they're probably the biggest streamers who do this.

New player in 24. I foolishly caught the FC points bug in November and spent a few hundred chasing glory. How silly. Never won jack squat with the purchased packs. Here we are end of 24, never made it higher than Div 5, never won more than 8 in any champs, if I could even make it to WL which wasn't every week, and now have a team full of 99 rated, after grinding hundreds of hours, only to realize the numbers on the cards mean nothing. The rubber banding in this game is unreal, it's like @#$&ing Mario Kart ffs What even is this game? I should just wait until April-May when the game drops by $50, and I'll still pack/build the same team that took me triple the time/sweat/tears. Don't fall for the hype, and if you do, get out asap!!! Can't wait for UFL in Dec. It might actually be a football game. FC 24 certainly wasn't and 25 won't be, quite sadly.
The most important is the fact that this game it's turning into an untradeable machine. This year I stop buying cards on January, it's just so pointless, EA re-releasing cards 2 months after it originally came out, cards just heavily dropping in price etc.. At the end of the day I think the best way is maybe spend $100 at the beginning to have a cheap but meta team and then the rest of the game work with untradeables and SBC's but you don't need to spend those $100. EA it's giving you cards constantly throughout the game cycle so you don't even need to trade neither spend money. Buying FC points on the game it just a help for the first 2 months of the game cycle, after the third month every team gets slightly equal and you have wasted your money.
I’m gonna wait until it comes out for free before picking it up. No point in grinding for all these crazy players here to just use them for a week or two

Its not just the we hate FC points and EA are terrible etc. The enjoyment of making your coins and working your team from the bottom up is so much rewarding and satisfying to do rather than just spend monry to get it given to you... or not as the gambling pack luck maybe! Always played it as an RTG (as I think you should considering the cost of the game) and think you will enioy the game for longer with doing so. Your first gold team, your first 100k made in trading is usually the most enjoyable
The worst thing is that if you dont live in the us, you live in lets say Poland, where 4 of their currency equals 1 dollar, the prices dont get adjusted but just exchanged currency. If the average salary in Poland is 5 times lower, but the prices of every day items are 5 times cheaper, then the points or video games arent gonna be 5 times cheaper. Theyre gonna be the usa price but just with exchanged currency. If the game itself costs 80 dollars in the us, its gonna cost about 320 if you live in Poland. I hope you understand

In FC24 i spent over 2000 bucks on the game till january and i hadnt realized it until i checked. It was always 50 more is fine until it wasnt. This year its gonna be my first rtg so I wish everybody good luck and hopefully we can all enjoy the game
I was spending a lot on FC points and store, especially during TOTY, cause I couldn't pack a TOTY from my saved up packs, and I didn't pack any from the store packs either. Everything you say in this vid is true, I felt really bad when I got nothing and I spent like 40 dollars on a pack. I stopped buying FC pts after the Ligue 1 champs rewards fiasco, and I feel much better, and I don't have the urge to spend my hard earned money on Fc pts anymore
Back in fifa 15 I actually didn’t mind spending money on fifa points because you would actually get a good coin return but now the pack weight is so low unless you’re really lucky you get nothing!

Back in fifa 16 I spent 1000s over the year, I was young and dumb as fk , didn’t realise my problem until I seen my bank statement and over a few months it was a ridiculous amount , I wasn’t even 18 at the time and looking back I’m lucky I stopped when I did
It's true, that bad felling when you buy packs, get nothing then buy more , it's horrible. I would then get angry on the game which made me stop playing last year, il just use the 4600 pre order points and that's it, easier said than done but il try.
Nate, totally agree, love your integrity in an area that often lacks. I would not give EA one more cent than needed, so I’m getting standard edition, and then free the whole year. Trading on this game is one of the funnest things you can do. Given the state of servers in smaller player base countries like Australia, honestly it is beyond farcical. Why EA cannot meet the minimum standard of most consumer accords, it really beggars belief. Other big online games can do it, Fortnite, COD! Apex, even the old H1Z1 there is no excuse why the servers are this bad for gameplay. Love the content and your ability to state this truth while being a part of the creator network. Think of it this way: what is more gratifying? Winning the Prem as the owner of Leicester or winning the Prem as the owner of City? Leicester is like a full RTG grinding through champs. City is a P2W team. Which will give you more real fulfillment in winning matches?

Everyone just needs to see this as a 9 month card collecting game. And KNOW that the last 2 months you'll be able to get all the cards you havnt got through the first 7 months. Because that how the futties and rerelease part works, and it makes it so much easier. You see that R9 TOTY and think 'wow, i cant wait to try him later this year' rather than think ' wow ill never use him if i dont try to get him now'.
EA really need to make a gallery or something that year on year you dont completely LOSE all the cards you've collected... or make it that cards are upgradable so progressively year on year your cards progressively get worse so you dont lose the cards but newer/version of players become better... hope that makes sense - but yeah after starting with fc24 losing the whole club ive built the whole year feels souless...
If FC24 was notorious for pay to play, why do you think FC 25 will be any different. And why do you think FC 25 may be better than FC 24 when they always ban those who they think are cheating due to their coins amount. Or due to the market flipping. Think hard about the amount of money you will use in a game and how that money can be used for something better. EA doesn't care about the ppl. The RATS will use the same cheats and glitches. "Passion" for playing this game can only take you so far. Online competitive gameplay and the power curve moving too fast on a weekly basis will create frustration. This frustration will cause you to spend. The game is literally built to make you do microtransactions.
Great video, I used to spend money. Not a lot but enough a month to make me regret. I’ve been FTP this year. Much more fun. And still got a 99 rated team and 2 million coins.
I always buy Fifa points when it comes out. I earn a good salary and don't drink, don't smoke, don't spend money on expensive clothes or cars etc. My tastes are very modest and I only play EA FC very casually. But I really enjoy having loads of packs to open on day 1 and then trade all year as I never earn good enough packs to pack decent players. I have loads in the bank so see no issue in me treating myself to 18k FP once per year on something I really enjoy doing.
Every time the new game is out i tell myself i wont spend and buy points but always give in. Its that feeling you get when you pack someone good i chase but everytime im disappointed by getting noone… I wish i knew how to trade and knew what to look for when trading but just dont know where and how to get started. Great points mate, I am one of the guys who has spent money on this game but i am not spending one more dollar on fc points! Another reason that I found in FC24 is that even if you spend the money and pack something good, the power curve moves so fast with playstyles etc now that you really dont get any value out of packing good cards anymore, unless it is the unpackable tier as they fall behind so fast.
The problem with this game is the way people decide to run their club. The self imposed rules that you have to be untradable, first owner, etc will always lead you to hate the game some how, some way. But that's on you and you need to live with the results. Everyone who wants the best rewards should be buying the best players week in and week out. This goes for Elite players to div 10 because we all know using the meta players gives you an advantage. So learn the market to make coins and use those coins to buy the best squad you can. NO FC points or coin buying.
7M coins left without trading, div 1, I never used a meta team.I just grab the rewards with coins in it, and don't play WL that much. I never spent coins on top players because you can get a cheaper player that does the job. I prefer players with specific playstyle+ so I don't buy top players who don't have it.
The other thing with spending money on this game is, EA respond to how people play and interact with this game. The more people spend, the worse it will get. The more times people spend money on FP Points or Evos, the more EA are going to target those areas. If they see that a certain tactic they use promotes people spending money, they'll find new ways to make you think you have to spend to get them, raise prices for certain in-game items, or format the game more towards FP spending to get that bag. Basically, the more people spend on microtransactions, the worse EA will make it for F2P options.

I agree on the general sentiment of the video, Last year due to evolutions was the first year I´ve actually spend money on the game as I felt that was somewhat less so to speak 'gambling' that will be my only reasoning to load up fifa points again this year. I'll once put 18.500 fifa points on the game and hoping it will atleast lead me to november/december with evolutions. But I refuse to spend money on packs. That's just not the way to go about it. With all the type of upgrade packs players are so easy to come by, alot of the top tier meta players aren't even a whole lot better then the players just below that.
Even spending real money on evolutions is literally throwing money away, it is the exact same as buying points for packs, you are still giving money to ea for a few pixels running around on a screen. You are literally benefiting nothing from it apart from making ea even richer.

But atleast with evo's you know what you are getting when you decide to buy it. That makes a difference for me. I don't mind EA getting richer if I'm having enjoyment along the way. They are a business after all.
That's difficult to do for a casual player like myself. I don't have time to grind or do endless trading which I don't have enough coins to invest in the first place. If you can't get on for 15 hours minimum per week you are going to need money to enjoy the game

Agreed buying coins for years from Supercoinsy store and this is much better than points also if you wanna get some day1 when it drops check their site as they will be ready like each year release. Never had to look for another site for years since i found them.

If you buy the biggest option 5 times, that's enough for you to afford the new PS5 Pro & have some money left. All of this for a few cards that will become obsolete less than a year after you buy them.
I loaded up some money (around 25 bucks) after my birthday party at the start of fc 24 I packed Cristiano Ronaldo and felt some joy as he is one of my favourite players but after a couple of weeks he plummeted in price and was way past the power curve. I haven’t spent FC points since and I am not planning on doing so again on FC 25.
F23 was my best team ever. I stopped doing gamble packs (icon picks), they always turn out bad. Saved my fodder, only did great value sbcs. Had enough to do potm mbappe.
The game play style and meta is so bad at elite division, it doesn’t even warrant chasing op big cards anymore. With relegation playing in the lower divisions will be a more fun experience.
Hi Nate you have helped me so much over the last few years . I love the grind last year I made well over 15 million. I was the same b4 I always put way to much money in like 4 grand in a year it’s mad. Now I feel more rewarding when I play for free I would not give that scum a penny now they don’t deserve it. They way fc24 was run I think the game should be free the amount off mistakes are mind blowing I just hope everyone takes note

I literally spent £100 on fc24. I was packing crap until I spent the money and literally packed trailblazer mbappe in 10 coin pack and then centurion rashford straight after. And guess what that is still the best two players a packed throughout the whole game 😂

Yes, EA didn't help make it any easier to quit, but I should have seen it sooner.
I spent thousands of dollars over a two year span, damn near causing marrital issues and definitley causing financial issues. I needed help, and I came accross Nate's content. It completely changed the way that I approach the game and I didn't have to spend money any longer. It was liberating, and as he states, just feels better when you're successful. I have to also agree with a comment in this section, you don't need the best players to be good. Even with the most meta team I will never be Rank 1 in FUT champs.
The moral is that you have to take a good look in the mirror. If you can spend 40$ a month on FIFA points and it makes you happy and enjoy the game, good for you being that disciplined and I hope you enjoy. But for a majority of people that spend, it can lead to a dangerous habbit.
As far as FC in general, it takes so much time now to make coins and get packs that the grind is never ending and packing good cards seems damn near impossible. I haven't preordered the game for the first time in a long time and won't be playing for the first time since World Cup 94' (yes, I'm that old). Will stil enjoy watching the content but will find another football game to enjoy for free and card collect for free.

With that train of though, you could also not do any SBCs or upgrade your team ever since there will be a new EA FC game every year... Actually, you dont need to even buy the game at all because there will be a new EA FC after that late game content. 🤣

If you spend 20 euro for 200k you get 200k but if you spend 20 euro on packs you only get like 50k of stuff and half the time it’s untradeable.
Not the first days of the market, if you know how to trade, you spent some money on fc points and then x10 your coins by just trading them. Coins first weeks are more expensive
you know you get banned for it.

FC 24 was my first full season of this and I am so glad I did not buy any FC points but I am addicted to the game free to play wise and I spent way too much time this year on this game and grinding the web app so I decided it was best for me to not get FC 25. I was so close to spending money at times but I grinded and I constantly told myself at the end of the season these have no value. There is sadly no collection feature that moves along. What really made me step away was the rage this game caused me like no other game before and I am in my 30s, games are supposed to be fun. The gameplay is so inconsistent and EA is focused on selling FC points more than fixing the game so next year will have all the same issues basically. I will admit I am just not that good at the game and Champs gets me so nervous. A match is just constant pressure and more times than not it goes the wrong way and I refuse to be a rat, I want to play a football game. Anyways, I appreciate all your videos Nate and towards the end I was watching daily.
im the same as you, played UT first time this Jan. my natural talent got me to div 4 and i couldnt push past, then i started watchng tons of YT vids on how to improve now an elite 900 sr player hopefully still improving. its addictive but for me worth it now that i can go 17-0 when i used to strugge to just qualify haha. also the better you get the less time you need to spend coz you can destroy with an average team
@@AsapMagzi I am glad you were able to improve. I watch a lot of videos too but something is just off with the gameplay for me personally. Plus I don't need that type of stress in my life. I hardly played champs and when I did it was just too much of a sweat fest. Sometimes the gameplay felt nice and responsive and other times my 90 plus pace player felt like he was a sloth versus lower pace players....just a lot of issues. I would ask what videos you watched and maybe that would help but yea I am generally a very calm person in life but not in fifa hahaha its wild

I stopped spending money at around January. What I would say is that at the end game stage I've ended up with exactly the same squad of players I'd have if I had continued to spend money. It's just not worth it. The prices of these things is the most disgusting thing about it - $100 is not a 'micro-transaction'. That is more than the cost of the actual game!
In the start of the game I had a decent team and was doing avrage. Thought of have a little fun so decided to played with my EVO team that was moastly mixed by Man Utd and Barca players. This was just under two months before TOTY. Player rate was behind the curve... but the playstyles sent them MILES ahead! Won moast of the games in that periode (stayed in div 5/6 by choice), but after TOTY there were not many EVO that could improve the team, so it fell behind.
My Kobbie Mainoo 79 (1 PS+ (intercept) and 8 PS) was dominating the midfield, the regular Trickster made is so much fun. My Garnacho 84 with regular Finesse Shoot scored on close to all shoot inside the box.

New player in 24. I foolishly caught the FC points bug in November and spent a few hundred chasing glory. How silly. Never won jack squat with the purchased packs. Here we are end of 24, never made it higher than Div 5, never won more than 8 in any champs, if I could even make it to WL which wasn't every week, and now have a team full of 99 rated, after grinding hundreds of hours, only to realize the numbers on the cards mean nothing. The rubber banding in this game is unreal, it's like @#$&ing Mario Kart ffs What even is this game? I should just wait until April-May when the game drops by $50, and I'll still pack/build the same team that took me triple the time/sweat/tears. Don't fall for the hype, and if you do, get out asap!!! Can't wait for UFL in Dec. It might actually be a football game. FC 24 certainly wasn't and 25 won't be, quite sadly.
The most important is the fact that this game it's turning into an untradeable machine. This year I stop buying cards on January, it's just so pointless, EA re-releasing cards 2 months after it originally came out, cards just heavily dropping in price etc.. At the end of the day I think the best way is maybe spend $100 at the beginning to have a cheap but meta team and then the rest of the game work with untradeables and SBC's but you don't need to spend those $100.
EA it's giving you cards constantly throughout the game cycle so you don't even need to trade neither spend money. Buying FC points on the game it just a help for the first 2 months of the game cycle, after the third month every team gets slightly equal and you have wasted your money.

Its not just the we hate FC points and EA are terrible etc. The enjoyment of making your coins and working your team from the bottom up is so much rewarding and satisfying to do rather than just spend monry to get it given to you... or not as the gambling pack luck maybe! Always played it as an RTG (as I think you should considering the cost of the game) and think you will enioy the game for longer with doing so. Your first gold team, your first 100k made in trading is usually the most enjoyable
The worst thing is that if you dont live in the us, you live in lets say Poland, where 4 of their currency equals 1 dollar, the prices dont get adjusted but just exchanged currency. If the average salary in Poland is 5 times lower, but the prices of every day items are 5 times cheaper, then the points or video games arent gonna be 5 times cheaper. Theyre gonna be the usa price but just with exchanged currency. If the game itself costs 80 dollars in the us, its gonna cost about 320 if you live in Poland. I hope you understand

In FC24 i spent over 2000 bucks on the game till january and i hadnt realized it until i checked. It was always 50 more is fine until it wasnt. This year its gonna be my first rtg so I wish everybody good luck and hopefully we can all enjoy the game
I was spending a lot on FC points and store, especially during TOTY, cause I couldn't pack a TOTY from my saved up packs, and I didn't pack any from the store packs either. Everything you say in this vid is true, I felt really bad when I got nothing and I spent like 40 dollars on a pack. I stopped buying FC pts after the Ligue 1 champs rewards fiasco, and I feel much better, and I don't have the urge to spend my hard earned money on Fc pts anymore
Back in fifa 15 I actually didn’t mind spending money on fifa points because you would actually get a good coin return but now the pack weight is so low unless you’re really lucky you get nothing!

It's true, that bad felling when you buy packs, get nothing then buy more , it's horrible. I would then get angry on the game which made me stop playing last year, il just use the 4600 pre order points and that's it, easier said than done but il try.
Nate, totally agree, love your integrity in an area that often lacks. I would not give EA one more cent than needed, so I’m getting standard edition, and then free the whole year. Trading on this game is one of the funnest things you can do. Given the state of servers in smaller player base countries like Australia, honestly it is beyond farcical. Why EA cannot meet the minimum standard of most consumer accords, it really beggars belief. Other big online games can do it, Fortnite, COD! Apex, even the old H1Z1 there is no excuse why the servers are this bad for gameplay. Love the content and your ability to state this truth while being a part of the creator network. Think of it this way: what is more gratifying? Winning the Prem as the owner of Leicester or winning the Prem as the owner of City? Leicester is like a full RTG grinding through champs. City is a P2W team. Which will give you more real fulfillment in winning matches?

Everyone just needs to see this as a 9 month card collecting game. And KNOW that the last 2 months you'll be able to get all the cards you havnt got through the first 7 months. Because that how the futties and rerelease part works, and it makes it so much easier. You see that R9 TOTY and think 'wow, i cant wait to try him later this year' rather than think ' wow ill never use him if i dont try to get him now'.
EA really need to make a gallery or something that year on year you dont completely LOSE all the cards you've collected... or make it that cards are upgradable so progressively year on year your cards progressively get worse so you dont lose the cards but newer/version of players become better... hope that makes sense - but yeah after starting with fc24 losing the whole club ive built the whole year feels souless...
If FC24 was notorious for pay to play, why do you think FC 25 will be any different. And why do you think FC 25 may be better than FC 24 when they always ban those who they think are cheating due to their coins amount. Or due to the market flipping. Think hard about the amount of money you will use in a game and how that money can be used for something better. EA doesn't care about the ppl. The RATS will use the same cheats and glitches. "Passion" for playing this game can only take you so far. Online competitive gameplay and the power curve moving too fast on a weekly basis will create frustration.
This frustration will cause you to spend. The game is literally built to make you do microtransactions.

I always buy Fifa points when it comes out. I earn a good salary and don't drink, don't smoke, don't spend money on expensive clothes or cars etc. My tastes are very modest and I only play EA FC very casually. But I really enjoy having loads of packs to open on day 1 and then trade all year as I never earn good enough packs to pack decent players.
I have loads in the bank so see no issue in me treating myself to 18k FP once per year on something I really enjoy doing.

Great points mate, I am one of the guys who has spent money on this game but i am not spending one more dollar on fc points!
Another reason that I found in FC24 is that even if you spend the money and pack something good, the power curve moves so fast with playstyles etc now that you really dont get any value out of packing good cards anymore, unless it is the unpackable tier as they fall behind so fast.
The problem with this game is the way people decide to run their club. The self imposed rules that you have to be untradable, first owner, etc will always lead you to hate the game some how, some way. But that's on you and you need to live with the results. Everyone who wants the best rewards should be buying the best players week in and week out. This goes for Elite players to div 10 because we all know using the meta players gives you an advantage. So learn the market to make coins and use those coins to buy the best squad you can. NO FC points or coin buying.
7M coins left without trading, div 1, I never used a meta team.I just grab the rewards with coins in it, and don't play WL that much. I never spent coins on top players because you can get a cheaper player that does the job. I prefer players with specific playstyle+ so I don't buy top players who don't have it.
The other thing with spending money on this game is, EA respond to how people play and interact with this game. The more people spend, the worse it will get. The more times people spend money on FP Points or Evos, the more EA are going to target those areas. If they see that a certain tactic they use promotes people spending money, they'll find new ways to make you think you have to spend to get them, raise prices for certain in-game items, or format the game more towards FP spending to get that bag. Basically, the more people spend on microtransactions, the worse EA will make it for F2P options.

I agree on the general sentiment of the video, Last year due to evolutions was the first year I´ve actually spend money on the game as I felt that was somewhat less so to speak 'gambling' that will be my only reasoning to load up fifa points again this year. I'll once put 18.500 fifa points on the game and hoping it will atleast lead me to november/december with evolutions. But I refuse to spend money on packs. That's just not the way to go about it. With all the type of upgrade packs players are so easy to come by, alot of the top tier meta players aren't even a whole lot better then the players just below that.
Even spending real money on evolutions is literally throwing money away, it is the exact same as buying points for packs, you are still giving money to ea for a few pixels running around on a screen. You are literally benefiting nothing from it apart from making ea even richer.

But atleast with evo's you know what you are getting when you decide to buy it. That makes a difference for me. I don't mind EA getting richer if I'm having enjoyment along the way. They are a business after all.

That's difficult to do for a casual player like myself. I don't have time to grind or do endless trading which I don't have enough coins to invest in the first place. If you can't get on for 15 hours minimum per week you are going to need money to enjoy the game

I have the means to spend on this game but I haven’t bought points since FIFA 19 and the game is so much more rewarding to grind.
If you buy the biggest option 5 times, that's enough for you to afford the new PS5 Pro & have some money left. All of this for a few cards that will become obsolete less than a year after you buy them.
I loaded up some money (around 25 bucks) after my birthday party at the start of fc 24 I packed Cristiano Ronaldo and felt some joy as he is one of my favourite players but after a couple of weeks he plummeted in price and was way past the power curve. I haven’t spent FC points since and I am not planning on doing so again on FC 25.
F23 was my best team ever. I stopped doing gamble packs (icon picks), they always turn out bad. Saved my fodder, only did great value sbcs. Had enough to do potm mbappe.
The game play style and meta is so bad at elite division, it doesn’t even warrant chasing op big cards anymore. With relegation playing in the lower divisions will be a more fun experience.

I was the same b4 I always put way to much money in like 4 grand in a year it’s mad. Now I feel more rewarding when I play for free I would not give that scum a penny now they don’t deserve it. Why do you always need to clarify "I'm not telling you how to spend your money"... if someone is spending $1000s on this game, not only does it ruin the experience for anyone that comes up against them in rivals, but it doesn't take a financial advisor to know they should be spending their money differently. If you are one of these players, I encourage you to reach out for gambling addiction support, there are free services for this all over the world. EA doesn't deserve a solitary cent from you or anyone for how they have destroyed the FIFA experience.
I wouldn’t say it’s a gambling addiction, I’ve loaded up 200k points for the start of the game I won’t load up another penny, I work full time. I see it as a hobby and something I enjoy, I will also be using it to make content

Would love to see the game without all those untradeables again ;p Game is fun in the beginning but there is way to many promo's so you have to keep upgrading like crazy and to end up with all 99 rated players these days . never saw so many 99 players like last year . i quit playing like in december lol . and then last month to get a bit hype for the new 1 haha

Fc points should be earnable in the new season pass. If the season pass cost 1400 fp then yiu should get at least 1000 back at from completing the pass
