Sounds as glorious as my APPJ PA1501A mini tube amplifier running about 3.5 watts! Most people don't understand that running less powerful small tube amplifiers with a pair of efficient transducers (speakers) can still give you loud, breathtaking high-end sound with that unique 'sweet' tube midrange!
Fascinating, I was always a transistor addict. The tubes are beautiful. Great history lesson. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together. I used to run a watt meter on my stereo, and yes one watt is a lot louder than most people realize.
still a brilliant piece of music on me little tiny computer speakers but i have a cd copy i play ...my imagination paints the pictures of the battle and retreat.. great video rosie... cheers from uk
Great. Watching tubes in the back of the stereo was my favorite pastime as a toddler in the early seventies. Please remake all dark with no captions or maybe in red.
This is like vinyl record and mp3 or flac file, when you playing vinyl you can look at it, you can see the groves, you see music in grooves, and you can listen to very high quality audio, when you playing mp3, you can't see it, you can't see music, you need to hear the same audio every time, mp3 is compresed format, vinyl sounds different every time because it is analog. When you have Tube Amp or Pre Amp you can see tubes warm up, you can listen to warm, deep and smooth sound. Transistor based amp can't give you the same quality and fun
The person who runs RUclips doesn't like people playing copyrighted music but this might be alright, 30 miles from where I live there is a company called Chronus HIFI systems that only make tube based systems based on Russian tubes some having made in the CCCP
Just to be precise... More men died and deserted en route to Moscow than coming back and Wellington did not win on his own at Waterloo, it was an alliance of several armies amongst which the Prussians etc. Audio is audio, "history" is history.... This being said the 1812 overture is indeed a great piece of music.
do you think I should hear how your tube amp sounds, when you record it with some crappy microphone, compress it to a video, upload to youtube, youtube again compresses it, tthheennn it gets to to my computer where my soundcard outputs it to my amplifier and to my speakers finally :D listen to ~15:45 is this distortion what you heard there, I doubt that ... your microphone already ruined it propably before it even got compressed and ... and..
Is there a circuit board inside that tiny cabinet or is it all constructed point-to-point is there a schematic available I would like to build one of those it would make a neat little kit project

That's amazing. I like the 2 volume controls opposed to a balance control.I bet it sounds as sweet as honey.
Grand music, and great sound from that amplifier.
Never knew they gave off that blue light.
Tfs!
What a great light show and sound! Too much fun! TY! :)
Light, Heat, Music. Three of life's essentials.

Classical music is always the best to test audio equipment
I enjoyed looking at the tubes!

Pretty cool, but a great deal of clipping,so the distortion is high. Good example of why head room is important to keep away from the clip.
Rosie, you are well educated,Great knowledge

Merci. I love tube sound. But i think your is saturated at high passage.
That's cool.. what's the preamp, source, and speaker selection? Must be very efficient speakers.
