I have to go threw my stash lay hand on everything re organise and my nutcracker solder in there as well are needing dusted and but up to me I love being amongst the guy dose that count. An idea I have is group yarn by projects, variegated with solid so it easy to be like inspired. And not going in and stand there what do I do. The same thing I did when my son said Tornado comming go to the basement I stood there with Christine and now what do I do so I sat on the chair and crochet. 💋💋💜💜🐕stay safe and huge hugs my dear friend
I am overwhelmed with the beauty and amount of yarn you have. My stash is smaller and for 6 months I am not buying yarn to try and use some of what I have. I hope your yarn brings you and your viewers joy.
Beautiful room. Looks like a shop!! Yarn is so expensive here that all that yarn would be worth thousands 😂 I've been shopping in my stash lately. It feels great to see it worked up into something useable ❤
Ginger, I love how you have your yarn collection organized by colors. I only wish I had half that much. It would make it easier when I have people requesting blankets made from certain colors, that I don't have. I can make something for myself from whatever I have, just mix & match. I don't have a storage problem, I wish I did.
I love it! I was wondering if the goal is to have one yarn room? Or two? If you could discuss next time. I don’t remember if you said in another video. My yarn is in clear bins in a closet . Very small stash, been using stash and trying not to buy.
I can only work on 1 or 2 Wips at a time so I can get them completed or it would just drive me crazy knowing I had containers filled with unfinished works of art! Thank you for sharing! You are well organized!!
You should let us pick your next WIP to finish, we could do one a week or how ever often you like to see how many we can help you get finished for the year! Choose 5 0r 6 to choose from and let us vote!
I organized my yarn room 2 yrs ago .Well it’s still kind a organized but now l have supplies and merchandise from my other businesses. So l do have to reorganize to make room for the other stuff . I have 2 book shelves full of yarn and use 31 bags to organize the yarn by color . I have several of the plastic wheel stackable bins with more of my cotton yarn and Velcro, sicissors and everything else . I have two cups for my crochet hooks and one for knitting needles and a case for my furl oddessy /streamline hooks.. l still have books from when l was in school l need to get rid of some lm retired lol. So l guess we all have several wipes in the making l counted and have about 8 things to complete. Til next time ❤❤❤❤
I am sitting here Laughing at your yarn room. I used to look like your room almost. Now I have all my yarn in totes due to a broken water pipe. Now have 6 totes. 😆
You are officially worse for wips than I! (Or better) 🤣 I have two border collies and my wips have dog/people hair too. I bought several clothes storage bags, with a clear window, for some of my yarn. I have yarn in soft side clothes baskets, hanging in shoe caddies on the backs of closet and “sitting room” doors and the front side of closet door also. I used to have it all out in the open, but this keeps it cleaner. Most yarn is in plastic set of cubbies, with doors, that I bought off Amazon. There’s a daybed in this room and presently, has some on it. Not much, but I’m still backed up from needing to get Christmas things put away. 🤦♀️ Several blankets that I’ve been working on are C2C also. I’ve been crocheting a full skein of yarn, putting it away, and making a triangle out of the next skein. This is because I love the edge of the working yarn on C2C. After 4 equal triangles, I stitch them together so that the working edge is forming the outside of the blanket. I know this is long, but you asked and I like to share. 😍
Wow, that’s a lot of yarn! I’m thinking I may get some of those storage bags that vacuum flat for my remnants to be used for scrap blankets. At least they’d stack easier and stay clean. You have me beat on WIP’s!
Love your yarn room! I just want to visit and sit in there! 😆 Most of my yarn is organized in clear storage boxes. I started a small yarn wall in my bedroom! Love it! You inspired me with your wall! 🎉🎉 Thanks for the tour!
I'm moving and will have a 9x11 room for my yarn I have over OVER 100 totes kinda freaking out...don't know how I'm going to organize all my yarn..I have been collecting way to much and I don't know if I want to put it in open areas because of dust collection? I usually put mine in the those clear deal reusable bags..I'm praying that I will be able to get all of the yarn on the truck when I move..I'm moving a whole house and the yarn is going on last 😳..I have been shipping yarn to my dear friend here on RUclips but I don't think it's enough..I told my son I'm wlling to leave some older furniture behind if needed.. Pretty sure I have lost my mind 🥴
I have very little room to store so my organization consists of displaying or giving away completed projects. I then has a spot just for unfinished projects where it is easy for me to grab them and finish them up so they can be moved to the completed section. This leaves me with the most space to orangize my yarn.
Hey Ginger Love your yarn room organized yarn rooms are conflicting ideas or an oxymoron I have decided to use ralvery yarn stash to keep track of what I own I’m not buying any more yarn until I’m done I’m half way through and I have discovered 50 skeins of yarn from projects I have completed 20 skeins I will never use because I don’t like them I have enough yarn to last for at least 10 years ok maybe 15 I really love yarn So I’m not good at giving yarn advice
You have so much yarn. Love it. My yarn room is a total disaster...but I think I might do a before and after yarn room tour videos. If I'm feeling brave enough. Yikes. 🤣😊
❤ love your Tour de France kitties! My biggest struggle is keeping my wips organized. I keep them in a whiskey barrel but then forget about them. Also on rolling carts so they’re visible, but too cluttery.
Loved your tour Ginger! ❤️ I get so inspired by your organization. I have a room but it's dedicated to many hobbies. I wish I had one room for each hobby!
I am thinking that you do not have a yarn room, rather, you have a yarn shop! But so beautiful... Just say'n... WIP it up and donate to your favorite charity... get 'er done and I will send you a Somebunny 🥕 🥕 🥕
Too many WIPS. They look like would be great gifts when done. I try not to have more than 3 WIPS at one time. I am currently trying to work through most of my yarn, even scraps are getting used. You have beautiful yarns. Love the Cat blanket. Good luck.
Would be too much yarn and too much $$$ sitting idle for me. I like to buy good values but get the yarn worked up before investing too much $$$ in more . That ensures I manage prudently and people get gifts etc before it all gets overwhelming.
Same. In a way, to have all those beautiful yarns and not working them would look like a waste to me, and the older I get, the less tolerance I have for waste. Also, I can't work well with all the "forgotten" materials watching (judging?) me, if I make sense. So I have to set some limits. And despite all this, I have a HUGE stash waiting to be crocheted: the principal lines of work in my hometown are textile-related, so a lot of people I know happens to have yarn/tricot threads laying around that they periodically give to me "so you can make it into something pretty"... Every other year I declutter, use what I can and re-gift what I can't.
I’ve been doing a wall hanging for stitch markers from Butterfly dreamz crochet and more channel. I’m planning on putting hooks, needles for weaving, pen, maybe clip a small note pad, stitch markers, etc on it. It would make a nice gift for new crocheter or for me a project I’m working on, so I can find my hook and needle. Idk but I like it because I can see it. Check it out, everyone is different and I just don’t think yarn is completely organizable 😂
All I can imagine is that if you had a bug infestation, there would be dead bugs inside all your skeins, cakes, and WIPs. I hate bugs, so that’s really my *only* motivation to not do this.
I don't understand the point. That's a RABID amount of yarn that you will never use all of. It's a blatant disguising waste of money and a pointless waste of your time shopping for it. You have more yarn than a LYS. more than Michaels and equal to a friggin Joanns. When a person has an addiction it should be addressed. Not catered too and spurred on by others (yes you commenters) How do you justify this to yourself? I'm not impressed. You have my sympathy.
Oh I love it so beautiful my Dream yarn room
Thank-you, Jen! 🥰

CONGRATS on going over 10K!!!!
Thank you!!Thank-you Vicki!!!🥰🥰🥰
I love your yarn room! I think it's perfect even with the unfinished projects in the way lol. That room is life....even plants know it!
Love the black and white!
I am overwhelmed with the beauty and amount of yarn you have. My stash is smaller and for 6 months I am not buying yarn to try and use some of what I have. I hope your yarn brings you and your viewers joy.
I wish I had a room for yarn it is so pretty to look at all of mine are in totes and I can't see any of it love the cat blanket

You could use stick up lights in the closet. They can illuminate a stash.
Wow she has way more yarns then me cool I love to see people collecting more yarns
Omg someone worse than me! I love it!!
Ginger you have a lot of WIP's!
Lol… no kidding!!🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤪🤣

Maybe try a center table

What a lovely colourful yarn room. 🙂
OMG that cat blanket! You must have so much fun shopping your stash! My struggle is I don’t have a dedicated yarn space.
This is a treasure room. 😊 I love your mosaic blanket. I will enjoy watching more of the journey.
I am sitting here Laughing at your yarn room. I used to look like your room almost. Now I have all my yarn in totes due to a broken water pipe. Now have 6 totes. 😆

Love your yarn room Like you I organize by color and some are by type. Ice has it's own shelves
I wish you told us what every yarn was. I'm a newbie and was curious about all those giant skeins.
Love your yarn room! I just want to visit and sit in there! 😆 Most of my yarn is organized in clear storage boxes. I started a small yarn wall in my bedroom! Love it! You inspired me with your wall! 🎉🎉 Thanks for the tour!
Omg! You're loaded! One can never have too much yarn!
Beautiful blanket!!!
It’s nice to see all your yarn. Mine is all in Totes in the basement and it’s harder for me to organize but it is organized
I'm moving and will have a 9x11 room for my yarn I have over OVER 100 totes kinda freaking out...don't know how I'm going to organize all my yarn..I have been collecting way to much and I don't know if I want to put it in open areas because of dust collection? I love your yarn room! I am jealous. Love the cat and scrap blankets
I can't wait until we get our room painted and organized so we can show you.
I thought I had a big stash! Sable.
So loved seeing around your yarn space , I just want to dive into it
Wow you need to shop your stash for sure. I wish I had just a fraction of the space for storage.
Hey Ginger
Love your yarn room
organized yarn rooms are conflicting ideas or an oxymoron

I really love yarn
So I’m not good at giving yarn advice
WoW! 🤩😍
🌸🌷🌹♥️🥰
OMG the cat blanket looks super cute, you gave me a new idea :)
Yay!! I am so glad to help!!🤩🥰
You have so much yarn. Love it. My yarn room is a total disaster...but I think I might do a before and after yarn room tour videos. If I'm feeling brave enough. Yikes. 🤣😊
Hi, Ginger! Your yarn room is so well organized. Should I organize mine by yarn color? I'm redoing mine too
I organize my yarn by weight. I can then see what I have for project and what I need without digging through it all.
❤ love your Tour de France kitties! My biggest struggle is keeping my wips organized. I keep them in a whiskey barrel but then forget about them. Also on rolling carts so they’re visible, but too cluttery.
O my God!
Loved your tour Ginger! ❤️ I get so inspired by your organization. I have a room but it's dedicated to many hobbies. I wish I had one room for each hobby!
All those wips would be so anxiety producing. And I thought I had a lot of yarn! 😂
🤩
Just like a yarn shop rather than a yarn room😅
I am trying to build a stockpile (of yarn) but it’s SO expensive! Where do you get yarn? Do you buy retail (on sale) or do you have a wholesaler?
Do you kno how many balls of yarn you have ? Fab vid
I love your yarn room, and your plants! I have to keep all my yarn stored in totes due to having 3 cats, so I don't get a pretty display.
Good luck.
Hi. Wish I had tips but I too need to organize my yarn room.
Will you be donating some of those blankets?
You need to lower the number of wips and then you will have so much more space.
I love love love the cat blanket❤❤❤ !!!! Where can I get the pattern please?!?
Yeow...... maybe a little much lol
Would be too much yarn and too much $$$ sitting idle for me. I like to buy good values but get the yarn worked up before investing too much $$$ in more . That ensures I manage prudently and people get gifts etc before it all gets overwhelming.

Every other year I declutter, use what I can and re-gift what I can't.
I am to OCD. I buy yarn on sale to have 3 afghans at a time to make.
I’ve been doing a wall hanging for stitch markers from Butterfly dreamz crochet and more channel. I’m planning on putting hooks, needles for weaving, pen, maybe clip a small note pad, stitch markers, etc on it. I got a storage init
All I can imagine is that if you had a bug infestation, there would be dead bugs inside all your skeins, cakes, and WIPs. I hate bugs, so that’s really my *only* motivation to not do this.
Ha!! Like this scene in 1982 Creepshow …. ruclips.net/video/7Xx1yBtzZO4/видео.htmlsi=32PeL-1PkjuKUgPf
🤔 hmmmm, you should get your hubby to build you some shelves.
Ginger I think you should change your name to Joanne lmao
Oh do you find your yarn gets dusty?
Weirdly enough, it doesn’t. I think it’s because I move out around so much. I’m like a bee in a beehive🤣
