THANK YOU! My husband bought an electric pressure cooker, but it came with poor directions. You made using it so simple, not just how to use it, but why it works the way it does. As I was watching, I started it up to make a recipe for basic shredded chicken and I wasn't surprised by the sounds and sights going on because you explained everything so well! I immediately liked this video and subscribed to your channel! Thank you again!!
Thank you so much. My mom just gave me one as a gift and I'm afraid to use it. Lol After watching your video I feel much better about using it now and can't wait to try it out. I have the Fissler one.
Nice demo, one can cook sweet potatoes in a microwave oven in around 10 minutes on high power, no waiting time for the pressure to drop and no waiting time for the pressure to build up, just 10 minutes and they're done.
I enjoyed watching your video and it was very helpful. You answered my first question right away, "Is liquid needed?" Got it. Now, how long do I cook the food? I have some beef stew meat I want to sear first and then cook. My instructions don't include how long to cook food items.
@@FoodChainTV Thank you! I should have read your response to a similar question first. I purchased a MOOSOO electric pressure cooker. It doesn't allow changing the time to cook meat. This is puzzling to me as more meat should take more time and less meat should take less time. But I've never used a pressure cooker so perhaps the rules are different. My beef did turn out yummy!
Thank you. I'm still a little skeptical but instead of cooking neat I think I'm going to start slow with sweet pot8like you showed. I had to get the one with all the buttons so I guess I'm going to be reading a bit😮
You would have to cook the rice and the beans separately. You cannot pressure cook them together. By the times beans cook, the rice would be obliterated.
I want to thank you for helping understand how to correctly use a pressure cooker. I feel more relax and the instruction in book was overwhelmed because it was pages long of confusion where you summarized it in a few minutes.
Yes, you can make bone broth in a pressure cooker. - Beef bone broth can be cooked on high for 2 hours. - Chicken bone broth for 45 minutes. - Add a little cow's feet or pig's feet in any bone broth for extra collagen. In both cases, add a little bit of apple cider vinegar to the water to get some of the calcium out of the bones.
Excellent and very clear video. Whatever questions I was having, I got answered :-) Now I can safely buy one good brand. Will see if you have also posted a video about cooking lamb meat
Hi Chef Cristian I'm using a stove top pressure cooker but I think I've been doing it wrong for years. I use the nr 2 setting on the pressure release valve and when the food is cooked I slowly push it back with a spoon to nr 1 and then to the end? Is this why I sometimes run out of liquid in my pot?
You want to use one setting for the entire cook. And if you're running out of liquid, you probably need to put more liquid in there to begin with. Remember that what cooks the food is the superheated liquid, so the food has to be covered in liquid in order to cook.
Mine came with a darkish pot like you one you used with sweet potatoes, and a silver pot. Is there a difference in which to use for different types of food?
The dark colored pot is a Teflon-coated pot. The Teflon will eventually break down. The other pot is polished stainless steel - it will remain in good condition much longer than the Teflon pot and is of higher quality.
You can experiment with less time on the pressure cooker. Or, just boil them in a regular pot while checking them frequently until your desired texture is reached. No need to use the pressure cooker.
The Cuisinart Pressure cooker cannot sous vide. If you want to properly sous-vide, you will need to buy a sous-vide. There are no pressure cookers that can properly control temperature like a sous-vide machine can.
I'm not coming to pressure properly. The steamer is set in the right place, but all the steam is coming out of the other side of the pressure setting. It's not working correctly now. It's only 2 years old.
An electric pressure cooker will have an indicator that the pot has come up to pressure. Consult your instruction manual. For most pots, the timer will start counting down. This is an indication that the pot has come up to pressure.

I'm going to have to get a PHD to learn how to operate the Fissler.. Honestly.. I had a fail cooking rice! one cup rice, one cup water.. 15 min.. and it never started counting down! Even though there was high pressure built up!
Hi there. It's 1 cup rice to TWO (2) Cups water. Also, cook the rice on high pressure for 5 minutes. Turn the unit off and let the pressure dissipate naturally. Perfect rice. And when in doubt, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
I don’t know how to set it on slow cook and it’s a bit frustrating because the actual instructions that it came with don’t really instruct you all that well.
I bought a pressure cooker and it camewith no instructions. Wild. Thank you

Thanks for this well done video. How would I pressure cook rice and beans together, starting with dry beans and dry rice?

How long to cook a corn silver side about 3kilos thankyou
Is there any point of letting the pressure out given thats it's the high pressure that fastens the cooking?
Works the way it is supposed to. Just Good
I didn't buy it,I was gifted it without instructions. Thank you for sharing 😂
Can they be used as a slow cooker too? That is the reason I bought an instant pot. But most videos are all about presure cooking.
An intant pot is a pressure cooker.
❤Thanks for sharing ideas... Informative... It helps me.... 😊
Your video is very well presented and very helpful. Thanks 👍🏻

How to gauge how much time is needed more or less, obviously depends on type I guess, but just an indication please? Thanks so much!
If you don't know how long to pressure cook a food, 1. Use a cookbook, 2. Consult an online recipe, 3. Use GOOGLE.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks for the video

Hi. I want to cook lentils just enough to use as a salad. Just cooked. I set the timer on ten minutes but it still comes out as a mush. Please help

Scusi chef, can the cuisinart sous vide? I want to get one if it can without having to get the water immersion stick.
