One of, if not my favourite film growing up. In fact, for 18 months when living in Malta as a child was my only English video cassette I had to watch. To this day I still know every word. Utter classic, love it.
I would love to see Police Academy return but in the same vein as they'd been made before. Things arent allowed to be funny anymore of fear of offending someone .Keep the humour as we know it and im all for it
Was a police officer in Southern California at the time the original movie came out. A group of us went to a theater and watched it and we thought it was a riot. The first two movies were good. It started going downhill after that. Personally, I don’t think a reboot would work. The concept of policing and society in general has changed too many people would get their feelings hurt just like you couldn’t make Mel Brooks, Blazing Saddles nowadays.
After the fourth it went south & i believe they lost the chance after mission to moscow, it sucked & to quote ron perlman: i am happy to bring the genre down.
You (or AI) is mispronouncing Lassard's last name. Also, it wasn't a movie error that made the number of weeks in the Academy change, it was the character of Lassard not knowing/forgetting how many there were.
CORRECTION NEEDED _ Robert Conrad was in Wrong is Right in 1982, In 1985 the movie he was in was Moving Vilations! Neal Isreal wrote Moving Violations along with Paul Boorstin and Pat Proft Charles McCarry and Richard Brooks wrote Wrong is Right
So, this is just someone reading off trivia from IMDB over footage of the movie, huh? You're clearly not an expert in the movie or maybe haven't even seen it, because you don't know how to pronounce "Lassard's" name. Also, why do you have Lassard constantly getting the length of training wrong down as a "goof" when it's CLEARLY a running joke!?
Thank you for posting this interesting and awesome in sight of this movie and wonderful cast of people I am really amazed on how this series has grown I am one of the few that got to see this develop from day one I seen things from each cast member the things they bring to the screen of the story of awesome members is just genuine can feel it you can just want to see this performance over and over and over again like a little kid trying to watch cartoons this was the adults cartoon Mr. Gutenberg really takes all the praise and I think most of that accomplishments of the stories and supporting all the actors from the first film Gutenberg is a magical person loves his family loves America pure American wonderful guy wish him and his family the best thank you for posting this video continue with your project and please everybody enjoy police academy all of them movies laughter love joy that is pure entertainment have a good day
4:10 Gut tenberg? That's not fair. He's gut a little bumb in the midsection but that's only because he had 'One in the oven. There was even an Arrow pointing to it.
ACADEMY HAIL FROM FINLAND 1979 BORN - I would LOVE to witness a reboot of this - if made with og atmosphere which is prob impossible in these times of 2024 or so - but ABSOLUT AMEN for idea
I also agree with you, plus I a 1979 baby, but the issue is I am ban from watching it by my family as I watch it so much that I know every single word in each film.
I feel one of the former cerdats ie Jones or Morhony, should come back but as the commission of the police academy and the chief of the police and start a new team of cerdats to take over them and this time put more money in to making it and make it more funny
I liked the original film, and the second one wasn't too terrible. Bailey was brilliant as the "man you love to hate". He had a much more likable character in The Closer and Major Crimes.
There were still mandatory disciplinary actions reasons that force someone to be expelled, but could not be overridden by anyone, this was what was used to get Mahoney expelled.
Who is the name of the guy wearing a white collar long sleeve shirt with a pair of khaki pants as he was walking along with the crowd and he looked the other way?
So ahead of its time, mocking DEI 40 years ago. But movies like this also helped perpetuate it, it made people think screw ups could be effective cops just because they're the good guys.
@@Movies_Inside_Out give me the time stamp. I watched it from beginning to end. Did I miss it? I saw a quarter second flash of it at the end. I hope that's not what you're talking about. It was one of the funniest scenes in the movie, and yet you spent more time on Blanks's haircut. WHY? I was a huge fan of that movie when it came out. I enjoyed your documentary. As a fan of that movie since it came out, I learned alot from your doc. So, where is the Blue Oyster Bar stuff???
I want to apologize for taking so long to respond, as I just saw your new comment.🙃 The Blue Oyster Bar is mentioned in the video at 11:28 🕥 in the “Filming Process” section.🎬 We do briefly mention this bar as an interesting fact, but we promise to give it more attention in the review of the next part.😀👌

Loved the police academy movies growing up, still love watching them over and over
😎👍

Hooks & Tackelberry are my FAVORITE Assignment Miami Beach is my FAVORITE

It doesn't actually look that old when watching it.
It's a shame but we live in a pssified society now. 💯 spot on.
@skylineXpert Ron Pearlman also starred in the blockbuster hit Island of Dr. Moreau.
Any Mel Brooks film made prior to 1985 couldn't be made today
Mahoney was a good guy. Even if he didn't like someone he always invited then to his parties at the blue oyster. 😂
I like that. That's funny right there. I don't care what they say.
I almost died with laughter watching police academy 1, it became one of my best movies of the 80's
Police Academy is all about the Village People dancing in the Blue Oyster Bar with El Bimbo playing in the background.
You (or AI) is mispronouncing Lassard's last name. Also, it wasn't a movie error that made the number of weeks in the Academy change, it was the character of Lassard not knowing/forgetting how many there were.

Yes I Kno moving violations better than my phone number I'm like u gotta be tripping
Kim Catralls biggest role was in Big Trouble in Little China. Can’t forget that
Mannequin

"this is just someone reading off trivia from IMDB"
Not even... it's AI reading IMDB
Sounds a little judgy.
"Chat GPT, create a narrated video review of Police Academy"
Lol this is AI voiceover in the video.
Yeah definitely AI voiceover and AI-generated text, noticed it almost immediately and downvoted
Greetings from Germany .... Thanks für these excellent Masterpiece Video for the World - Succes Movie Series --- Great --- Mega Great ..-

There is going to be a new film According To Michael Winslow .
Yes there should be a reboot of police academy ❤❤❤❤
4:10
Gut tenberg? That's not fair. He's gut a little bumb in the midsection but that's only because he had 'One in the oven. There was even an Arrow pointing to it.
Reboot of Police Academy would be interesting but soft reboot were some of the remaining cast can have Cameo appearances 🤔
It’s really weird that China’s national anthem is used as the background music in this vid 😂
🤗
I loved the first 2. Part 2 was the best one of all.
We need a new police academy movie
Bill Murray in police academy that would have been cool 💯
i love this movie
Did any notice that the background music is the Chinese National Anthem.
Was the clip with Robert Conrad from the movie moving violations
I love the whole saga, what I don't like is this A.I. voice for this video
Sorry
You forgot Eric Lassard was in Punky Brewster
Sure was
Little known fact alot of Asian girls learn to speak English partially from the help of the police academy movies.
Please reboot, but keep it in the same concept. Thank you.
Wrong is right is wrong. Moving violations was that movie.
I love Moving Violations. Not a fan of John Murray who steals too much from big brother Bill.
Great video!
Thanks 👏😀

POLICE ACADEMY, POLICE ACADEMY 2:THEIR FIRST ASSIGNMENT & POLICE ACADEMY 3: BACK IN TRAINING are favorite flims of all time 😊
Ask me i was in Police Academy 3 i was there for filming
The AI voice is pretty horrible.
I loved all the movies even the last ones that were admittedly trash, but Citizens On Patrol was my absolute favorite!
Maybe you could have watched the movie. Your butchering of so many names makes it clear that you didn’t watch it.
Great movies that aged like fine milk.
I would love to see a reboot of Police Academy
I feel one of the former cerdats ie Jones or Morhony, should come back but as the commission of the police academy and the chief of the police and start a new team of cerdats to take over them and this time put more money in to making it and make it more funny
The most diverse comedy with politically incorrect undertones.
I like it...
I liked the original film, and the second one wasn't too terrible. Bailey was brilliant as the "man you love to hate". He had a much more likable character in The Closer and Major Crimes.

Good video! But do it again with an actual human voice and not AI.
Mahogany's shirt patches are on the left at 16:13, at 16:20 the film is reversed, and at 16:21 no patches.
When Hightower flips the car, you can see there is no engine in it.
David Graf is buried at Forrest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster Ohio I have been by his grave when I headed up the hill to visit my kin buried up there.
20:08 Uhh that’s not a cigarette lol
I literally said out loud That's a Joint!
Police academy 5 is the best police academy movie
Play very good comedy of the 80s
dude? did you even watch the movies before making this? You pronounce ALL the names wrong. and "sax-off-un-ist?" What the hell?
😎🍿
Leslie Nielsen he would make it really funny in Police Academy
Michael Winslow in a LESSER FILM??? SPACEBALLS is MILES above Police Academy😂😂😂!
Who is the name of the guy wearing a white collar long sleeve shirt with a pair of khaki pants as he was walking along with the crowd and he looked the other way?
So they should do a last one
Ugh. AI voice.
If you're going to make videos how about using correct pronunciation of names? You said Guttenberg and Lessard wrong.
And also the street name Spadina.
A poteum is not a grandstand
*podium
Wow you must have been a very good hit in Germany change when a foreign foreign Comedy Award that is awesome
You really need to get out more often
why are you playing the chinese national anthem in the background?
Oh wow I thought she was a beautiful woman surprised hooks passed away
Why are you playing the Chinese national anthem in the background?
Another video gutted (intentional pun) by AI narration with terrible pronunciation. Ruins it.
So many mispronounced words and names...
AI voice ... 👎
So ahead of its time, mocking DEI 40 years ago. But movies like this also helped perpetuate it, it made people think screw ups could be effective cops just because they're the good guys.
I would agree to disagree, it was more about giving folks who didn't fit a defined and inflexible criteria a shot rather than DEI
I think you are using the national athem of China first 3 minutes of video!
Not a single mention of the Blue Oyster Bar. WHY NOT???? Afraid of the Woke Police????
why not? watch the video more carefully😎🍿
@@Movies_Inside_Out give me the time stamp. I watched it from beginning to end. Did I miss it? I saw a quarter second flash of it at the end. I hope that's not what you're talking about. Stop with the same corny unfunny jokes and puns after every movie mistake. They were NOT funny even the first time! Other than that good work
Easy there Siskel…
Can't control what an AI created video spits out.
Errors in some facts and many errors in name pronunciation (use your own narration!). Disliked. Do better dude.
😎🍿
This video is boring. Unliked
😁👌
AI channels sucks
😎🍿
Why do keep mispronouncing everyone's names? From Lassard to Roger Ebert.
Ai voice
🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡 for so many reasons
