This isn’t defending the dad, the actions were abhorrent and justice needs to be served accordingly, but everyone has the capacity to do these kinds of things, it’s just a dice roll. Abusive parents often WERE abused during their childhoods, and that became the only known outlet of coping with intense emotions. I deal with anger issues everyday. I’m much better off then where I was, and thankfully have the awareness to choose not to have kids if I do not take serious consideration on my progress with anger management. Trust me: it does not take much for even the calmest person to recede into primal emotional distress, the best way to combat it is with awareness of those emotions and knowledge of healthy coping strategies.
@@humannoodlesoup9308you can have anger issues and still know not to harm kids (: but good for you for making the right step with knowing you shouldn’t have kids ❤ I wish more people thought like you honestly I do as a mom of 2 I can’t imagine
@@MistyskyesYT same here! I think that’s the worst part about it, it’s not that we WANT to be angry, we can cognitively recognize that a menial inconvenience is just that, but it’s like a reflex. I just have to tell myself that we control our response to the emotion, not the emotion itself. Hope you are getting along well, and good luck!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSS Daz’s reaction to the ending was exactly what I was like. The fact that Daz is a parent too and he knows that some kids unfortunately deal with these kind of parents just makes it a lot harder to play. It’s really saddening that children deal with this everyday. I’m sorry if you’ve been through something like this.
That ending got me right in the heart. So many kids end up like that because of abusive parents. Poor kid had been dead the whole time and didnt even know.
What makes me sad is even though the mom isn't a good parent she did care about her son. I feel like you can tell she regrets leaving him alone with the father a lot. And even the note she left for her son shows she cared unlike the father, its upsetting cause if she took her child with her when storming out he might’ve lived.
Things to notice! The dolls neck is like that because that's how Ron died All the kids are in the places where they died or were hidden. So the kid in the grave died from being buried alive, the ginger kid died due to burning in a fire pit, the blond kid died because he was in the trunk of a car and got into a crash, got shot, was forgotten back there, or was kidnapped and tortured, and Ron who died to his father snapping his neck and placed in the closet to hide the body The "spell" was the motel card to where the father was hiding This part 15:16 correlates with this part 27:03 - 27:13 The casket the son was in 29:21 is the box that the doll came in 5:14 The dad looks like that because he's a twat ANHBUHNANJN THE LIKES TY SM I WOULD LIKE TO THANK BEYONCE
I don’t think the kid that was put in a trunk was blonde, I think it was a blindfold covering his head since he has a diaper I think he’s a baby still. 😢
I don't think it's necessarily where the kids died, rather where their bodies were hidden. So Ron was in the closet, the black haired girl was buried, the ginger child was burnt and the baby was hidden in the trunk of the car. Believe what you want though, this is just my take away x
As someone who had a childhood sort of similar to this game I know what the little boy is feeling. It’s so difficult to accept reality so you have to just pretend. Definitely a realistic game which is unfortunate because in no world should this be.
@@BakuDeku_fangirl I’m totally fine now and getting therapy for it so don’t worry! I just wanted to share how it was similar and how I bet a lot of people who come from abusive households can relate to the boy!
I was in the same position watching this. I'm glad that I am getting help with counselling for what happened to me. Now that I'm a mum, it's hard to come to terms with it, like how could they. My child is exactly like me, and it doesn't make sense what my family did to me because all I feel for my child is love, I could never hurt him physically or emotionally. If I do it by accident, I own up and apologise. I cut Contact so my baby can never feel my pain, and I can get better
the ending part where it shows why all of the kids are siting where they are sitting😭 the girl was hidden by being buried, the boy was incinerated in the campfire... and the last boy was put in the back of his abusers truck... THIS IS SO SAD!!!! 😭I didn't even realize until the end of the game!
Hey Daz, I got a game for you to play. It’s called ‘Call of Cthulhu’. It is a mystery game where you play as Detective Edward Pierce, and you investigate the case of a dead family on an island, then it plunges into something deeper. I think you’ll be interested in it. Just so you know, the game is called ‘Call of Cthulhu’. Like so Daz can see, please.
ill try explaining all the gameplay scenes : 0:48 door opens 14 times which shows all the 14 days the mom has come home late at night from im guessing the day the son died till the day the dad got arrested 4:39 the night the dad (mr red face) entered his room and murdered the son 5:44 the loose neck demonstrates the state his corpse was in after the murder 14:59 demonstrates the scene in which the sons corpse was approaching the dad , and the dad getting punished by going crazy from being haunted by the son 15:33 the motel card (spell) that was used to arrest the dad (defeat mr red face) 15:40 im guessing it shows how the mom found her sons corpse in the closet 17:42 shows mr red face strangling him aka the dad strangling the son, him passing out shows that he died right after that 20:49 the son throws the motel card (spell) to defeat his dads escape (mr red face) 23:56 shows that the dad is indeed mr red face due to him having a red face from all the alcohol.
That last fact was also a reference to the 2nd magic trick the doll showed Ron in the start. The rest I'm about to say is a complete theory and is not confirmed to be true: I think that the part when the doll DID show Ron the 2nd magic trick, was actually a changed memory Ron had to make himself feel better. He watched his dad drink and chug the bottle as he slammed it on the table 2 times, and broke the bottle on he third slam when he finished the bottle. Now, I know that Ron was sleeping at this time and that it doesn't really make sense, but remember; this changed memory happened day after the night Bruce (Dad/Mr. Redface) killed his son (Ron). Oml I'm so autistic /j
The doll also says "It is a small thing compared to the state of some of the other dolls" obviously refers to how other abused kids have been killed in far more brutal and gory ways
I’m usually someone who’s made of steel like I don’t get upset at most things like this but I actually felt sad watching this and I thought this was a VERY powerful way to get a message across like the use of a horror game is such a good way to convey a message like this and it did show so well how bad child abuse/abuse in general is
as a child abuse victim, death from someone's alcohol neglect or anger terrified me. i never excluded it as a possibility growing up. no matter what happened- my fear would lead me to this is going to lead to me dying. or someone else dying. i cried watching this
the way daz narrated the game, you could tell by his voice he knew it was going to be a deep meaning game. the message he brought at the end was heartfelt. currently crying now.
The mom didn't realize her son was dead for 14 days cause in Vietnam it is believed that spirits walk the night. But can't be seen during the day. The mom only realizes her kid is gone when she wakes up one day
all i wanna say is just thank you for making content daz, from a kid who grew up in this type of home and not really knowing what was really going on and with my dad constantly working its always been kinda lonely but i remember watching your content as a kid and just feeling less alone so thank you for just being here and staying here because youve helped me through tough times before i even knew that they were tough times
The writing and subtle hints are perfection, the bottle getting smashed the neck being loose and mr redface delivering the final blow who was actually the dad.
I wasn't expecting me to cry at the end like that (as i write this I'm still sobbing). It just takes me back (as I'm in the UK), to the cases on the news where children were murdered by their own family, neglected - and it breaks my heart. I don't think I'll be ever watching this again.
Warning ⚠️ the following Will contain a bad topic Yeah my mom's friend (well not anymore) k*lled her 1 year old baby by suffocating it (Idk what with) she did it because she believed God told her to- (she is in jail currently I think)
Ik and the social Service industry let. All these child murders happen like there was the boy and he was beaten so much he was upstairs in him room no energy because of the ab*se he was having and his parents just say “oh he’s sleeping” and they believed them and another time a very young boy I think 3 years old was completely to*tured by his family(WARNING IT GETS GRAPHIC⛔️‼️) they had pulled his finger nails out with pliers and to*rtured so much he wasn’t even recognisable and the latest one was a couple weeks ago when it came out it was this girl she was beaten to death by her family she died and they put her in her bed and left to another country later on the father confessed to police back in the uk that he k*lled. His daughter they all got arrested but that one is similar to this game it took police more that a week to find her (I think) it’s just heartbreaking how people can commit these disgusting and cruel murders to the child they are supposed to protect and watch over 😢😢
31:25 as time goes on I have noticed the older generation mentioning this more and more, and I 100% agree with this sentiment and can see why it has been ingrained in our history for so long. It actually feels like justice.
They come from a time where these people were rightfully put down to a time where, like in the case of my mother, a 3 year prison sentence is given out. We are used to this injustice but they've watched the decline. I'd be horrified too. They must feel like its getting closer to becoming legal or something....
omg i've been waiting for this game, the ending is such a bad but good ending, even the children early on show it, with one in a fire, one in the boot and one in a hole, it's so symbolic from early on
Omggg I use to watch you sooo much as a kid and I randomly stopped seeing you down my timeline and now I just ran across this now I got maybe 2-3 years to catch up on ayeeeee❤
Daz missed a very important detail here: 30:10 it showcase how or were they are in their death… as you can see by the one Daz is playing as is in the closet were his dead body was thrown in to…
The boy he is playing died in the closet, the red haired boy died in a fire the other day boy died in the trunk of the car and the girl died by getting buried alive
@@bluefiredragon114 did you even pay attention? the boy in the closet didn't die in the closet, so it's pretty obvious that the others didn't die in those areas. the boy in the closet was put there after he died, and it's the same with the other kids. red haired kid was disposed of in a fire, blonde kids body was put in the boot of a car, and the girls body was buried.

Hey daz you’ve probably seen this on RUclips by now or heard of it somewhere but there is a new horror game on the market called MOUTHWASHING that is as absolute masterpiece, it’s a story of delusion, insanity, choices, and human morality. It has a brutal ending and there are a lot of small secrets if you look between the cracks. It’s not a super long playthrough it took me about 2 hours, and it’s a really good, and really sad narrative.
The ending children were in the places where their killer hid them, the child in the trunk, the child in the ground/grave, the child in the fire, and then Ron in the closet. There were also a lot of hints where Ron’s neck had been snapped, the dolls loose neck looks the same as Ron’s broken neck in the ending, as well as the mums neck which twisted when she asked Ron what he was doing hiding in the closet
It’s so crazy that after watching for the second time you realize the first scene of the dad shaking and all is the son haunting him in his memories. When we say to him “come back home” it’s a part of the dad’s imagination, and his guilt is driving him insane. And later it gets revealed that that blank room is the motel and we see the whole thing from the dad’s perspective. Same with the mom crying in the start - the room was the interrogation room, and the spell that we threw at her was the evidence she needed to go arrest the dad. I love this non-linear timeline so much, it’s so smart!
I don't know if it's true, but in the end where the kids are sitting/laying down, shows how they died, like the girl got dumped murdered in a hole, the ginger being lit on fire, and the one in the car I'm supposing, kidnapping murder and the kid your playing gets killed and dies in a closet. I've been waiting on you daz to play this game, it's so depressing knowing how such adorable and innocent kids die such a cruel death. Watching this again, I only now realized that the dads "prison" is the cheap motel, and where the mom cries and the kid throws the so called spell in the room w the mom,is the actual interview room. Holy crap this is actually insane. Can't imagine that some kids actually go thru this.
It sort of implies that the ghosts are innocent and don't remember anything that happened to them. And I'm guessing all of those victims are from other fathers that killed their children.
One thing I’ve noticed and appreciate is that horror games, and the horror genre In genral has been leaning more towards the horror of reality, with topics such as this and drug abuse. It fascinating to see and kind of sad in a way that horror is more inclined to show these things as they are where as a lot of other media either doesn’t talk about it, sensationalises it or covers it with rose tinted glasses
Also when his mom is crying in the weird room when she is take he slips the spell ( which is actually the motel card ) into that room for her to see , I noticed that because she looks the exact same as she look when speaking to the investigators which look funny because these are all people he can’t remember so it’s filled in with a blank.
This one hit super close to home, when your going through something like this its so extremely hard to see the person as bad person. I still to this day i miss my dad and mom but im glad ive been able to grow and thrive
The fact that this is also based off of a true story makes it hit harder expecially as im a victim of an abusive childhood.things like this should be talked about more eventhough things like this should not be happening.
This got me almost as much as My Eyes Deceive, both such amazing games...the extreme abuse of children is highlighted in both, so I don't recommend it to anyone who's having a hard time atm

The character gives me Coraline’s other mother vibes, fits well with the plot too. Also, with the dolls looking like the characters. Heartbreaking game though 😢
This hit close to home for me, i did struggle with abuse at home from my father, although not entirely in the same way, the toll it takes on children is so damaging, hearing the child cry when his father picked him up absolutely broke my heart (and i'm now a grown man) i have some friends who go through worse situations than myself, i was lucky didn't escalate this far. it's good to acknowledge that it actually happens in the real world to children, and some parents can be awful.
This game is right up there with that other horrendous game where the kid gets SAed by this lady in the apartment complex that him and his mom live in. She made her son go to each door to see if they wanted this food she made. Then at the end it turned out that the food was the dad after she killed him and cooked him into many soups.
@@HexMileena Yeah that’s it. I watched him play it and man was that awful... I can’t believe someone would make such a game like this... Obviously it’s real life but to make a game out of it? Smh. Not right.
The way everything connected at the end was so incredibly clever. Unfortunately my childhood was similar but of course I survived it. Such a well written game! I loved this video ❤❤❤❤
I love how they added how in Vietnam, people believed that spirits are only caught in night and that the mom still saw ron late at night after work even though he already died
29:49 the girl was in the hole in the ground because she got Buried alive, the little boy in the fireplace was burned alive, and the little boy in the car was killed and stuffed in the trunk of the car or he was hit by the car by his mom/dad and then died. I feel horrible but I like the gameplay...
This is why I keep telling EVERY PERSON that saying 'why didn't you marry? why didn't you want children?' because of this. I may say I am good now. but only Lord knows what will happen to me in the uncertain future. I am so mad at my friends or family wanting children when they themselves are not a better person. Yes, there are circumstances where people GROWS to be good and better in time when having children. but do tell me, whatever happens to those children who's been unfortunate and succumb to this kind of selfish, evil and cruelty of 'HUMANS GAMBLED in being PARENTS'. good lord. 😢 WE NEED TO REALIZE that CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE in CHOOSING PARENTS. 💔

That ending got me right in the heart. So many kids end up like that because of abusive parents. Poor kid had been dead the whole time and didnt even know.
Such a nasty way to die too. The thought of having my neck snapped scares me.
What makes me sad is even though the mom isn't a good parent she did care about her son.
I feel like you can tell she regrets leaving him alone with the father a lot. And even the note she left for her son shows she cared unlike the father, its upsetting cause if she took her child with her when storming out he might’ve lived.

end; " NAH WHAT THE FLIP!! "
REAL
MAYAAAAA HAHAHAAHAHHAHAHH
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED YO DO 😭
Things to notice!
The dolls neck is like that because that's how Ron died
All the kids are in the places where they died or were hidden. So the kid in the grave died from being buried alive, the ginger kid died due to burning in a fire pit, the blond kid died because he was in the trunk of a car and got into a crash, got shot, was forgotten back there, or was kidnapped and tortured, and Ron who died to his father snapping his neck and placed in the closet to hide the body
The "spell" was the motel card to where the father was hiding
This part 15:16 correlates with this part 27:03 - 27:13
The casket the son was in 29:21 is the box that the doll came in 5:14
The dad looks like that because he's a twat
ANHBUHNANJN THE LIKES TY SM I WOULD LIKE TO THANK BEYONCE
I don’t think the kid that was put in a trunk was blonde, I think it was a blindfold covering his head since he has a diaper I think he’s a baby still. 😢
@@HLLKTTY-eh1dc I think that might have been his hair??
I was not expecting the last sentence 😂😂 true, but funny 😂
the dad part took me out LMAO
I don't think it's necessarily where the kids died, rather where their bodies were hidden. So Ron was in the closet, the black haired girl was buried, the ginger child was burnt and the baby was hidden in the trunk of the car. Believe what you want though, this is just my take away x
As someone who had a childhood sort of similar to this game I know what the little boy is feeling. It’s so difficult to accept reality so you have to just pretend. Definitely a realistic game which is unfortunate because in no world should this be.
I hope you got the help you needed, and I'm sorry you went through something similar...all good wishes to you
@@BakuDeku_fangirl I’m totally fine now and getting therapy for it so don’t worry!

@@Mama-Fish18 your such a good mom 🩷

ill try explaining all the gameplay scenes :
0:48 door opens 14 times which shows all the 14 days the mom has come home late at night from im guessing the day the son died till the day the dad got arrested
4:39 the night the dad (mr red face) entered his room and murdered the son
5:44 the loose neck demonstrates the state his corpse was in after the murder
14:59 demonstrates the scene in which the sons corpse was approaching the dad , and the dad getting punished by going crazy from being haunted by the son
15:33 the motel card (spell) that was used to arrest the dad (defeat mr red face)
15:40 im guessing it shows how the mom found her sons corpse in the closet
17:42 shows mr red face strangling him aka the dad strangling the son, him passing out shows that he died right after that
20:49 the son throws the motel card (spell) to defeat his dads escape (mr red face)
23:56 shows that the dad is indeed mr red face due to him having a red face from all the alcohol.
That last fact was also a reference to the 2nd magic trick the doll showed Ron in the start.
The rest I'm about to say is a complete theory and is not confirmed to be true:
I think that the part when the doll DID show Ron the 2nd magic trick, was actually a changed memory Ron had to make himself feel better.

I’m usually someone who’s made of steel like I don’t get upset at most things like this but I actually felt sad watching this and I thought this was a VERY powerful way to get a message across like the use of a horror game is such a good way to convey a message like this and it did show so well how bad child abuse/abuse in general is
as a child abuse victim, death from someone's alcohol neglect or anger terrified me. i never excluded it as a possibility growing up. no matter what happened- my fear would lead me to this is going to lead to me dying. or someone else dying. i cried watching this

For me it was how mr red face is not technically the dad but what alcohol turned the dad into. That one hit home lol. Hope you're all good mate
the way daz narrated the game, you could tell by his voice he knew it was going to be a deep meaning game. the message he brought at the end was heartfelt. currently crying now.
The mom didn't realize her son was dead for 14 days cause in Vietnam it is believed that spirits walk the night. But can't be seen during the day. The mom only realizes her kid is gone when she wakes up one day
all i wanna say is just thank you for making content daz, from a kid who grew up in this type of home and not really knowing what was really going on and with my dad constantly working its always been kinda lonely but i remember watching your content as a kid and just feeling less alone so thank you for just being here and staying here because youve helped me through tough times before i even knew that they were tough times
i started watching daz in year 7 and now i'm in second year of uni 😭😭😭
No game has ever made me tear up, but this one got me sobbing hard. It's so sad!! Thank you for playing Daz.
I just can't imagine experiencing such horrors.

2:18 i choked when i saw daz face when he saw the dad 😂😂

@@femboycookies Or some other abusive relative.
