what a beautiful setup. love it!!! anyway you can pronounce Bucephalandra with cé, thats how we pronouce it in Indonesia and I think that species is originally from Borneo Island of Indonesia and Malaysia. Great Video Juri
The time and effort you put into showing us all the plants, the plant name lists, the plant layout map towards the end of the video is really much appreciated. It helps us learn better. Thanks.
For me, it doesn't matter how you pronounce "Bucephalandra", just pronounce it the way you feel more comfortable with. Can't wait to see the update with this tank. Thank you Jurijs for sharing this video with us, hopefully now I can apply it with my tanks.😉🐇🐇🐇
Such beauty, very inspiring. I enjoy all your videos and charming accent. I’m making a “foggy film” background this week on my 125 gallon due to seeing your tutorial. Take care from Burley Idaho.
Nice video. Thank you for that. Dont you have issue with water KH when you have stones and CO2 system? My KH is going every day +1 degree. I use seiryu and CO2.
Saw this one in person recently in Rodgau. I’m now inspired to copy your plant choices for my next scape! Really expert layout and beautiful juxtaposition of species which highlight one another perfectly. Great job!
Jurijs Jutjajevs Aquascaping - That’s right . I gave you credit for me discovering his store. Very nice man, and I was shocked we could communicate in my horrible German. But we understood each other sticking to vocabulary about fish and plants :-) i may source from Dieter after moving to Europe in a few week. Best wishes, Chris.
Thanks for the tour and tips. Aquascaping stores are rare in the USA. Few also layer substrate as you showed. I like the concept and appearance. The powdered substrate was a nice touch. I am curious what species of aquatic life you will choose to augment your scape. Thanks again, Jim
Hi jurijs, Is it okay if Im using any kind of root / tree I found on the street ? If yes, what should I do ? do I need to soak it on the water? thanks anyway, I hope you can reply me. I love your videos. so inspiring me. Thanks from Jakarta
Great video. How long will your substrate stay enriched now that you added the powder? I hear without the powder the mineral substrate only lasts about a year. I'm new to this and I still don't fully understand why using one thing over another is better as far as substrate for live plants. Have a video?
Bucepalandra is a plant endemic to Indonesia, precisely on the island of Borneo. we usually call it buce or bucepalandra. use the letter c because in Indonesia we read c not k
Hi Jurijs, great looking scape and and amazing store. So many beautiful layouts in there. I pronounce it busefalandra. Will be great to see the update to see the growth. All the best, Martin
hi Jurijs, nice video, anw how to plant the montecarlo carpet plant in effective way?should it plant directly on the water or using emersed method first?thanks
I plead Guilty as charged! 😁😉👌🏼 Bro, changing home in a couple of months, so I decide to re-scape my 400L tank with a “version” of your Ancient Juniper Wood layout A Forest of tall Crypts with a hint of cyperus helferi, trident fern, Ricardia Moss spots (personal favourite) and some Bucephalandra niches ( “Bu-sse-fa-landra” ) You are a true inspiration! Keep up the good vibes across Europe! Hope to meet you in person some day, Sensei 🙏🏼🤚🏼🤛🏼👌🏼⛩ Namasté
Danke im voraus ... and dont forget an update of this Tank..
Hey! New to aquascapeing here, 1 question if possible: Isn't the superglue affecting the water? seen a few people using that in their aquariums. Cheers!
Hey Jurijs! I love your videos! But not sure if you have a website, portfolio or something apart from youtube. In any case I would like to ask you a few things as I would love to make my first auqscaping: 1.- Is it possible to have a nano tank (20/25L) low tech only with light? so No filter, no pump, no CO2, no heater. Just some fish and a great aquascape? I'm living in Gran Canaria so the temperature here is quite good all year round... 2.- I'm thinking to have a Betta with Neon Tetras, do they need CO2? Where can I find a list of living animals (snails, shrimps, fish, etc) that don't need CO2? Thanks a mill and keep the great work! :)
Hey Jurijs, very nice scape! I have a question for you, why did you cut the Cryptos? To prevent melt? So is it advised to do and with all crypts? Cheers from Felipe Oliveira country
Nice aqua scape, I can see that you and the owner made a well though planting layout. Looking forward to the update on this aquarium. Question: why did you used the powder on the top? For the cleaner look or is there another reason?
@@JurijsJutjajevs thanks, going to look if I have room in my smaller/limited budget for a powdered soil on the carpeted part. Just trying to create the best possible substrate in my aquarium. Plants are easier to replace or add, substrate isn't. Probably I will first add the substrate and hardscape and taking then some time to watch if I like it, after that making a decision which plants to use.
Massive well done Jurijs, Looking excellent! Thanks for helping me finding the name of this plant I really like, Myriophyllum Mattogrossense :) Need some help tho, it looks stunning on my water jars with the Bettas, no filter, just LED light and little water changes... but not so nice on the main tank with filters and CO2 injection... any idea? It's becoming yellowish and not so nice! Any tip? thanks :D Keep up the good work! Inspiring!
@@JurijsJutjajevs thank you! Just scared of overdosing really as of course I give TNC complete daily. Shall i increase the dose, won't be the recommended values on the packaging but higher. Tank is highly planted, maybe that could be the reason?
@@JurijsJutjajevs I will do that from today across my 3 scapes and see. Must be more disciplined on water changes too, as i only do them every 6 to 10 days.... Cheers Jurijs ;)
@@JurijsJutjajevs Thanks Jurijs, will do! Let me see how it goes now, i must double fertilizer dosis and maintain water changers. my TDS reader measures always 300+ which i think is also quite high... :(
Jurijs Jutjajevs I have ADA 60*45*45 and find it harder to scape because of the height and depth. But you did a awesome job with this one which is similar dimensions.

Most of us call it “Buce”... that helps with the nomenclature... Beautiful work as usual and you have much stamina to work late into the night!!!
Perfect timing! .. Pondering how to fill cracks and frame some seiryu islands..Going with some buce in the repertoire. thank you. "Boose!" that is..

Cyanoacrylate is safe
How do you avoid poisoning the fish with the cyanoacrylate of the super glue?
it doesn't harm the fish at all, never had any issues with it

Should be 1080, isn’t it.?
