Another thing to mention global carried WuWa the most while in china the iOS revenue only increase 1 million to 6 million usd comparing to last month that only has 9 days to count the revenue

You can even buy 2 constellations from coral shop for free. And the weapons in wuwa can be swapped in endgame. So you don't even need to pulls for multiple weapons of same type, unlike genshin. Also the playability in mobile is very low because of poor optimization. You need at least a mid end phone to even run the game. While genshin can run even on 5yo phones very well. Considering all this, they did pretty well.
I am kurogames fan and played WuWa extensively, but man Firefly hit me hard and I plunged head on into Star Rail in June. Well deserved first place for HSR.
I've been playing Arknights, HSR, and WuWa since release. It's so hard to replace these 3 games, and for me these are the best game form each genre in the market so far. Might add Endfield in the future

I don't understand how people are having so many issues on mobile, I just completed my weekly boss runs on mobile at work, game ran smooth with no issues at all. I have a fold 4, I think people either are trying to run the game at maxed graphics or their phone is not up to par to even run the game.
Wuthering wave give so much pulls that people have very less need to spend money. Where as in genshin you get next to nothing they had spend or farm 2 or more update to save enough to pull on one banner only to see they lost 50/50 and forget about the weapon.

If that's true it does explain the "low" amount spent for firefly and also a ton of yinlins banner is not being accounted for. All I'm saying is that these numbers are skewed, as Jena did point out the surprisingly low amount of revenue generated through the ff banner. Its important context depending on what banner in a specific gacha has had a 15 day period of android sales not taken into account.

I would say that June of Star Rail was mostly from Firefly Ruan Mei banners. Boothill banner was the lowest banner revenue among HSR banners being sandwiched by FF/RM and Robin?Topaz. Not to mention, there seems to be an issue with Sensor Tower that 15 days of the month of June has no revenue and it included the first 3 days of Firefly's banner.

one thing i dont see mentioned a lot, is that 1.1 introduced a lot of bugs for both mobile and pc players, That many are still unfixed. suprisingly all youtubers dont get it,like camera zoom bug on pc
I have a 5 yr old laptop and the game runs super fine. From 1.0 to 1.1, haven't experienced any bugs. Maybe just a couple of crashes only when i'm idle or afk, but that's only it. I also tried it on my phone. No issues as well and my phone is even older than my laptop.
Wuwa from 7th place last month to 3rd place this month, 1.1 revenue will be interesting to see if it can maintain or surpass it's current peak. ZZZ coming out in a few days, wonder where it will rank, Genshin and Honkai likely to drop in revenue next.

Wuwa will be fine. Best action rpg gacha out atm. Zzz will also be fine. Many won't want to admit it, but hoyo is basically the Blizzard of the gacha world: it doesn't matters what foul they do or how trash their game currently is, fans pray to it for everything they do. So zzz will sefintively be on top 3.
Imo, it’s entirely on WuWa. They have to keep pushing good contents like 1.1 over and over again and that’s the real hardest part. Can they keep this consistency on a big project like this for a year? especially later on this year the competition will be even more fiercer with ZZZ and Azur Promilia. If they can they should be doing fine. At worst they should still be at top 10. If they can’t I would imagine they will lose player base real quick to other big gacha games.
You say CN is the only thing that matters but you never actually checked global revenue. Global Wuthering Waves made more than global Genshin. It's the first game I've seen that's blowing CN out of the water in revenue, besides maybe Nikke and some other JP focused games. This could be a huge deal in the coming months for Wuthering Waves.
I can't wait to see how Epic Seven will do once ML Luna comes out. She has got to be the most hyped and anticipated ML unit ever. Even as a husbando collector myself, I'm excited and been saving for her as well.

In global (without China) Wuwa is double Genshin's revenue. The main issue with Wuwa is the terrible mobile optimization (the game is too much for most phones) and the Chinese market is predominately mobile, whereas global tends to play on PC.

I've seen the version of this sensor tower report wherein Global and CN were separated, it appears that WuWa global did earn more than Genshin global due to JP/KR doing it's usual heavy lifting, it's just that CN carried Genshin so hard. I think one of the reason is CN's gacha gaming is mostly done like 80% in mobile, and WuWa due to Unreal engine being really a hard fit for mobile optimization hurt their mobile target audience plus the fact that whaling in WuWa is like hundreds,maybe even thousands of dollars cheaper. Or maybe a more tinfoil hat conspiracy theory is that a story back then said Hoyo is under CCP so obviously their interests in CN are highly protected lmao although this one is highly improbable lmao.
Genshin probably made more on mobile on global. The thing is, in jp people switched from using ios store to top up because mhy increased prices by 20%, so a lot of people switched to codashop which is cheaper. But once camellya comes, that will be the deciding point of being f2p, light spender or whale. I'm just guessing that there's more Changli lovers than jinhsi considering how well Yinlin's banner did. Since both Yinli and changli have similar ASSETS. Because of how generous Kuro have been, most people were able to get their desired outcome. I say let's see how well WuWa players fare on Changli's banner and after 1.1 because Jinhsi and Changli had leaks for like 2.5 weeks.
I find its a bit weird that people complaining about wuwa's mobile optimization and sensitivity , as i played in on pc , so i just tried downloading it and playing it on my mobile phone Poco F3 bought around 2020 and it works perfectly fine for me tho . no lags / sensitivity issue . The reason for wuthering making less than Genshin is simple; in Genshin you get Lumine. Basic, child, sad excuse for a 5 star. In Wuwa you get Female Rover: top tier waifu who is actually meta havoc dmg. No need to waste money when the best waifu is given from the start. We be winning 👍
The reason why genshin popped off this month its because of the furina rerun banner and clorinde because she was hyped since fontaine launch. Man I think wuwa would be higher if yinlin sales from the first week and jinhsi first week is combined it would have surpassed genshin. Chlorinde absolutely wasn't a very hyped charecter, she barely appeared in the story and barely made any impact there, not to mention she is quite frankly mid at c0, yes she s very fun to play but her DMG isnt there at all, and furina, yes you could make that argument still but both yinlin and the other girl are supposed to be top waifu material, like yelan or Kafka their numbers didn't do as well, specially considering wuwa is a brand new game and genshin is 4 years old
Dont forget that furina is strong but she was alongside one of the worst genshin character and weapon banner: sigewinne, so chlorinde banner did also contributed, especially since alhaitam who was alongside her is a great dps overall

Honestly, this months revenue was great. All the Genshin haters got shut up; even with Yinlin and Jinhsi, Genshin still managed to pull ahead. People need to face the reality that this game will never die, unless Hoyo badly mess up, and competitors do really well. All the people that said WuWa will flop got shut up; this game has a bright future. If Kuro are able to fix all the major problems with their game, then I don't really see it EOSing any time soon. However, what was surprising, is that WuWa in CN barely rose. A 3.5mil increase with two, new, female characters who are pretty meta is quite low. Not sure what that means for the future, but it breaks from the general trend of CN revenue>global revenue for a gacha. And ofc, HSR topping the charts with Firefly. She did less than I expected though, didn't match Acheron or Arlecchino (timeframes of the banner could impact that, idk the banners' timeframes) But anyways, all three games' revenue went up, so none of the fanbases should have anything to worry about.
There's a ton of drama and other factors in the chinese community keeping the game down hard along with performance issues maybe I'd make a video on it sometime

Yes kinda expected this. Was pretty obvious what the rankings were gonna be. Firefly sells like hotcakes. Genshin In a dead patch. Yinlin of course does well. Once Natlan starts up though it’s Genshin at the top for a while again.
PS and Xbox. They should be on both. The global revenue this month honestly surprised me. I know gacha gamers are a special breed so they probably don't realize CN gaming market is just a small fraction. They don't have anything that competes with Sony, Microsoft, Epic and Valve. If WuWa can find success in the west they could give Hoyoverse a run for their money. Considering this doesn't include PC, that could've already happened for all we know. HSR lost global revenue this last month with the Firefly banner and WuWa beat Genshin. It's definitely something to keep an eye on.
WuWa is more f2p friendly than Genshin. Plus GI has more banners and a scammy weapon banner while WuWa has a guaranteed weapon banner so i'm not that surprised.

No sensor tower basically is not a great site to measure wuwa revenue. Wuwa is unplayable on mobile during it's release and even then it still stutters to most mobile players. For me imo I can safely say their PC revenue is tremendous in both CN and Global. They even have the guts to hire another 150 employees that means they already have extra income to spare especially since tencent is a shareholder in Wuwa project

You can see they phased out older DPSes by making a steep powercreep. It left a bad taste in my mouth since Acheron so I didn't pull her or Firefly. I'll be skipping a lot banners because of them. E2 Firefly just being better than E6 Seele is insane to me.
one thing i dont see mentioned a lot, is that 1.1 introduced a lot of bugs for both mobile and pc players, That many are still unfixed. suprisingly all youtubers dont get it,like camera zoom bug on pc
well most youtubers have very high end gaming pc with good processors so prolly it is a major factor that they are not experiencing it

I'm not a CC and I don't have an high end PC and I don't get those bugs either. So...
I have a 5 yr old laptop and the game runs super fine. From 1.0 to 1.1, haven't experienced any bugs. Maybe just a couple of crashes only when i'm idle or afk, but that's only it. I also tried it on my phone. No issues as well and my phone is even older than my laptop.

Imo, it’s entirely on WuWa. They have to keep pushing good contents like 1.1 over and over again and that’s the real hardest part. Can they keep this consistency on a big project like this for a year? especially later on this year the competition will be even more fiercer with ZZZ and Azur Promilia.
If they can they should be doing fine. At worst they should still be at top 10. If they can’t I would imagine they will lose player base real quick to other big gacha games.
You say CN is the only thing that matters but you never actually checked global revenue. Global Wuthering Waves made more than global Genshin. It's the first game I've seen that's blowing CN out of the water in revenue, besides maybe Nikke and some other JP focused games. This could be a huge deal in the coming months for Wuthering Waves.

The main issue with Wuwa is the terrible mobile optimization (the game is too much for most phones) and the Chinese market is predominately mobile, whereas global tends to play on PC.

I've seen the version of this sensor tower report wherein Global and CN were separated, it appears that WuWa global did earn more than Genshin global due to JP/KR doing it's usual heavy lifting, it's just that CN carried Genshin so hard.
I think one of the reason is CN's gacha gaming is mostly done like 80% in mobile, and WuWa due to Unreal engine being really a hard fit for mobile optimization hurt their mobile target audience plus the fact that whaling in WuWa is like hundreds,maybe even thousands of dollars cheaper.
Or maybe a more tinfoil hat conspiracy theory is that a story back then said Hoyo is under CCP so obviously their interests in CN are highly protected lmao although this one is highly improbable lmao.
Genshin probably made more on mobile on global. The thing is, in jp people switched from using ios store to top up because mhy increased prices by 20%, so a lot of people switched to codashop which is cheaper. I don't expect wuwa numbers on global to last for long, global players switch up too fast ironically enough. Thats why you cater to cn/jp/kr, and jinshi banner did very badly across the board.

I'm just guessing that there's more Changli lovers than jinhsi considering how well Yinlin's banner did. Since both Yinli and changli have similar ASSETS. Because of how generous Kuro have been, most people were able to get their desired outcome.
I say let's see how well WuWa players fare on Changli's banner and after 1.1 because Jinhsi and Changli had leaks for like 2.5 weeks.
I find its a bit weird that people complaining about wuwa's mobile optimization and sensitivity , as i played in on pc , so i just tried downloading it and playing it on my mobile phone Poco F3 bought around 2020 and it works perfectly fine for me tho . no lags / sensitivity issue . The reason for wuthering making less than Genshin is simple; in Genshin you get Lumine. Basic, child, sad excuse for a 5 star.

The reason why genshin popped off this month its because of the furina rerun banner and clorinde because she was hyped since fontaine launch. Man I think wuwa would be higher if yinlin sales from the first week and jinhsi first week is combined it would have surpassed genshin. Firefly is hyped but not as hyped as Archeron because Archeron is Raiden Mei Expo I cant say anything about that.

Chlorinde absolutely wasn't a very hyped charecter, she barely appeared in the story and barely made any impact there, not to mention she is quite frankly mid at c0, yes she s very fun to play but her DMG isnt there at all, and furina, yes you could make that argument still but both yinlin and the other girl are supposed to be top waifu material, like yelan or Kafka their numbers didn't do as well, specially considering wuwa is a brand new game and genshin is 4 years old
as someone who owns clorinde and has seen the pull numbers, she sadly has not performed very well....
Dont forget that furina is strong but she was alongside one of the worst genshin character and weapon banner: sigewinne, so chlorinde banner did also contributed, especially since alhaitam who was alongside her is a great dps overall

Honestly, this months revenue was great.
All the Genshin haters got shut up; even with Yinlin and Jinhsi, Genshin still managed to pull ahead. People need to face the reality that this game will never die, unless Hoyo badly mess up, and competitors do really well.
All the people that said WuWa will flop got shut up; this game has a bright future. If Kuro are able to fix all the major problems with their game, then I don't really see it EOSing any time soon.
However, what was surprising, is that WuWa in CN barely rose. A 3.5mil increase with two, new, female characters who are pretty meta is quite low. Not sure what that means for the future, but it breaks from the general trend of CN revenue>global revenue for a gacha.
And ofc, HSR topping the charts with Firefly. She did less than I expected though, didn't match Acheron or Arlecchino (timeframes of the banner could impact that, idk the banners' timeframes)
But anyways, all three games' revenue went up, so none of the fanbases should have anything to worry about.

I know gacha gamers are a special breed so they probably don't realize CN gaming market is just a small fraction. They don't have anything that competes with Sony, Microsoft, Epic and Valve. If WuWa can find success in the west they could give Hoyoverse a run for their money. Considering this doesn't include PC, that could've already happened for all we know. HSR lost global revenue this last month with the Firefly banner and WuWa beat Genshin. It's definitely something to keep an eye on.

No sensor tower basically is not a great site to measure wuwa revenue. Wuwa is unplayable on mobile during it's release and even then it still stutters to most mobile players. For me imo I can safely say their PC revenue is tremendous in both CN and Global. They even have the guts to hire another 150 employees that means they already have extra income to spare especially since tencent is a shareholder in Wuwa project
