Great video, my man. What a fascinating drummer and setup! Really loving your release cadence of these videos, can’t be easy to put one out this often. Keep up the great work!
Working Crummer podcast brought me here. We've seen Cory 3 times and loved every one of the shows. First show Feb. of 2019 and Cory let me get a picture with him! 🤩
I actually saw this rundown before I ever heard Petar with Cory Wong. Wow! What a beautiful drummer with an amazing band! Petar is my new favorite drummer. 🥁❤️
I'm glad we could expose you to a new incredible drummer! THAT IS AWESOME. Petar rules, he should at the top of everyone's list. Thanks for watching! ⚡️🥁⚡️
Really cool set up and thoughtful gear choices/solutions! RE: metal drummer set ups, bruh, read my mind with those stands, would be so helpful for my cramped multi Tom set up 🫠😜
Really interesting and cool. A bit annoying that the drums played during the interview are heared through the talking mics and not the fully mic'ed kit 🥲. Still very awesome setup, those stands are crazy 🤪
Petar's cymbal overtone control is the work of uncoupled vs coupled mass. It's like adding a gate to your instrument. You get almost all the initial attack and tone and then when the muffler falls back down on the surface it cuts out the sound starting with the highest frequencies first. Why a lot of drummers put their wallet on their snare. Coupled mass is less like a gate and more like a low pass filter.
Thanks for watching! There are a few episodes where we cover mics and recording set ups! Those are usually episodes where we are in studio/practice spaces. I generally let the drummers decide what gear they wanna cover, and often times they don't know the brand/model/specs of mics being used in the live setting, but we will talk about mics when they can!
He mentioned before does that when he plays with Cory Wong because Cory prefers the the cymbals to be ‘darker’ in the mix. Something about controlling the treble-y overtones so they work with his style of music? 🤷♂️
I love Petar's playing (TIGHT), but especially love his sense of humor and joy. He adds so much to the Wong Notes.
We just wish he wasn't so boring in interviews. 😹
@@drumrundown nothing new to say, that one 😉
LMFAO!
This kit sounds drier than my mother-in-law's humour. Amazing! Love Petar!
😹😹😹 bone dry, my dude! LOL
😂 „they sing…“. Thanks for the great rundown!
😂😂😂
Hope you come to Montreal again this year!
hands down one of the top drumers at the moment...
100% best feel and chops combo. Never get tired of him shredding!
Petar! Yes!!
Nice intro jam. He knows exactly how to get back to the pocket.
That was REAL FUN to edit! 🦾
This is awesome...great presentation and we love Petar!
Thanks for watching!

Petar’s playing is so locked in! Absolutely killer! 🔥
🦾🦾
Sick! 💥🔥💥
Sweet jam , love the amazing snare. Thank you for the share, keep on jamming

It’s like you can tell if a drummer is pro by his purdie shuffle. This dude started right of with a mint purdie shuffle. Nice.
⚡️🤘🤘⚡️
Smack it! Wonderful!
The SMACK STACK is so killer!
Dude great stuff gotta get some of these products!
That Smack Stack is gonna be on every list to Santa next year for sure...
@@drumrundown being a Soultone Cymbals endorser I'm just waiting till they come out with one!
I'm a Paiste guy, and these got me ready to cheat... lol
Dude, guy’s a beast. Pure FIRE!
Groove!
His pockets keep extra pockets in their pockets. That's what I heard.
Can we buy these yet. I'd love to try them.
Really cool set up and thoughtful gear choices/solutions!

So good 🙏🏻
The goodest of the good!
I play guitar but I could listen to Petar play drums all day. Absoloutely dig the drums and bass from Cory Wong shows.. Delicious.
The tastiest pocket ever!
Yup it most certainly is.. Hoping for an Australian tour.. Cory I'm looking at you.@@drumrundown
Magnifico.👑👑👑👑👑👑
Dude is sick! ❤
The “smack stack”?!? I finally find out what makes that awesome sound.😎

We really need the meinl Petar Janic signature cymbal towel
Somebody's gonna make some money!
Absolutely 💯 😅
He's especially good live
Where is his HH mounted cowbell?
That's the best part of his fills!
More cowbell always! Tho the Smack Stack is definitely doing it for me.
If you haven't yet go see him live. With kit dead as this you can hear how INSANELY precise Petar is.
Left handed power🇪🇸🤝
Just saw Petar with Cory and the gang in Detroit.
The whole band is full of monster players!
Nêgah wasn't there tho...oh well next time🤘
the man!
For us drummers who record, it would be really cool if you guys also covered microphone choices around the kit! Please consider it!

@@drumrundown That makes sense, thanks for the reply!
shewwww buddy
⚡️🤘⚡️
Petar’s playing is tight and tasty. Absolutely perfect match with Cory’s approach. I rest my case. #therestishistory
DEFINITELY!
my man can play, but he do look like John b the r and b singer from the 90’s
we want the mix tape!
@@drumrundown big facts, tell him to remix ‘ they don’t know’!
👍👍👌
That's drier than a towel.
AND I added some reverb! LMAO
Love that he's using Derek Roddy hats for NOT metal.
SNAKE BREEDER! lol They sound awesome.
@@drumrundown indeed they do.
What's with all of the dampening? Don't ever dampen the cymbals. they weren't made to sound like that.

we are not in the army colonel. There is no regulation book in the art of drumming.Uniqe sounds and solutions are more then welcome.
