The thumbnail image at the beginning was taken by Paul's brother, Mike McCartney, in the front room of their family home at 20 Forthlin Rd, Liverpool. The faux brick wallpaper on the chimney breast was a favourite of their mum, Mary. Since the National Trust acquired the house they searched in vain for a similar paper. They have now redecorated with a specially commissioned and Mike McCartney approved, copy
Should note that for Rockin' and Rollin,' vocals and trumpet were overdubbed. This is probably John and Paul's first experiments into overdubbing and studio work on their home tape machine
Wow Good stuff thanks for sharing! The "Noodling" track is interesting, first there is 4 minutes of piano with bird chirpings, then Paul does a rendition of Gene Austin's "Girl of my dreams" - a jazz standard that no doubt the group knew from their childhood days. The "Down in Cuba" is so deliciously John while fully loaded. "Pedro the Fisherman" as well...Love it. Why hasnt this been released on a boxed set yet? WTF?
I heard the first section of the piano bit but never the remakes of the last part. Very cool. Someone must have the full unedited movie version of Ringo’s Theme out there
Funny how Home recording and anything before George Martin, vocal, music, and arrangement sounded AWFUL. I Really am coming to the conclusion they were a TAVISTOCK PROJECT. Too many turn them down, but EMI A subsidiary of TAVISTOCK sign them. How lucky 🤪

I've read they were putting the finishing touches on "I Saw Her Standing There".

I thought it was a cello😂
Wow I recall McCartney talking about Pedro the Fisherman in an interview some years ago!
It's always interesting to hear a Beatle just f'n around.

Damn! The Maharishi song is scathing! Atta boy, John. How did this stuff get out?
That tiny little bit from A Hard day's night took all that huh??

Cool pic above, too. I know the names of 5 of those guys, who's the fella with hat and glasses?
That look like the guy who looked after the publishing. He is in the Get Back movie.

John is great. But old Stones material is far better.

That’s why they’re called home recordings. And they’re screwing around, which they did throughout the years.
What’s it like being profoundly mentally ill?
