    Great video! I was also curious about how often should I water the plants?

    • @BathGardenCenter

      It is difficult to say exactly how much to water, as this will depend very much on how warm the weather is, where they are located, pot size, etc. We recommend feeling the soil, and it if the top inch is dry to the touch, its time to water! When you water, be sure to water thoroughly and let the excess water drain out the bottom. Checking the soil several times per week especially during the heat of the summer is recommended!

    Whens the best time of day to water? The leaves on my gerainiums looking wiltery

    • @BathGardenCenter
      @BathGardenCenter  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! It is always best to water in the morning! This gives them enough time to soak up the moisture they need before the heat sets in. The leaves still may look a little wilted during the hottest part of the day, but this is likely just the plant conserving energy. If they don't perk back up when the day cools down, give them a little more water!

    My geraniums have stopped flowering, I have them in a pot outside, high desert, 90-100 degrees during the day. How can I make it flower again?

    • @BathGardenCenter

      Hello! Your geraniums could very well be experiencing heat stress if they are sitting in direct sun and its been around 100 degrees consistently. We would recommend moving them to a slightly cooler area, if possible, where they still receive around 6 hours of sunlight per day. Also, apply a fertilizer with high NPK numbers, eg 20-20-20. This, paired with slightly cooler temperatures, should encourage your geraniums to start blooming again! It is also helpful to deadhead the plant once blooms are spent. This will encourage the plant to put energy towards producing more blooms instead of putting energy towards seed production. Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Is it ok if I don't use fertilizer at all? 🤔

    • @BathGardenCenter
      @BathGardenCenter  11 месяцев назад

      It is not required that you use fertilizer on your annual flowers, however they may begin to look scraggly, dull, or unhealthy if they lack the nutrients necessary to grow strong and healthy and vibrant. We recommend fertilizing to get the most out of your annual plants, though that is a decision that is completely up to you!

      @@BeccaL2016 Great! If they dont start to bloom in a couple of weeks, definitely consider fertilizing them. Fertilizers high in phosphorous are generally good for stimulating blooming. Best of luck!!
