    Hi Amanda
    Nice job demonstrating Snagit. For over 20 years I Taught Computer Science at a community college and used Camtasia which is also made by TechSmith to create software demonstrations.
    Thank you.

      @@AmandaHorvath Yeah, it's so surprising how you think you know a product or app but then it's only when you deep dive into the features and watch tutorials do you realize what all one can do with it. I've had the same feeling and experience with a whole bunch of tools that I've been using for my video podcast series, so I know exactly what you're talking about :) Thanks again for this, Amanda!

    Excellent video. very straight forward and easy to follow without sophisticated technical processes to do. Few click and you are done. Want to make it better, add few more feature with several other click and you're done.

    Love this video Amanda. I have been using Snagit and Camtasia for a long time but I hadn't been using Snagit for all of my video captures. Thanks for that tip. And the new template feature with 2021 looks super handy. I love the tagging too!! I might need to upgrade.

    I have been using SnagIt for years, but I still didn't know about a couple of features you mentioned.
    I really love using it to capture notes from video courses - you can set a key combo to capture screens and paste into your notes, and another combo to capture and extract text - then you can just paste it as pure text. It even captures formatting.

    Hi Amanda, I just came across your channel and have been loving your videos. I am launching an online course/paid membership site and I have been looking for a good but economical screen capture platform with picture-in-picture (I like the dynamism of them seeing the instructor while viewing the slides). I recently subscribed to Screencast-O-Matic but feel that there is something else out there without the upgraded cost of Camtasia just yet. Do you have any recommendations??? Thank you and love your work. Keep it up.

Where do you suggest I start to learn more about Snagit and its features. i did not grow up in the age of computers so what takes a young person a few minutes to learn takes me a lot longer. Thanks

  • @pjakpaita1

    Hi Amanda Horvath, thanks for such an informative video. I have Camtasia 8 and I purchased Snagit at the same time. I never used Snagit, so I can dive into it. I am interested in knowing about your microphone. Can you tell me specifically what the name of it is. I looked at a Blue Yetti; however, it did NOT have the round device with it. I want exactly what you have, the tripod and all, can you tell me what it is . I see the items you referenced above but not sure what is what, I will order from the link you provide if I can understand what to get. Thanks in advance, Priscilla

    • @AmandaHorvath
      @AmandaHorvath  3 года назад +1

      Hey! Great question. Use the link in the description to get the blue yeti (and make sure it's the same one) then amazon will usually recommend a boom arm and pop screen (the round device). Those are suuuper affordable parts and I didn't get any specific brand for those so just search "boom arm for blue yeti" and "pop screen for blue yeti" and you should be good to go!

    The "artist" in designing various software have declined dramatcly over the past 10 - 15 years / impact of the new generations in this business, with "copy / paste" use from other designers. All has the blody same bulky / ugly design...like MS office 365 (which not so many realise, but office 365 is actually downgraded software compared to the full / pro MS office 2010.
    Please, bring back the delicate & unique
    & now also with Snagit 2021 / 22, compared to Snagit 12 and earlier (not to say they don't have improvements in features / but bulky & not logical build up)... so sad
