Thanks for the video, very informative. How do you dispose of the used engine oil? Is there any good way to dispose of it without much environmental impact?
I always see the price vs performance. So value for the money spent is to be noted always. Gulf is more than enough, there will be better oil in the market always. But for the money we pay what we get matters👍
Hello, I'm facing a issue that is too much noise from tappets. Even if it adjusted to right measurements again for every 400-500 km the same problem arise again and again. if you have any solution or suggestions please do let me know. (xpulse200 fi)
nice.. im planning to use 10w40 / 15w40 on my next oil change..for reducing sound noise and for long rides, yes 10w30 Hero oil is not very satisfying..
@@oldschoolmotorcycleinc When your engine is in cold contition, the oil takes time to circulate. It result in more wear and tear. 85% of engine wear is happening when it is running in cold contition below operating temperature. Our bikes atleast takes 15 mins or 10kms to reach operating temp. At that time, the engine will wear more, also due to thick oil, friction increases, average decreases. It I'll affect your engine in longterm usage. So next time, please use 10w40.
Can i go for motul 4T 5100 10w30 or 10w40 semisynthetic ? & does bs6 make any difference in oil grade? does changing the spark plug to iridium one's will make any difference? & What km do you recommend should i go off of company oil?
I recommend to use the same 10w30 grade, works great. Get a good semi synthetic oil. Any brand which has good reputation will do the job. We are using G-Power from NGK (CPR8EA-GP 9), please don't expect power or some major refinement improvement due to sparkplugs. Iridium or platinum lasts longer than copper. But it's worth it, with respect to maintenance. Never stick with hero's shitty oil change schedule. Get the oil replaced every 4000 to 5000kms. Changing at 5k keeps the engine clean without any gunk or sludge formation. Swap to better oil once your run in is over say 7k or 10k kms.
Hero does not recommend doing anything on your own. Just pay the service center for bad service :P Btw, I have changed the oil before without opening the engine case and it was fine for me. However on the 2nd oil change I plan to open it to properly clean. I was just at the service center today to buy gaskets, the mechanics there also always open the entire engine for oil changes. I saw all the bikes in there with open cases being serviced.

Dont be fooled by what this guy says..i have a karizma zmr driven for 63487kms, Glamour driven for 40986kms and xpulse driven for 15724kms..The better grade is 10w40, Fully synthetic.. The best is 1)Shell Ultra 10w40 fully synth with pure plus technology 2) Mobil 1 4T fully synth 10w40..The engine becomes cooler, gearshifts smoother,+5-7 kms increase in kmz if you drive below 50 at higest gear, engine becomes more responsive ,oil does not evaporate like mineral oil so less top up and can last you for 4000-5000 kms..for better performance ,you can add iridium spark plugs and an injector/fuel cleaner like liqui moly 2t shooter once in 4 months with 9 liters petrol.
