I agree you don't need the tune. I got the tune for cylinder deactivation only since I have an aftermarket exhaust. Side note, the tune from Livernois is able to have the speed limiter disabled so you can go past 100mph. Just went to Nebraska and had miles of open road to test. I was able to get it to 120mph and then the speedometer stopped climbing even though my rpm's where still rising. I assume I was going above 120mph but would need a GPS to verify. Maybe next time.
Badass. Definitely worth it for $800 to get 6-7mph. I may have to get a tune on mine. Mine stock is a touch quicker than your stock (5.82 0-60mph and 14.02@96 with Dragy) so hopefully I am right there with you. I also have a 22 SCREW Lariat.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, now that I'm getting into this more I see that my original stock runs are actually not impressive at all. Have fun out there!
Nice, mines all stock as well, except it has 34inch tall Nitto Ridge Grapplers. 2022 Platinum 4x4 super crew 5.0, 3.73 gears. Just did a couple runs today, on 93 octane got 5.82 seconds 0-60 And 13.96 seconds 1/4mile at 99.49mph. Next I will try E85 👍🏻
Nice run, I also have a 2021 F150 5.0 Livernois tuned truck. Mine is a RCSB XL 3 73 4×4 . My best run so far in 90 degree heat on E85 is 13.06 at 104.96.
That's really fast for a pickup truck if you ask me. I'm a rookie, but it seems like some sports cars from 15 years ago weren't much faster than that. Thanks for watching!
Sounded like it short-shifted into 3rd a little early. Probably could've helped the times a little. Maybe a little tire spin on the shift to 2nd made traction control bump it to 3rd early. Still great times though.
Would depend on gas tank capacity and driving habits but without question, E85 will give you fewer miles per tank than even 87 octane. Ethanol burns hotter but contains less heat energy per gallon so the MPG will be much lower. My best guess would be 500 miles for you.
Thank you for this video, still learning here. We have a 2023 f150 with the 5.0 and really like it. I'm surprised how quick it is stock on crappy 87 regular gas. We have e85 here in town, can i put E-85 in or mix half E85 and 87 together on the stock tune? Wasn't sure if these are flex fuel auto sensing? Thanks in advance for you help.
You don't need the tune at all and can run straight E-85 or any other mixture, the truck will adjust on its own. My truck manual recommends 91 octane only so I avoid 87 all together. Suggestion, run your tank all the way down and figure out how many gallons of space you have in the tank. Then, take that number and divide by 3 and put that number of gallons of E-85 in and top it off with 91 octane(no ethanol) premium fuel. The cost total of the tank total near the same as 87 and certainly less than 91 alone, you should get almost the same gas mileage, and after 30 minutes of driving you should notice a power increase. Then put it in sport mode and have fun!
The stock runs of 6.46s 0-60mph and 14.64s 1/4mi were bone stock with whatever fuel the truck was filled up with at the dealership. The run in this video was with a Livernois Motor Sports performance tune and 70% ethanol gasoline. It also had an S&B cold air intake and Flowmaster muffler modification. Hope that helps!
Don't even need a tune. Stock on e85 is crazy fast. I was neck and neck with a Honda Civic type r all the way to 100mph. Darn fuel cut off 😢
I was wondering about that. They say the difference in stock performance is very noticeable between 87 and 93 and definitely WOW with E85.
@@BamaTidefan1967 yep
@frederickdouglass7517 yes there's a learning curve though. It can take up to 40 miles for the timing to be fully added on the relearn process.

@danimalshouse all tuners disable the speed limiter. Yes, the truck only reads to 120mph when tuned, but it's not limited.
Extremely impressed with the result. Thank you
Thank you too! I was shocked.
Awesome, I’m going to have to try this out. I just got my Livernois tune back from the guys today.(thanks for your helpful video on that too!)
Have fun!

With 87 octane I can get up to 560 miles on a full tank. How many miles do E85 gives? I have a 2017 5.0 F150 super crew 2wd

So your stock runs were off the show room stock or with mods or tuned?
This is consistent with what a intake tune e85 truck does.

@@danimalshouse gotcha. Yeah my 2020 4x4 crewcab runs 12.8-12.9 draggy times. Had Ported gt manifold ram air intake and e85. In horrible AZ weather.
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you. I was surprised at the results myself
@@danimalshouse good content. I learn some good things from you.
