Lí-hó Kyoko. This has always been my favourite song since i first heard it when i was very young. Even though i couldn't speak a word of Japanese i just loved the melody and it always made me smile. Now when i hear it i can sing along as i know the words off by heart, though i still don't actually speak the language. Also now even as i smile my eyes often fill with tears as i think of the fate of Kyu Sakamoto. But at the same time the tears are also of happiness as i think of all the joy he gave to people all around the world with this song. I once read that he was often called 'The Happiest man in the world' as he always had a huge smile on his face. I want to thank you for your lovely recording of this song as it always brings me joy to hear people from all different countries enjoying it. I was about to say you will be my first singer from Taiwan that i follow. But then i suddenly remembered that of course the greatest Asian singer of all times came from your shores. (Deng Li-yun) Teresa Teng, who had the most beautiful female voice i have ever heard. So you will officially become my 2nd favourite Taiwanese performer.
