Big Ben was ready on that play, it was one of those “I CANNOT mess up!” plays, he knew he could NOT let Nick Harper get past him so he did that and waited for the right time to make the tackle, that’s what you call CLUTCH

Even if Ben missed, no way would Harper have got past #84. He would have tackled him at 5:49!

I guess you could say Mike Vanderjagt "kicked" himself out of Indianapolis with that way-wide-right kick.

He was the smuggest kicker in football at the time, absolutely in love with himself for kicking FGs on turf in a dome, and came up small at the biggest possible time. Hilarious.

What a difference a year makes.
Big Ben looked shaky in the divisional playoffs last year vs. the Jets. Looked like a much different QB this time.

Well, he was a rookie in 04. He was just a year wiser.

If you from Pittsburgh you all remember 2005 AFC playoffs when Jerome Bettis fumbled somebody died from a heart attack on Southside

The Steelers changed their game plan for the Colts as they saw them earlier the year
The Colts 14-2 thought their PA would tear the Steelers instead the Steelers were playing Cover 4 Zone and Manning just could not get Harrison open and once Manning figured out the defense it was too late

I'll never understand why Nick Harper didn't just race Ben to the sideline. A race he would have easily won and a TD scored. The FG attempt would have been a moot point. Yet, for some reason he turns back towards the middle where the only shot Ben had at a tackle was there. He also ran towards the middle of the field where the Tight end was. Makes no sense.

He definitely should’ve raced to the sideline but I think he got tunnel vision and was trynna follow that block he had also I don’t think he seen the TE behind him but I could be wrong

Worst loss of the Manning era in Indy! The Colts were the best team in football & the Patriots had been eliminated by the Broncos the night before...COLTS CHOKED!
