@@Commonwolfcrypto we're not talking about 20 Bama or 19 LSU here. this OSU team isn't an all time team, regardless of the price they paid to assemble the team. they are beatable any saturday, as they've shown.
@ you sound big mad that everyone is saying this could be the best team ever assembled. This is the nil era baby. Your team spent more than the Buckeyes. @ your team spent more nil and yet you’re salty they aren’t as good.😂 talk to ESPN. They are the ones saying its a historic team. Lsu never played the gauntlet of talent OSU has had to play. Bama in 2020 was the only team that played a full season. OSU only played 6 games before the natty which isn’t enough time to develop.
How was ND favored 2nd to win it all. Beat GA who beat TX twice. Tx was one play from tying the game. And they are 8pt underdog...really.. smh.. this will be 24 to 17 ND... who makes that last play
Its been brought up in the media since the tennessee game, and there 3-0 so far. The biggest mis match coming up is n.d losing it's starting l.t. Ohio states edge rushers are gonna have a field day on n.d qb and will be getting pressure with just the front 4. And dropping 7 back. N.d's b is not really good with guys not blitzing at hin. His completion rate vs a normal pass rush is terrible
@@zeuscaseyhis completion rate sucks because if you only send 4, it’s way too easy for him to tuck it and run. You’ve played decent running qbs, you haven’t played one like Leonard
@@linktown-blue907Id actually say that Nico is very very similar to Leonard. Nico ran extremely hard vs Ohio State. He was constantly falling forward and keeping drives alive. The only difference is Nico is a better passer then Leonard. So while I think Leonard is very good in the QB run game. I don't think Ohio State will be afraid of his arm enough to lighten the box.
I’m an Ohio St fan and I’m picking the Buckeyes to win,but I honestly think ND can win this game and the score you predicted is the kind of game I think it will take. I just don’t see the Irish scoring over 20 points against that defense. Good luck
Georgia beat Texas twice ND beat Georgia Texas kept it close with Ohio State All the talk about Ohio State blowing ND out won't happen. Both teams have really good defense, so I expect a hard fought football game. My prediction is that ND will lose, but they cover the +8.5
@user-zu5cw5bc3w They didn't have their starting QB in the second half of the game against Texas, and Georgia was losing. That backup, QB brought them back and won the game. You clearly must not watch football.
He is still on third base. Couldn’t beat Michigan and he only got an opportunity to win a national championship because they let just anybody in the playoffs now.
No envy for your position of having to make a pick for a game like this. That said, OSU to win but not cover is about the safest, reasonable and agreeable pick you could make for this game, but it still doesn't matter. My prediction is: Notre Dame and anti-OSU freight train incoming for the comment section. As for the actually game? I have OSU -13.5 which I thought was decent value at +200. Anything can happen though, so we'll see.
Yes maybe ND playing man isn’t as big of an advantage as people think. But it can also show that they haven’t played a passing offense quite like osu. I mean the best passing offenses they played were Indiana and Georgia, one was on their backup Qb and the other teams QB was on a torn ACL from what we found out. Idk how smart it would be for them to come out in man at the percentage they do because it only takes 1.
He MIGHT struggle, but one thing we know for sure is that Riley Leonard is gonna leave it all on the field this week like he’s done all season - he’s won over Irish fans by sacrificing his body and doing whatever it takes for his team to prevail. As long as he makes the important throws on 3rd downs to extend drives and avoids turning it over, this Irish team should be fine.
I am an ND Fan, but if Ohio plays 10 times against ND, they will win at least 9 times. Ohio is the favorite and will win by 21 points. Let's face it: We don't have a team to compete against Ohio. We had too many vital players out with health problems, and Ohio is really more physical, intense, and talented than us. Being the runner-up was a great accomplishment for ND and Marcus Freeman.
Get that Brian kelly "woe is me, I don't have good enough players." Mindset out of here. Ohio state DOES NOT outclass notre dame at all. Wouldn't be surprised if ohio state wins, but I also wouldn't be surprised if notre dame wins.
OSU fan in disguise here, no real ND fan feels this way. This team is different, they have only given up more than 24 points once the entire year, they play tough defense and run the ball, no one is blowing them out by 21
Agree'd. People counting out ND after this season are insane. And we've seen how easily OSU can squander games, such as against UO the first game, Nebraska, PSU, MI, TX, etc. They're not by ANY means an all-time great team, like 19 LSU or 20 Bama. Am I the only one that isn't nuts predicting ridiculous scores? This will be a DOGFIGHT until the end, & it wouldn't suprise me one bit either way. I'm actually sensing a ND win with the way the media is lapping up OSU all week. Gonna be scrappy & a banger of a game.
"I dont think they cover, i have to much respect for Notre Dame to think they will cover" And basically predicts the win to be 0.5 less the spread😂 Okay buddy
big question is can OSU handle a running qb they haven’t played a running QB all year and leonard is as good as they come in that department. If OSU sends guys to account for leonard it leaves a big mismatch for love against anyone 1 on 1
I think for ND to win, they will: have to have at least a decently successful running game to maintain possession and run some clock; take some shots downfield; win the turnover battle by 2+; get some short fields; play very strong on defense and have the defense score a touchdown on an interception, fumble or blocked kick. I know, it's a laundry list. OSU's talent outclasses everyone in college football, but they can be beaten. I hope we get a well-played hard-hitting game that is decided in the final minutes. Since Michigan, OSU has really elevated their game so they will be very tough to beat, but ND will show up and make them earn it. Good luck Buckeyes. Go Irish!
@@ivismoniz7209 so Notre Dame was supposed to be scoring more than Texas and Tennessee and Oregon. And they are also supposed to be able to stop Ohio State’s defense when none of those other teams could. lol
For ND to win they have to establish the ground game, because they need to keep OSU offense on the sideline and eat clock. They will need to win the turnover battle as well. Run the ball and stop the run will be necessary. If these things happen, then I could see ND having a legit shot at winning. However, and I'm an ND fan, I still don't see this game going ND's way, but it can be close. Vegas knows what they're doing. Stop listening to the mouthpieces at ESECPN and other outlets. Go Irish!
Theres two critical stats in ND favor. 3rd down conversion. Our D has a 5%+ vs OSU of stopping 1st downs on 3rd down. 4th down is better too. But our creating turnovers is much better too. We need turnovers to be in our favor and hold OSU to under 200 yds passing.
I got Buckeyes winning 28-10. As good as Notre Dame is, this OSU defense has been on another level and I do not believe Riley Leonard is good enough to compensate for it. I could see this being a 14-7 OSU lead at the half, then OSU borderline shuts them out in the second half. If Ohio State can run for the kind of yards Penn State did against Notre Dame, then this game could be blown wide open and be much worse, maybe more like 42-14 OSU, but I am sticking with I think this will be a hard fought game with the Buckeyes winning solidly, but not a blowout.
You’re underestimating the notre dame defense, if you struggled with the Texas secondary wait till you see notre dames, I still think the buckeyes will win as a ND fan but it will be close
What ND line shows up? I know they're decimated by injuries & all, but they DOMINATED GA's line, who is a team filled with 15 5*'s, the same as OSU. If that strong, dominant, blazing fast to the ball ND shows up, ND wins, rather convincingly, OSU won't know what hit them. ND doesn't contain the perimeter, it'll be a long night. Allen & Singleton did what they did, not BECAUSE of PSU's offense or scheming, but in spite of it. Their line & offense was being plugged constantly, & Allen/Singleton would break contain everytime. ND's LB'ers did a terrible job of plugging behind, setting the edges, & were playing downhill too fast without following the ball. Then they took terrible angles & had their worst tackling game of the season, per PFF.
@@alexpergjoni4880usc put 35 on ND with a backup QB and 360 yards and 3 TD. U haven’t played another offense like that especially a good passing offense. Unless it’s 2001 Miami, 2011 LSU, or 2023 Michigan secondary those ohio state WRs can’t be locked down for 4 quarters.
We shall see...... hard to argue with what all you said here -- difference being I do think OSU is going to cover just like the other 3 worthy opponents -- and in grand style ! Knowles D comes up big again 27 -- 17 and Will Howard doing enough to get the job done !!! * BUCKEYES *
ND has been great at keeping their cool and at getting better as the games goes on. OSU was in command of UT and then they weren't. Why? They were outplayed. If OSU they hadn't burned two pass interference penalties at the end of the game, UT would have scored and been in control of the game. OSU won't win if they play like that again. ND will lose if they beat themselves like they did against Northern Illinois.
Only Oregon has scored more than 17 this yr vs OSU. ND does not have the offense to match that. ND will need points on special teams and or defense to have a chance. Otherwise Buckeyes win by at least a dozen
bro oregon would walk circles around nd i think texas would to. this is gonna be a massacre but all these analysts are hyping it up because they don’t want another georgia vs tcu game. i gave texas credit and i was genuinely nervous to play them the same way i was for oregon. but nd feels like Tennessee. good defense terrible offense. light work for the buckeyes
@@justchillin4065ironic knowing Georgia put up more points on Texas the both times they played than what they put on ND And ND was missing half its defense 💀 Sit down bud ND has better defense than Texas
The "what if" game works both ways. Sure the screen pass added 75 yards to Howard's passing total, but if Egbuka, Tate, and JJ Smith catch the very catchable balls they dropped, he throws for over 350 yards. OSU 35, ND 13
What if Texas caught the three easy picks that Howard threw in the first quarter? OSU's defense played great. That is why you won that game. The offense was crappy and that 75 yard screen pass was pure luck for you guys. It was only because of a completely blown job by the defense. Every deep defender took the exact same angle directly into the linemen.
ND leads football in turnover recovery, which makes this game really hard to predict since turnovers are really hard to predict. With that being said I'm gonna call 31-20 Buckeyes.

Nico and Gabriel are both running QBs, you saw what we did to them
I feel Ohio State handled Nico decently well as well as Gabriel, but Ohio State has historically been poor vs mobile QBs.

For the OSU fans calling out ND getting some easy games to inflate defensive numbers
All college teams play bad to mediocre teams. Do you think any of your wins compare vs some of the wins OSU has and what teams would you consider equal or close to some of the top teams OSU has played and won? I don't see any teams you played that most would consider great offensive team.

Glad Notre Dame won, it’ll be a closer game against OSU
38-17 Ohio State 😎😎😎
I am so glad OSU and the national media are so confident. The rat poison can only help ND
No way does ohio state put up 38 points they be lucky to get 20 points 23 to 20 notre dame go irish
Lucky to get 20 is hyperbolic.
@andrewbegin1802 we gotten 20 plus points in every game in the playoffs and we will get 20 plus points on Monday as well. Notre dame is only allowing 16.9 points per game so do with that what you will.
Eh, I can see a mid 20's game for OSU.
28-24ish type score.
My prediction is Michigan 13 and ohio 10.
Do you think the ND secondary is better than the Texas secondary?
Hell no
Nope
Yes it is by far
Yall don't know anything about this team lol We have the highest rated secondary in the country...

Good thing Ohio State has the better O line and D line. So, what's your point?
Ewers is not a good QB. What a bold prediction.
Great analysis.
I don’t think JD Pickell picked ND after the IU game. Time to eat crow again lol
17-14 ND wins. Boring game unless defense gets the juices flowing
Lol. No way. 😂😂😂
OSU is the only team that can beat OSU. ND will have to play a perfect game and OSU will need to suck. That’s their road to winning.
Few teams will ever go undefeated in this new era just like the nfl. You better hope we don’t win or it will definitely be the greatest run in history. In the meantime just stay at home and reminisce about the regular season where teams like yours belong. Cope harder. Yall big mad.
@ your team spent more nil and yet you’re salty they aren’t as good.😂 talk to ESPN. They are the ones saying its a historic team. Lsu never played the gauntlet of talent OSU has had to play. Good analysis watered down conclusion. Be bold.
a potential mismatch not being addressed in any media is how will ohio states banged up o line be able to handle this defense
@TiTosTheName23 I'm sure Penn State said the same thing, them 267 Passing yards later and a W😂
@zeuscasey You forget we faced the BEST edge defensive player with Abdul Clark at Penn State game. I think we'll be fine. 😂

ND16-13
I’m an Ohio St fan and I’m picking the Buckeyes to win,but I honestly think ND can win this game and the score you predicted is the kind of game I think it will take. I just don’t see the Irish scoring over 20 points against that defense. Good luck
Georgia beat Texas twice
ND beat Georgia
Texas kept it close with Ohio State
All the talk about Ohio State blowing ND out won't happen. Both teams have really good defense, so I expect a hard fought football game.
My prediction is that ND will lose, but they cover the +8.5
Notre Dame beat Georgia when Georgia didn't have their starting QB. Your comparison is not apples to apples.
@user-zu5cw5bc3w They didn't have their starting QB in the second half of the game against Texas, and Georgia was losing. That backup, QB brought them back and won the game. You clearly must not watch football.

@ how many wins against Michigan? 10-13 probably right
Honestly, Texas held them, had them. OSU got a lucky break. Dodged a bullet.
ND by 10+
Texas played great but OSU absolutely had more of an impact on their inability to score. The penalties stalled drives more than Texas defense
Texas never lead in the game. How did they “have” them?
Texas would have been favored against ND if they were to meet in playoffs
GO IRISH
OSU is a better team...hope they play like it.
If we were healthy, we'd win. But we're not.
Even with half our team injured I still think we keep it close.
It's interesting how obvious the outcome will be. Not saying ND can't pull the upset, but its weird that the natty feels like an underdog game
Riley Leonard is going to strugggggggggggggle
He MIGHT struggle, but one thing we know for sure is that Riley Leonard is gonna leave it all on the field this week like he’s done all season - he’s won over Irish fans by sacrificing his body and doing whatever it takes for his team to prevail.
As long as he makes the important throws on 3rd downs to extend drives and avoids turning it over, this Irish team should be fine.
He’s going to have a long night.
@@thebeerhunter98HAHAHAHHAHA😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 should be fine losing by 17 instead of 30 maybe
@ Don’t go betting your lunch money on that happening, kid😂

I am an ND Fan, but if Ohio plays 10 times against ND, they will win at least 9 times. Ohio is the favorite and will win by 21 points. Let's face it: We don't have a team to compete against Ohio. We had too many vital players out with health problems, and Ohio is really more physical, intense, and talented than us. Being the runner-up was a great accomplishment for ND and Marcus Freeman.
Ohio is not playing
Get that Brian kelly "woe is me, I don't have good enough players." Mindset out of here. Ohio state DOES NOT outclass notre dame at all. Wouldn't be surprised if ohio state wins, but I also wouldn't be surprised if notre dame wins.
I’m so glad fans like you aren’t playing the game. You people are the type that freeman is saying he doesn’t want in the program
OSU fan in disguise here, no real ND fan feels this way. This team is different, they have only given up more than 24 points once the entire year, they play tough defense and run the ball, no one is blowing them out by 21
@@getcloveryourself I agree. ND is tough.
Go Irish!
I got 🙆♂️state by 3 I think it's going to go down to the wire
Did you know that 23 out of 26 teams that won the natty since the BCS started also covered the spread?
they counting out ND in these commend and they about to show out.
big question is can OSU handle a running qb they haven’t played a running QB all year and leonard is as good as they come in that department. If OSU sends guys to account for leonard it leaves a big mismatch for love against anyone 1 on 1
I don't think this is going to make it out of the swallows !!! And OSU will more than cover !
ND will have trouble scoring. Ohio State has the offense to still get you 24+ against ND. It’ll be 23-10 OSU wins
Go Irish!
Notre dame 27- the nut university 13
@@ivismoniz7209 so Notre Dame was supposed to be scoring more than Texas and Tennessee and Oregon. And they are also supposed to be able to stop Ohio State’s defense when none of those other teams could. lol
Why do they score less pts per game if they are so superior?
@@jordannichols8338ND does score more than each of those teams, bud. Look it up if you are capable
Yea I strongly doubt it!!
All I hear about is stopping JJ. That's not a banner your fan base will hang if Ohio State still wins 🤷

How is ND going to score 26 vs this O State Defense? I just don't see it. Give them a defensive score and I still don't see it.

Every deep defender took the exact same angle directly into the linemen.
. ND offense against PSU looked pretty scrappy too.
OSU won't score 35. ND won't score 13.
