WOW! They never investigated if someone at the school was hurting this child. 5 year olds are scared of the world, so for him to run away and not want to go back that bad were kids at that age play in school all day is a RED FLAG.

@ he is 5 u halfwit. He had no clue what a computer is worth. Must kids that age don't know how to communicate well so they use actions. On the other side i that, these officers are grown and acting like morons. If they treat a 5 year old like this, wonder how they treat the public.

If the students walk out the teachers cannot harm them or do anything but follow them yet if the child had an accident or incident the mom will be devastated nobody want to look at the before it happened they just want to make accusations half of them probably don't have kids and if they did their child probably acts this way too there's nothing wrong with him other than he can't get his way and there is no reason you don't want nobody hit in you so how is it that it's clearly something wrong with him when the teacher said she would never let anyone harm them I don't understand that man y'all better watch that video a little boy needs help he need discipline and he need to keep his hands to itself

I'm pretty sure I heard the teacher say it's against policy to chase the kids if they do make it off grounds and I believe one of them specified every time they came closer to him he got further away. When he got to the corner of a well-known Street to the school that people in vehicles don't do a full stop at, the decision was made to call for additional assistance.
All good points but I also see that he needs one-on-one and not the fact that a teacher has to take 20 kids at the same time someone's throwing a tantrum obviously this whole situation is chronic. It won't matter on how many different teachers how many different schools.
But what do I know all I did was watch a video & gave my opinion!
**Despite my opinions being in favor for the family, the (2) Officers could have handled this incident so much better than they did. I really believe that they made things worse and gave horrible advice to his mother. Definitely missed a huge opportunity to do some good instead of putting a tourniquet on a bleed with no blood!

Screaming and shouting at that child,he needed to be spoken to in a calm manner and try to find out what made him behave in the way he was accused of doing not to have threats thrown at him, shame on that pair and also the workers who took him in that room.nothing funny about your reminiscing when you were a child. Why are they telling her to beat her child when they should know different the Teachers needs to go back and do training on how to manage children behaviour.

Well…the officers are separate from the school…so I don’t think his problem lies there. They handled it terribly but the school definitely was putting things in place. They were scheduled to have a manifestation meeting the following day…I think mom just needs some help and consistency with discipline that aligns better with the school’s expectations. The cops will have no positive effect on him for sure, but I don’t see how the school is to blame for his behavior. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@susie Jordon - I thought the same thing at first, if only they were a little more patient with the child.. but the more I thought about it, I think the cops were trying to use a “scared straight” sort of method on him by being verbally aggressive bc he had been in trouble before for destroying property, getting violent with others.. and had absolutely no consequences from his mom. I’m sure those cops have done their job long enough to know when they see the signs of a spoiled child. He was rather bold towards the cops at first and refused to listen. If one method repetitively doesn’t work then they have to try something else. If I had to guess, the child probably doesn’t have any discipline or consequences for bad behavior within the home. If it’s all he knows at the age of 5, (constantly getting his own way) then he’s going to act the same outside of the home and do whatever the heck he wants! Did you hear the mom on the phone rewarding her child’s bad behavior with the promise of a new toy? The cops weren’t the problem, the child isn’t the problem.. it’s the mama who has an issue and if she doesn’t make some changes very soon God help her when that kid is a teenager!

the 5 years old ask the teachers aide (you can barely hear, off camera in the background, while the 2 police officers are trash talking about him- which I suppose is why so many missed hearing that)
---> *in between sobs* : "thank you for keeping me safe" to which the teachers aide answered clearly and audibly ---> "you're welcome, I will always keep you safe"....WHICH MEANS WHAT IT MEANS, SOMETHING IS GOING ON IN SECRET FOR SURE WITH THE MAIN TEACHER, THAT MRS RICHARDSON WOMAN! she must be saying and doing evil things to him in front of the class, he's probably the little school scapegoat and he most likely took it so much that now he's backed into a corner where he is acting out in retaliation, it's aaaall coming out, and it's coming out WORSE each time. He didn't start to cry until he saw he was being put in the police car. instead of walking the child 10 steps to school the cops threw him in the back of a police car he started screaming as soon as he was grabbed up and put forceable in the car. Reminds me of when I was a kid, I was acting out the same exact way and people treated me the same way. Finally as an adult I told my mom WHY I was acting that way and she said she thought I was just being disobedient. I’m pregnant now and I refuse to treat my kid like this, I will ask what’s actually going on , kids don’t just act like that for no reason. My reasons were that I was being bullied and was treated badly by my teachers, and I felt depressed at school and miserable I hated it, so I’d rather run away or act out then to go. I ended up dropping out of school because of how bad it made me feel.
