Sad to hear about your nieces and nephews, and sad your brother abandoned them, but im grateful that you and Brian and stepping up for them, these are innocent children and need to feel loved and wanted. God does not sleep, he knows all and see's all, you will be blessed. Food is meant to be shared.

in your place you have a playground for herbs and plants, there are many plants that repel mosquitoes, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, mint and catnip. The advantage of lavender is that it not only helps repel mosquitoes, but it also ensures that you sleep better. create a garden with anti-mosquito plants around the house. study more about herbs that are very medicinal. about your nieces that is the Philippine way it is normal that you take care of family

you are doing the right thing you always feed family ,that's a great rule to live by when i lived in the Philippines I never turned away a family member for food, usually they would bring chicken or fish to cook, plus I raised 45 day chicks, and I would buy a piglet to raise, and would buy a sack of rice, every month we had jack fruit trees on the property, we would go to the pier early in the morning to buy fish from the fishermen when they would come in, for the most part we did pretty well as long as everyone pitched in.

What i learned by being in the province of bohol - is to be indoors around 5pm and resurface outside again after 7am. That way there are less bites - but definitely agree with you those mosquitos are a pain!

Very nice. Everyone looks healthier and happier, even the dogs. Is Batu OK, I haven't seen him.
They sell mosquito head nets, shirts, pants, and bed canopies. For regular clothing there's a chemical called pyrethrin that lasts for about 8 launderings.

Hi Lot, thanks for the vid.
Re: the mosquitos, try to plant lemongrass (tanglad or salay) near the house. Plant them in an area which has lots of sunlight. Lemongrass repels mosquitos. When you have the leaves, you can boil the leaves, put the "tea" (sabaw) in a small bottle with sprayer and spray on your skin.
Re: your nieces & nephews, maybe you can tell your nephew (the one studying criminology) that he should not marry/ have kids yet until one or 2 of his siblings finish school. Then the next sibling will assist the younger one. That's how it's done in Filipino families. Kaya nyo yan! 😊
Btw, re: vegetables, you can go to the munisipyo (agriculture dept) and ask for seeds. That dept usually gives out seeds (pechay, sitaw, etc) for free to people - it's in their budget & it's from taxpayers' money. (as least that's how it is in my town)
All the best to you & yours.

Lots of MOSQUITOS over here in MINDANAO also, the last room I rented had so many mosquitos getting inside and jabbing me during my SLEEP😫 I'm glad I moved, I sleep good now, except for all the ANTS crawling on me😖
You should get the CITRONELLA coils and burn them like incense, keeps mosquitos away and smells good😁
Plus I got these small packets of LOTION from LAZADA that works really good also, only costs about 10 peso for each packet, from the brand called SOFFELL, and comes in APPLE and orange scents, smells good also🤗

Lot. I just heard something you might want to hear. Regarding mosquitoes . I just hear a lady on a short video say Mix vanilla extract with water in a spray bottle for mosquito repellent. She took this advice from a lady and she added some cinnamon to it and it works . She said it works, it works, it works it works. Give it a try . Say hi to Brian for me. I wish I could share the video but I can't. Anyway that's the jist of it. Peace God Bless!

I sympathize with you about the mosquito bites. If we go to my wife's family home in a small town in Iloilo the bites on me from Mosquitoes and those tiny ants make me so glad to get back to San Fernando. I wish you and Brian the best out there because it's a huge change.

    Hello Lot,
I hope you are happy now in the province. I will try to help you with your top two problems. The first one being the mosquitoes, you should purchase about 10 Mosquito Zappers… (I hate to say it, but these zappers cost about $40 American each) Place them around the areas where you are staying the most and these will zap the mosquitoes pretty well, secondly your problem with a lot of noise: you can get some earplugs and put those in whenever the noise is stressing you out too much. I hope these things help you and I wish you and your family all the best.

One thing that comes to mind is, mosquitos hate garlic. If you can grow that there and incorporate into your meals (at least one a day) I think you'll see a vast improvement. Also, what you explained about Philippinos taking over their cousins & siblings children and raising them, makes sense to me because my neighbors are 2 Philippino sisters that were adopted by an aunt & uncle many years ago because both parents died.

1:37 did you try the scented body lotion? I used that and never got bit. We stayed in an open air place just like yours. This is years ago, cant remember the brand. Another great video- ❤🎉
7:57 They will return the favor by taking care of you/helping when you get older- both you and Brian
14:06 Did you ever do a video how you and Brian met? I think that would be an interesting story. Just an idea😊

Hey Lot. Greetings. I'm a new subscriber and I saw a couple of your videos: the atm problem and you getting a photo for the Phil Health card. I was wondering. Are you and Brian both members of Phil Health? And, maybe down there it is just easier to go into the bank rather than ATM to get money. Take care.

Your husband's a very lucky guy. He has such a good woman. Sweetie you guys don't have to explain your life or how you live it's no one's business. If they don't like it they don't have to watch your videos. You need to do more mosquito management. Such as don't leave any water sitting around the outside of the house like bowls of water hanging around on the ground or puddles of water sitting so mosquitos can't breed. And you may want to put up bat houses to control the mosquitoes population. Bats eat thousands of mosquitoes in one hour you can help the bat population in the Philippines because I hear the numbers of the bat population has gone down. I hear you say you do diving in the water? Do you have any videos of you under water? I think it would be interesting seeing you swimming underwater. Do you get things from under the water? It would be good to see you guys doing more activities like diving underwater when you have time. I know you guys are very busy getting your new house settled.✌️❤️🙏🙏🇺🇲

I think living with so many people around would be difficult for me to get used to also. I would be spending time at Brian’s private beach. lol You are doing great, going from big city life to province life is a BIG change for anybody. Once the house is fixed so you can run A/C you will be able to control mosquitoes better. Maybe you just taste too sweet and mosquitoes have a sweet tooth! 😁 Phil

Mosquitoes are about the environment. The place is good for them to breed. Deal with the breeding ground by cleaning and fumigation the area once a month. I live on Island here luckily the government fumigated the residential area every six months because of dengue.
