    I'm sorry. This is WAYNE COUNTY, IL, not Wabash County. Not sure how I made such a basic error, but I did!

      Tractor Time with Tim it’s actually understandable considering where we are located in Indiana....Wabash River, Wabash valley, Wabash county, city of Wabash...did that help 😉

      @Alanschmalzried 4 года назад +3

      And don’t forget...Wabash College that is neither in the city of Wabash or the county of Wabash Indiana🤣 I grew up in rural Wabash County Indiana and when I was in college everybody and their brother asked me why I didn’t “stay home and go to Wabash College?”

      Your mind just blocked it out, because Wayne County is where you had the trauma of buying a stolen tractor, right? And, if I'm guessing right, where that happened isn't all that far from this five acres. Bad Wayne County! 😸 😸

    Getting your dad to help with the ending is just special. A fun video to watch is others helping you with saying “Tractor Time with Tim”. Love the old wagon. My dad loved the Rambler station wagons when I was a teenager. He could take out several letters on the grill and it would spell our last name.

    I told Tom this story, but the short version is my Dad cleared a similar field in the early 80s, it was a wet hole that couldn’t drain. He dug out the ditches and got the water draining. As he watched the water flow out, he saw a small fish swim by. They passed the Swampbuster act the next year.

    I'm happy you got some farmin' time in with your Dad! Awesome! Good point about the difference in operation between the third function and the diverter. I loaded some heavy logs onto a trailer and really liked being able to open the clamps slowly to ensure placement using the diverter valve. I'm still very happy with my Artillian grapple and diverter.

      Tractor Time with Tim - I basically grew up in ‘em... they were all my mom had until just before I got my own driver’s license. We live on top of a fairly large hill; and back in the late ‘80s, it was totally unpaved. I still remember being in the far back of a Pontiac Parisianne wagon, with a v8, rear-wheel-drive, and an open differential; climbing that hill in a rainstorm and fishtailing all over the road. To this day I don’t know how she managed to keep it out of the ditches that run on either side of the road....
      I still like them better than SUVs... even with an old, low-powered v8 (well, compared to today’s 400+ hp monster v8s) and an open differential; they handle better and are actually more practical. I kinda wish they hadn’t gone the way of the dodo (and no, a Subaru doesn’t qualify - they’re nice cars, but too small).

You’ve already got the sun-shade installed; so you’re 75% of the way there... I highly recommend adding one.

    When you paint everything with a broad brush you are bound to miss the mark more than not. You said it, when you sit in Washington it would be hard to decide what is flood plane and what is good farmland. The river doesn't look like the Mississippi or Ohio. I too love the station wagon. When you regulate the family size cars and make everything compact it is no wonder we all drive SUVs and pickup trucks. Enough grumbling, the government does more good than bad so I will shut up now. Good to see Mom and Dad. Glad all are well. Thanks

    I am getting a Frontier 60" plow for my "still at the dealers" 2032R with FEL, I am waiting for them to put on the backhoe and for the Radial Tires to come in. They said I need the 3rd function installed, but it is back ordered. I wondered if I really need it. I had figured that I could set the plow straight up and disconnect its hoses to use to angle the plow. They said the hydraulics would drift, I think it would not, because the hoses are not connected to anything. What do you think Tim?

      I think they are correct. I have a loader mounted plow. I could not use it without the tilt/curl hooked up.

    Its always nice to see your parents in a video. Can you grow and cut hay on that land, or is that considered farming too?
