Not if you use a really good tactic ;) If you're not fully upgraded yet, use your fire bombs on him from a distance. When you run out of mana, shatter an ice pillar and hide behind the stump while Ice King sends ice shards. Break them and collect gems, jump over the next ice he sends through the floor, and repeat! It works pretty well!

it has a new round/new game plus system which can be loaded from the latest save data after the game was finished. You can also played with all breaths unlocked from the start. Similiar to resident Evil 4 when you load the data and start a new game with previous finished gamplay equipments
I started playing this again a month or so ago and in all honesty after many more years of gaming since I've played this last, some of the bosses...I have to use DARK SOULS strats! 😱 I love the challenge in these games but I understand how they can be too hard for some. I've beaten Dark Souls and the bosses in this game are challenging.

It's a different feeling. More like one of those hack and slash edgy games than the kid friendly platformer that was the original trilogy. But I heard it's good in its own right.

a reason why i love the legend line is because it truly shows spyros overwhelming destructive power as the dragon he is

Sparx's VA was just... way too laid back for his animations. Lip-syncing was a little off. The rest of the voices are fine.
