  • ENGLISH GRAMMAR made easy 😉
    Another, other, others and the other are extremely confusing words in English, but in this video I’m going to teach you the difference between the all of them with plenty of examples before finishing off with a quick quiz!
    ANOTHER + singular non-specific countable noun
    "Let's meet another day."
    "I'd like another piece of cake."
    Another = an other!
    OTHER + plural or uncountable non-specific noun
    "Other people have problems, too."
    "This book has other information."
    Some days I think you look nice, but other days I think I look fantastic.
    OTHERS is a pronoun. It can be used to take the place of the word other, followed by a plural countable noun. ? NO NOUN AFTER OTHERS
    "Those are oak trees; the others are pines."
    "Ten people belong to the group, and five others are planning to join."
    "Some people like classical music, while others prefer jazz."
    THE OTHER + specific noun (singular, plural, countable or uncountable)
    "I have two brothers. One of them lives in Canada. The other brother lives in Japan."
    I don't want this one, I want the other one.
    "I go to school on Monday and Tuesday. I work on the other days of the week."
    Okay, hopefully with these examples everything is clear and you've clarified any doubts you may have had regarding another, other, others and the other 🥳
    Thanks so much for watching, I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in the next video to keep learning and improving your English every day! 🇬🇧
