I had an epidural so no pain, but he got stuck behind my pelvic bone, and no matter the birthing position and pushing he eefused to come out, so forceps were nneeded Can you demonstrate something like that when you have time, please?
@@eclaire58 i was able to. The epidural only worked about 50%, which I actually liked because I could feel when I was contracting and could move my legs really well
Just to let you know in the side effects listed on an epidural, it mentioned forceps needing to be used as a result of phase 2 delivery being altered by epidural.
My baby was OA for MONTHS, until I was actually in labor. Little dude spun himself around to OP and I had to do inversions, baby sifting, etc. to get him to flip back over. It worked and he came out OA but it was very very frustrating having to be put into uncomfortable positions just to get him in the right position
That’s always horrible to reasonably expect one thing and another happen… I couldn’t imagine that with birth!! Also I’ve never heard of the term baby sifting before and I must say it gave me a giggle imagining an infant sifting flour
@@mariesmith9508 Haha, baby sifting is also known as ribozo. It's where the mom is on hands and knees and someone stands over her and uses a blanket to gently shake her belly side to side to encourage the baby to flip over
Can only speak for myself, but I didn't feel the baby coming out of 'the hole' so to speak. Just felt numb. The real pain is in the abdomen. Have you ever had a nasty cramp in your calf muscle? A really bad one, in the middle of the night for no reason? It feels like that, but in your entire abdomen/stomach. Horrifyingly painful.
10 hours in labor and had horrible back pain the whole time, and with no meds. I was trying so hard to do it without meds naturally. Then I had to get an emergency c-section due to complications with me and baby. Happened the same with both my kids. Now when I get brain freeze, I get it in my back like contractions. It's horrible. My husband has to rub my back to warm it up and make it go away. But it was worth all the pain. I love my babies.
All my four of my babies were OP, averaging 9+ lbs. each. All I remember is the back pain, and it felt as though they wanted to exit through my spine. No epidurals available to me in the 80’s. My husband rubbed my back so hard and for so many hours each time, that after delivery my back was a bruised mess. The nurses never showed him the proper way. However, we all survived and got some great kids.
I had a 9 lb baby and back labor too! I had gotten an epidural but those don't affect back labor, so I couldn't even move into a more comfortable position. It was awful. Baby is so worth it though.
i was in labor for 48 hours with back labor and it was the worst pain ive ever felt in my whole life! im so glad to have my baby though, he was worth it ♡
I wanted to go natural but the back labor was extremely intense and so I gave up and went with the epidural. 10/10 recommend for me aha. I began having contractions at 1 am so I got to sleep. Hallelujah!
Same thing happened to me, I was planning natural my whole pregnancy and then went through hours of back labor, got to 5cm and got the epidural, then slept and woke up to push, I loved the epidural 😂😂 the needle felt like a mosquito bite compared to contractions
Same, went through 25 hours of back labor after only making it to barely 3cm so I got the epidural, labor ended up being 35 hours long total. Don’t know why dilation was so slow or why I had back labor😭
My doctor was an asswhole and even though I was completely UNMEDICATED he wouldn't let me push in a position that was comfortable for me because he was too tall and "needed" the table to be too high up. My little one qas OA, so that helped, but I'm now experiencing prolapse with my first
My baby was facing frontside . We came to know in 32 weeks scan. I was super worried but my doctor didn’t think it was complicated at all, she said give it sometime baby might turn around itself. Boom suddenly my water broken by 37 weeks and my baby was still facing frontside. Then they induced me since I haven’t gone into labour. All of sudden baby turned around itself to facing backwards and everything went smooth. All mommy who’s worried. Please give baby its time and chance. They might turn around themselves, meanwhile you can try few exercises as Tina shows.
@ I did curbside walking ( one leg on curb and one leg on the road ) but I don’t think it helped me because I was 0% dilated. I did 5 days of curbside walking.
OMG this explains why my second child’s birth was HORRENDOUS! contractions felt like they were back to back and the PAINNNNNN in my back and midsection felt like getting torn apart by a chainsaw. He scarred me after his birth 😂 not enough to have a third and now pregnant with number 4…what is wrong with me!? 😂😭
My baby wasn't sunnyside up, but that back labor was no joke! I did get relief from counterpressure though. My mom and husband were pushing on my low back and squeezing my hips for hours 😂 they were champs
My baby was in the right orientation but was presenting face first so my contractions weren't getting her out. The doc pushed her back in so he could ease the crown of her head to come first. I still needed an episiotomy but I only pushed 4 hours. Unfortunately, this gave her an undiagnosed birth injury of a twisted and cocked atlas. As a baby and toddler she almost exclusivey used her right hand. She rarely even used her left hand as a helper hand. She was also a one legged crawler but I don't know if that is significant. When she was about 4, she was big enough to close the car door herself but, rather than using her left hand, she would reach across her body with her right hand to lean and pull the car door closed. I found that troubling. Then a chiropractor who specialized in the atlas came to speak at my business club. I asked if he thought this might be a chiropractic issue. He thought it might be so I brought her. The exrays showed it was misaligned both by rotation to one side and tipped off level. It only took one treatment to correct this and suddenly she was using her left arm. At 27 (her bd is today😊), her right is still dominant but she uses her left normally.
@caffeinatedpossum I don't blame the doctor as he corrected baby's awkward face first presentation. I kept pushing and wasn't really getting anywhere. I just wish I would have known that coming face first could have altered the neck's alignment. I could have had the adjustment done at an earlier age. And it's like: of course the neck would be affected! Why didn't this occur t me?
That's great, but I'm thankful you lucked out with a chiropractor who seemed to know what he's doing. The practice isn't rooted in evidence-based science, and some chiropractors (too many in fact) do a lot more harm than good because they're simply not qualified and monitored the same way medical doctors are.
Delivered my second baby on all fours 3 months ago and let me tell you, A WORLD of difference! No tearing, I could "J" breathe him down, no coached pushing, had my nitrous mask in one hand and could take a puff when the contractions were on top of each other at the end. The nurses said I'm welcome to come deliver a baby every year with them 😂
Yes!! The back pain was too real, of course my Baby was in OP position and no one attempted to get me on all 4's, massage my back or anything. Doc declared an emergency c section due to impatience 🙄 I know better now
Both my brother and I were OP babies. I came out with a cone head and bruises all over because the doctor wouldn't even try to turn me and barely breathing at all. My mom says it's a miracle that I didn't get brain damage from the trauma and lack of oxygen. My brother had his umbilical cord wrapped around his shoulder, and every time our mom had a contraction, his vitals would drop. The doctor for his birth managed to get him turned and unwrap the umbilical cord and he turned out perfectly fine.
They gave me an epidural. I couldn’t lay in any position except flat on my back because my O2 would drop and my son’s heartbeat would plummet. Then they decided I didn’t need epidural so they shut it off and after 5 hours of excruciating pain, no progress, on oxygen, me pleading with them that I literally can’t do this and I feel like I’m dying … they turned it back on. He was out not 10 minutes later. Then had the nerve to say “idk where she found the strength to push”. Maybe because I was able to focus instead of screaming for hours, Megan. My son came out dark blue and purple and had to be taken away from me. I never want another kid cause I ain’t doing that shit again
@@michellewilliams761yeah. My fiancé himself was traumatized watching me go through that and told me he doesn’t want more kids because he can’t watch me go through that again. Hell even the anesthesiologist told them they’d regret this and she will be back because I’m not going to be able to handle the pain. She was right ! Everytime I get a slight crap in my uterus, I panic because it just reminds me of labor. My mom friend was like yeah no, they treated you poorly and that’s not normal. It was Jackson TN hospital. Fuck that place
I was feet first and my twin brother was sideways. I have a scar on my ankle from my mom's C-section (and glad it wasn't my face!) Women are so incredible any way they give birth! Definitely not for me
Wow how intense. What an interesting scar to carry with you for your entire life. I bet your little infant brain was shocked to come into the world that way 💙
Dad came out and the doctors thought he was going to need surgery because his baby arms were out of sockets, his thumbs were out of socket, and he was crying(like all children do) Anyway, arms and thumbs immediately popped back into place. Double jointed Houdini baby
I had massively bad back labor with my oldest. He was sunny side up and no change of position helped it. The doctors couldn't get him to flip and for some reason, I stopped dilating at an 8. Then, on top of it all, when I would have contractions later in my labor, his heart rate would drop. Ended up having to do an unplanned cesarean to get him out safely.
My sister had her first baby in breach. It was agonising, and I, as a 16 year old edgy kid, shockingly showed compassion for once, as it was agonising so basically I did everything for her while we were waiting at home for her husband to get there to take her to hospital from base (he's in the Airforce) about an hour away from our house.
My 16 year old was face up and had back pain and ended up with c section after pushing for 2.5 hours. I gave up because they made me lay down to birth.
I literally cannot bear the pain of contractions lying down. I have to stand in a slight squat, and then it's pretty easy. I learned not to birth with a doctor after my first birth because they don't listen to mothers OR science.
They tried having me get on hands n knees when i was in labor...it was so painful just getting in that position that i was stuck and needed help turning back around onto my back on the bed.
My baby was sunnyside, I didn’t care about me but I was so concerned for her because she came out bruised, happy to report three months later and she’s healthy smart and strong. No signs of anything that happened to her during birth ☺️
I had both babies natural and without epidurals. I had back pain with my daughter and leg and stomach pain with my second. I also went numb once they crowned, both times!! I feel perineal massage helped me not tear, being positive about the entire situation, and feeling the pain helped me have fast labors. ♡♡
As soon as my first real contraction hit I knew something wasn’t “right”. The pain in my back was horrific and I found myself crawling down my parents hallway on all 4’s. Elongating my back seemed to help a little bit and so did rocking on all 4’s. She was my first baby and only one I had back labor with, thank goodness!!
@@HappyHomemaker23 for me it's literally just my back. I can feel tightening in the front but if there is any pain it's totally eclipsed by the pain in my back.
First time mum this past August 🥰 My baby came out sideways (imagine when she was coming out she was facing my inner thigh). 31 hours of labour, had to have my waters broken, episiotomy and a tear. Only gas and air. I begged for that epidural but never got one. I had all back pain during my labour didn’t feel anything in my abdomen. According to my doctor the reason I laboured for 31 hours was because she wasn’t sitting on my cervix correctly so my cervix wasn’t dilating how it was supposed to. I was 2cm for 24 of those hours.
My 2nd did this she was 22 1/2 in & 9 lbs 8.6 oz. and I ended up breaking 2 vertebrae and 2 ribs during delivery. I HAD ANOTHER BABY 20 months later so it didn’t stop be. Worth every second of it.
My son, who is my oldest, he came through in the ideal position. Labor was about 17 hours, but relatively uncomplicated aside from a last minute episiotomy, and my epidural coming out of my back and wearing off right around push time… making it too late for a bolus. Similarly, my pregnancy with him was pretty normal, he was pretty mellow. To this day, his personality is very much the same as I guess. I imagined it when I was pregnant with him. My daughter, who is slightly less than a year and a half younger than him, was a stargazer. Despite trying to physically manipulate my very pregnant belly to get her to turn around when I was in early labor, she stubbornly refused to assume the proper position. My labor with her was 27 hours and absolutely horrendous. Towards the end, they were debating as to whether or not to rush me into surgery for a C-section because she was starting to show signs of distress and I was exhausted. My epidural came out right around push time again with her, also. So, I basically had to raw dog the pain yet again. But her delivery was much, much more difficult and painful. She also was a wild child throughout my pregnancy as well. Nonstop kicker and wiggle worm. At the end of the day, she showed up on her timeframe, her schedule. Natural delivery, and peroneal tearing this time. And just like with her brother, her personality as I know it now, was very much reflected in terms of how my pregnancy and my delivery of her went. 😂 she is my spicy one.
Just had my baby 3 days ago, and she was in the OP position. The back pain was like nothing I've ever experienced. I got an epidural, and it helped so much. After hours of pushing, the doctor used a suction device to finally get her out.
Luckily I had an epidural because my baby was sunny side up and the attending asked if she could reach inside me and turn her over and I said sure ( I didn't really feel it). Then my baby flipped back and she asked if she could do it again, she sure it would work this time and it did. But omg my husband saw the blood oozing out while she was in there turning things around. Bless him😅
I had back labor with my 1st and currently only baby. I was told whilst I was pregnant we were back to back and to watch out for back labor. Luckily he was a perfect sport and labor went as well as labor could go and he came out almost no issues except an older midwife helped adjust his position as I was pushing 😳
Posterior for my 1st baby. It was horrific back pain. The giving birth part was not as bad. Got 3rd degree tear. I have 5 kids now. Each birth and pregnancy is different. ❤
I had a sunny side up. Doctors tried all types of positions and exercises she just wouldn’t turn. When baby came out that tore me and bruised up my butt and back real bad. I had to do physical therapy for 4 months post delivery I couldn’t walk. Pregnancy and delivery is no joke. But best thing is she came out so sweet , healthy and beautiful, she is now turning for and I had 1 more after her much easier delivery and one on the way due soon.
My second son was breached. I went into premature labor 3 weeks before my scheduled c section at 39 weeks. The contractions were inconsistent with time and intensity but I hadn't felt that pain since giving birth to my first. I know false contractions, I had them every day for 11 weeks with my first. Since there was no consistency I tried treating it like false contractions... for 13 hours straight a contraction with any spacing between 5 minutes to 24 minutes. With any pain level between early labor contractions to screaming curse words while I pee myself in pain. Call the doctor and they told me it's just false contractions. Just drink some water and relax. Like I hadn't done that in the past 13 hours? I even fell asleep and woke up with the same contractions. I kept getting told I wasn't in labor if there was no consistency. However after 13 hours I'm going to the doctor. Sure enough I was in labor and the fact he was breached made the contractions inconsistent. The doctor at the hospital, knew that but my doctor didn't. (I have more issues with that ich and already made it clear she wasn't allowed to even be in my delivery room) I also had other pregnancy issues that I medically could not have this baby at home even if he was head down. Can you talk about that too. Because I felt really ignored while I was actively in labor and I feel the breached baby mamas need to know more.
My son was op found out after 48 hours of labor and ended up having a emergency c-section 😅 I was 5 centimeters for about 30 hours... only got an epidural for the last 8 hours 😑 He's a healthy, happy, energetic 3 year old now.
Had that with my 9.1 lbs son. I was doing just fine with my labor and all natural birth then stopped at 7 cm until I naturally produced my own pitocin (nipple stimulation). Then the back labor started and was like I was having contractions every minute. They wanted me to get on my hands and knees but I didn’t have enough of a break from contractions. He came out fine and I was relieved.
Oldest was OP, the other 2 were OA. As a nurse in also found that OP labors do like hands and knees or kneeling on the bed with the foot portion lowered and the they rest their elbows on the "seat" part of the bed. Even have had them deliver in that position!😊
Yes! I had back labor and was unable to dilate. They did not believe I was in labor until I eventually had an emergency C-section. I’m pregnant with my second now and know how to advocate for myself better.
Recently learned that my mom only had back labor with myself and my sisters. I only found this out because my sister only felt back labor when she gave birth
@@jolenethiessen357 not that I have heard about. Coincidentally, I actually have an extreme forward tilt of my uterus. Learned that after they couldn't properly place an iud
My sunnyside baby turned my homebirth into a C-section. I could not push him out and I spent 16 hours laboring trying to get him to turn. I remember getting into the birth pool and being excited for pain relief and it didnt help at all. I was so distressed, back labor is no joke!
Both my babies were born completely naturally (no epidural, no IV, no medications of any kind). My older daughter came normally, but with a crazy fast labor of just under two hours (please don’t slug me!). My second, on the other hand, was posterior and gave me back labor as a result, but it only took three pushes for her (and an even shorter labor overall). If it hadn’t been for my husband rubbing the small of my back with each contraction, I might have seriously considered an epidural because that back pain with each contraction was no freaking joke!
My kids didn't turn around TWICE! My water broke, and I was induced with my first. I had back labor, so I had an epidural and there was no option to get up. The baby broke my tailbone with her skull. The baby became distressed and I was rushed to surgery for C-section #1. It was awful. I think it was the combination of the drugs, and being tired from pushing for a few hours, and a brand new baby doc working with an old doctor that ruined it for me. I had issues after the surgery with adhesions, dryness, and pain. Cough "wrong" and feel something pull or rip inside. Owww. C-section #2 was scheduled, because baby wouldn't go head down. Poor thing was a whole 2" taller than their older sibling! My dreams of a VBAC were gone, but the surgery was much better. I chose a great surgeon the second time. The surgery was executed beautifully and he repaired the adhesions. He brought #2 into the world feet first, and all my other problems went away too!
I had my oldest son that way. I had back labor it was so not fun! My other two child came out the right way and my labor wasn’t so back. But I will always remember the back labor!
I'm a mom of 4 and 2 of them were back births, in Germany we call them "Sternegucker" which roughly means "star gazer". The "easistest" birth I had on all fours, the hardest was laying on the left side. The contractions were horrible and I felt like I was unable to push properly. Though, the midwife afterwards assured me that there was a lot of power behind me pushing, it just didn't felt like it for me.
The girls in my family were all born Sunnyside up. The boys were normal. My daughter was not just Sunnyside up but she also had the cord wrapped around her neck. I went into labor on Halloween. Took my son trick-or-treating. When to the hospital afterwards and the Dr was so sure I'd have her that night. The contractions got down to about 5 minutes apart and then stopped. She didn't come out until 3 weeks after that. My daughter was 3 weeks late and my son was a week early. They are both very small though. They were 6 lb 10 oz and 6 lb 11 oz.
Mine was OP and slightly diagonal. I had back pain for weeks after delivery. They also gave me an epidural immediately after check in, doc hadn't even done an exam to check for dilation or effacement yet, so I was sick in bed the whole time. They also gave me a pitocin iv, catheter, and broke my water all within about 20 min after check in. I didn't have my daughter for 11 hours
I had one of my three in the op position. Dear God, was the worst ever back labor with absolutely no space between contractions. Was awful. Bonus though, he was a fast labor. 5.5 hours from start too finish. But, he did have some issues with breathing and heart rates not going down to normal for over 24 hours. But he's happy and healthy now, and that's all that I ever wanted.
I had pretty rough back labor with my first. Started to push and no position was getting babe out (she was sunny side up). After 3 hours of trying everything I could, we opted for a C-Section and turns out she was stuck. When the doctor pulled her out he even commented that I could have pushed all I wanted but she wasn’t coming out
I had back labor with my first. Counter pressure on my spine during contractions was the only way I got relief. Seemed to have regular labor with my second, the pressure around the stomach felt completely different. Can't recommend either lol.
My first was face up and I didn’t have back labor. My second was facing my back like she should and I DID have back labor. So, I would imagine there are other reasons for back labor as well, and that what is said here to cause it, does not ALWAYS cause back labor. Just a heads up. Hope all the mamas out there have a safe and happy labor/delivery.
Fun fact: my mother went to the same hospital for the first three pf her four borths and they did not let her eat, drink, get up from laying on her back at all, or walk around. This led to two eight hour labors and one 16 hour labor. With her fourth child she went to a different hospital that provided food and water and let her move freely. Thst labor was only 4 hours and it was her biggest baby.
You know what, I don't remember them telling me which way he came out, however I was in intense back labor for hours and had not one but 2 epidural. Best day of my life, my 9.13 lb little man was perfect, and my doctor was able to do pernial massage for the entire long amount of hours along with a lot of preparation from me in the form of birthing classes and strengthening my pelvic floor, I had only minor level 1 tears
I was an op position baby. My mom (who chose not to have an epidural) was in for an induction in the morning, but I decided to come in the middle of the night. She felt 90% of the pain in her back, so her nurses ignored her until I was less than an hour away from being born. One of them finally took her seriously and checked. The doctor had to sprint down the hall to get to us!
Both of my kids were born c-section. They grow large and my pelvic bone is narrow. Found that out with my first son. He was 11 pounds 3 ounces and 22 1/2 inches. My second boy was almost 10 pounds and we took him out about 2 weeks early due to my health and his.
Just FYI, back labor can occur with anterior babies, too. My son was in the right position by all means of checking, both before and during labor. I still pretty much had nothing but back labor for over 30 hours.
My labor stalled so they put me on pitocin and thats when the back labor really ramped up. It was 10-15 minute long back spasms with maybe a 1 minute break. I did that for about 4 hours then, after the 3rd time i cried, decided i needed the epidural. The nurse said she was probably sunny side up and that once i got the epidural, i was able to relax enough to get her into a better position. Not sure, but 2.5 hours i got the epidural i was pushing her out. Got her out in 3 good pushes. I was in labor (water broke first) for 23 hours and only pushed for maybe 10 minutes. Pushing was by far the easiest part of that whole experience.
Yes, very painful back labour. I was trying to suck in that gas to relieve pain but would get quite nauseous so would gasp for fresh air. At this point my husband informed me that I could use a teeth brushing 😶... My son was OP position and almost 10 lbs... 😩... he also had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck so was very stressful labour. He was born a deep purple and I thought he was stillborn until his Moro reflex let me know that he was alive. At this point, my husband told me that he was a boy.
My baby was OA but still I had terrible back pain from the moment baby dropped in the pelvis. My Labour pains were not as terrible as back pain. For the majority of my Labour I didn’t even feel Labour pains coming and going because of the excruciating back pain
I knew all fours was the position for me before I was even pregnant!! I was so baffled when 45 minutes of pushing that way didn’t move him a centimeter and I ended up on my back anyway 😢 but I feel better after seeing this! That had to be what got him from sunny side up to butt sniffing after HOURS of maneuvering
So, my labor was really weird. My epidural was put in a vertebrae or two too low. My mom is an L&D nurse was there for support for my first, she even said outloud as the lady was putting it in "That seems too low. Why are you moving the gown under her?" The administrator of my epidural got really huffy and said "Because shes so small and the gown doesnt fit." I could still feel my entire birth and contractions at peak, but my legs felt dead and cold, I couldnt move them at all. I kept complaining about it, and they just kept upping my epidural dosage until I physically felt trapped in my own body but still in all the pain.
My baby was sunny side up. The back labour suuuuuuuucked and the hospital didn't do birth plans. They had what they deemed best practice, on your back, legs up. I kept trying to tell them on all fours was most comfortable for me but they kept making me lay down. Needless to say, I jumped at the epidural once I figured they'd make me stay on my back the whole time lmbo
I gave birth to a posterior and out of all my births it was definitely the worst pain! It broke my tailbone, her face was bruised and she later had to have nasal surgery to fix her nose she apparently broke on my tailbone and I have pelvic floor and nerve pain 25 years later.
I had an epidural so no pain, but he got stuck behind my pelvic bone, and no matter the birthing position and pushing he eefused to come out, so forceps were nneeded Can you demonstrate something like that when you have time, please?
Something happened to me. My ob decided to do a vacuum instead of forceps.
Were you able to push on all fours?

My doctor was an asswhole and even though I was completely UNMEDICATED he wouldn't let me push in a position that was comfortable for me because he was too tall and "needed" the table to be too high up. My little one qas OA, so that helped, but I'm now experiencing prolapse with my first
Ugh! I would have fired that doctor so fast!
That's why i went with nurse midwives for my 2nd, 3rd, and my 4th (due next week). I learned from my 1st awful experience with an AH doctor.
You are well within your rights to tell a doctor to shove it.
@@kitturtle6629 ESPECIALLY when giving birth!! your body is literally being torn open!
the comfort is meant to be for you, not the damn doctor.. crazy
"If your cutie's behaving themselves" 😂😂 why was that so funny to me?
My baby was facing frontside . We came to know in 32 weeks scan. I was super worried but my doctor didn’t think it was complicated at all, she said give it sometime baby might turn around itself. Boom suddenly my water broken by 37 weeks and my baby was still facing frontside. Then they induced me since I haven’t gone into labour. All of sudden baby turned around itself to facing backwards and everything went smooth.
All mommy who’s worried. Please give baby its time and chance. They might turn around themselves, meanwhile you can try few exercises as Tina shows.
What did you do to have labor early?
@ I did curbside walking ( one leg on curb and one leg on the road ) but I don’t think it helped me because I was 0% dilated. I did 5 days of curbside walking.
In Germany these Bays are called " Sternengucker"..." stargazer" because they look up to the stars. ❤
That pressure did help but my husband stopped and said he was tired. I screamed I don't give a ... Just keep going. I still haven't forgiven that
@vtheb1299 wow, i would be so disappointed! I definitely had a grudge against him 🤣🤦🏼♀️
@@vtheb1299 you're kinder than I would have been lol.
I had huge hip bruises with #3 😂
Same. All 5 of my births. My husband knows "the spot" where to apply counter pressure. I always chalked it up to having a retrograde uterus.
And to think the doctor who delivered her probably has no clue they caused a significant injury to your child, even if it was ultimately fixed
God bless you and your daughter and that chiropractor!!!!!
I had no idea about coupling contractions. You just made me feel so seen that it’s healing my back labor trauma😭😂
"2 time survivor" is the best wording
Delivered my second baby on all fours 3 months ago and let me tell you, A WORLD of difference! No tearing, I could "J" breathe him down, no coached pushing, had my nitrous mask in one hand and could take a puff when the contractions were on top of each other at the end. The nurses said I'm welcome to come deliver a baby every year with them 😂
Two time surviver is the best way to say you have birthed 2 kids.
Sounds cruel 😮
Shame on them, that's malpractice! 😕
Fuck that place
that happened with my mother, she still makes jokes about how i've been a pain since birth xD
Had an epidural. Didn’t feel a thing! Which was a wonderful switch from my otherwise painful pregnancy. Birth and recovery was the easiest part!
Now I understand why my doc said I was a trooper you deliverd "sunny side up " I was so out of it I just herd the eggs part I was starving 😅
I was feet first and my twin brother was sideways. I have a scar on my ankle from my mom's C-section (and glad it wasn't my face!) Women are so incredible any way they give birth! Definitely not for me
Wow how intense. What an interesting scar to carry with you for your entire life. I bet your little infant brain was shocked to come into the world that way 💙
@girlintheworld8433 definitely! But I call it my "birthmark" lolz Could have been a lot worse!
Dad came out and the doctors thought he was going to need surgery because his baby arms were out of sockets, his thumbs were out of socket, and he was crying(like all children do)
Anyway, arms and thumbs immediately popped back into place. Double jointed Houdini baby
I had MAJOR back labor and probably will with my 2nd. This video was very helpful
Mom's are amazing.
I am a male teenager but your advice is greatly appreciated
I had massively bad back labor with my oldest. He was sunny side up and no change of position helped it. The doctors couldn't get him to flip and for some reason, I stopped dilating at an 8. Then, on top of it all, when I would have contractions later in my labor, his heart rate would drop. Ended up having to do an unplanned cesarean to get him out safely.
I’m not having kids. I don’t think I can handle it or be mentally fit to raise them. Respect to moms out there holy shit
Laying down is not evidence based. Sorry you went through that.
@@fireincarnation2348 i was 17 too.
I had the worst back pain during labor. I was only in labor for 12 hrs but it felt like an eternity because of the pain.
Yes that was me all of mine where sunny side up the contractions were back to back it’s amazing what our bodies can do 😊❤ thank you for explaining
as a 15 year old school boy, i cant say ive ever had pain during childbirth, no
As soon as my first real contraction hit I knew something wasn’t “right”. The pain in my back was horrific and I found myself crawling down my parents hallway on all 4’s. Elongating my back seemed to help a little bit and so did rocking on all 4’s. She was my first baby and only one I had back labor with, thank goodness!!
Is it possible for back labour to just also be how your body does labour? I've had 6 kids and only ever back labour.
Yes! I had five like that and the last one was horribly painful. I damaged my tailbone and it only stopped hurting 4 years later.😢
Yesss! 4 all back labor
When yall say back labor, is it just your back or pain all the way around? Mine hurt the front and back.
@@HappyHomemaker23 for me it's literally just my back. I can feel tightening in the front but if there is any pain it's totally eclipsed by the pain in my back.
@@heidimiller656 It must be true. All four of mine were back labor.
That’s how my baby was. She didn’t turn until she was basically coming out
Just had my baby 3 days ago, and she was in the OP position. The back pain was like nothing I've ever experienced. I got an epidural, and it helped so much. After hours of pushing, the doctor used a suction device to finally get her out.
My tailbone was literally bruised after from her pushing against it during labor 😅
Yes I had 2 natural baby’s births and I had a lot of back pains during my both pregnancy 😔😔
All 4 of my kids were horrific back labor. I've had 10 surgeries on my entire spine since!
I came out ass first when I was born, so I think I was trying to make it as painful as possible 😂😂
Yep! Sunny side up and back labor! Being on all fours I got lots of relief.
No meds!!
My eighth. 😂
Do they both have retrograde urteruses? My mom and I both do, and we both had horrible back labour with all our babies.
I was a sunny side up baby. My mom had horrible labor pain. She was in active labor for over 24 hours.
Never stops amazing me the power of the birth canal...
❤You my favourite midwife. I appreciate your videos! They are so fun, funny and intelligent 📸📸📸📸
I had a lot of back pain during child birth. Knowing what you just said… reason 2042 why I’m glad I had a c-section.
Good to know also love your videos ❤️💕💜
This is crazy didn't know this thanks Gabriel 😅
Both my babies were sunny side up, and my second I did all natural. I pushed for 2 hours for both. Hands and knees was a life saver for me.
The pain women handle in labor is so insane
God bless the ladies who give birth
yikes
No man could ever deal with
The girls in my family were all born Sunnyside up.
My daughter came out sunny side up. Back labor and bruised my tailbone from the delivery. Took about 5 weeks or so for that to heal!
I had back labor with my first and it was so awful!!! Thankfully didn't have it with my next two and it was 1000x better 😅
I had pretty rough back labor with my first. Started to push and no position was getting babe out (she was sunny side up). After 3 hours of trying everything I could, we opted for a C-Section and turns out she was stuck. When the doctor pulled her out he even commented that I could have pushed all I wanted but she wasn’t coming out
Every one of my births had severe back labor luckily my last one we got the epidural in one time so that was so much easier.
My last baby was positioned optimally, and I still had back labor. 😢
Yea...... Back labor check..... I'm 4'10".... My son's were 9 and1/2lbs and 12lbs
My 36 week scan his head was measuring 42 weeks 😅 currently 38 weeks and hes OP. Trying so hard to get this boy to rotate to a better position 😂
My mother told anyone who would listen that i was born sunny side up and I caused her to miss Carnival.
I miss her so much.
I had back labor with my son. My daughter has her spine on my stomach right now and I still have two months to go so let's hope she stays that way lol
Why are you moving the gown under her?"
The administrator of my epidural got really huffy and said "Because shes so small and the gown doesnt fit."
I could still feel my entire birth and contractions at peak, but my legs felt dead and cold, I couldnt move them at all.
