      What! even the MG has it? I thought Focals QC would've improved by now. I really don't understand why audio enthusiasts, keep recommending them. Doesn't matter how good the sound is, the product has to be reliable too at those prices.

      @@Etem92 I'd only ever heard great things about Focal and got sucked in by the hype. I never researched if there were any QC issues or anything like that and then 6 weeks in, out of nowhere any bass made the driver clip like crazy.

    when I tested utopias with my A2 beyerdynamic amp they clipped on konga fury (animatrix soundtrack). The clears passed that test. This might be a defective unit...

    • @mikeg2491
      @mikeg2491 Год назад +1

      @@johnt3500 I think it’s just them covering their asses, I bet they know it’s a problem but can’t admit to it because it would be financially disastrous to RMA tens of thousands of HPs. I still love the sound and I feel blessed I got a Radiance without the problem while my Utopia has the issue. If you’re willing to take the lottery and hope you win, they are honestly one of the best, most natural HPs on the market. I will say for what it’s worth it’s only on very specific songs I run into the clipping problem on the Utopia like the Bladerunner 2049 opening track. Coincidentally these same songs will clip on some of my Beyerdynamics like the DT990 so badly mastered songs does play a big part too.
