The reason why Deadlock is this good is because Icefrog is behind it and is also responsible of Dota's immense gameplay depth. I daresay this is actually Dota 3 because it is completely free of any expected nuances of the original DotA which was ported to Dota 2 because that is what the player base wants. I would say league set a bad example for the genre which may have contributed to the genre leaving a bad taste to some people but I am confident this game would be successful enough to have an impact in showing what makes the genre fun and addicting.

Deadlock design philosophy is basically “How do we make Moba fun for general audience. While not being absolutely break their souls” which they nailed that for a bit. Although Magginnis is absolutely annoying to fight right now. Seriously, she’s not fun to fight against. Everytime I see her setting up a turret I was like “Ah shit here we go again”.
deadass if her turrets shot 'reasonably fast'* projectiles i wouldn't mind that nerf. * fast enough you can react to and dodge them or with high speed builds outright run circles around them.
@@MrRukrio1 I don’t mind her turret have fast projectiles but jesus her turrets also slows you down quite a lot. Reduce your damage and ROF. She was totally cracked.
Put her turrets in corners not out in the open, use them to get blindspots or for minions coming around corners. If you hide them the enemy cant shoot them but they have a lot of range
Deadlock is like a perfect game for MOBA and shooter players, and it takes the best of the genre and takes out the worst. For example, in CS2, all you have is the same routine, same objective every time, and boom. Now you can't rely on those routines anymore, everything is chaos and changing
The thing about Deadlock, is it doesn't fall into the trappings of other MOBAs. The items aren't super overpowered and meta defining, the characters are varied and interesting design wise, the supernatural noir setting is slick and captivating, the focus on movement over micro makes it feel less sluggish and annoying, and it does really help that they have the experience they have with DotA 2 to contribute to the design of this games's push and pull game structure. It's a fresh and awesome concept even in beta.
Bro, deadlock have Dota items, But players dont play with them yeat. You have BKB. That you need on a carry to not Die to cc. And you would need hex and healing items on your supports.
