Welcome to the conclusion of the Wendy Williams Series. In part I, we saw a more humanized side of Wendy as we delved into her childhood, background, and early parts of her career. As of 2024, Wendy has unfortunately been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
A Lifetime Documentary about Wendy Williams is set to premiere 2/24/24.
1. According to Wendy's brother Tommy, she did not attend their mother's funeral. According to Wendy she did attend the funeral and so did Kevin.
2. Kevin Hunter's legal name is Kelvin so you may notice that he is referred to as Kelvin at various times in the episode.
3. According to several outlets, Wendy and Kevin did not have a prenup.
5. According to court documents, Wendy paid Kevin alimony in the amount of $250,000/month. In February of 2022, the payments stopped when Wendy's bank put her under financial guardianship. According to Kevin as stated in an interview featured in this episode, he wasn't receiving alimony payments but payments related to selling his share of their business.
6. In February of this year (2023), a judge ruled that Wendy's financial guardian will not have to resume "alimony/monthly" payments to Kevin Hunter and dismissed his case without prejudice.

I might say that Josh Duggar, the reality TV star who abused his sisters and was convicted of child sa is obviously not a good person. But everyone else I think are so relatable. We all have shortcomings, transgressions and mess up. Last time I checked, I’m an imperfect person. 💕

I felt this 3 part series was quite neutral as well as empathetic, and also quite frank to be honest. I felt this was pretty fair coverage. Some might even say she cut Wendy too much slack/ was too nice to her considering some of the things Wendy has said and done. 🤷 You can't win them all, obviously.

this is a perfect example of loving a man more than you love yourself. She allowed him to do whatever he wanted and she put up with it. This relationship broke her financially and more importantly mentally. Never love someone more than you love yourself

It’s more of an example of NEVER fight a mistress to keep the man. To me her denying the affairs and constantly saying oh the ring is still on, he’s still my lover my best friend. It feels like she’s saying that shit to try to hurt the mistress. It felt mostly like she wanted to “win” and nothing more.

She didn't love him. Her fear of being alone was the driving force here. I have seen this trait in women and men. They will take all kinds of abuse and in many case if they have money, they will use money to keep the person they need. Unfortunately, once the other party realizes that their spouse or loved one is so mental dependent , they know that they can do anything. It's bad enough to have a girlfriend but knocking up that girlfriend really backed Wendy into a corner. She couldn't rationalize a baby away. This was not about love. He saw her as his meal ticket, yet he hated being Mr. Williams. All his power came thru her. She needed him to feel safe.
Wendy was the bread winner in this family.

I’m a nurse of 30 years! I WISH I could give Miss Wendy love, support, kindness and my nursing skills! She needs a friend, that has gone through what she has BUT also can care for her health wise at the same time.
She needs serious AA and rehab . Not just nursing care
She needs a whole team of support of multiple layers . Dementia care , mental care , physical care , spiritual support , health care, etc …. Unfortunately, with the hundreds of millions of dollars she has, it brings out the worst in some people and her needs will not be met as needed . Their will always be exploitive people in her life . And I saw some of the snippets of her docuseries that is out and Wendy is up and down in her dementia , plain nasty mean at times , vulnerable , kind at others . It’s tough to treat and care for dementia patients , I did that line of work for ten years , and I learned a lot and grew a lot in my knowledge of how to care for people with dementia , and that included my own self care so I could function wholly to care for myself and my family also .

My thoughts and prayers go out to beautiful Wendy. I'm heartbroken to hear of her diagnosis and to learn of all she's gone through. Kevin Hunter is no man because no REAL man would be as classless and indecent as he is. What he did to Wendy is reprehensible and unforgivable! He had ZERO respect for her, their son, his family and certainly no SELF-RESPECT!!! She didn't deserve what he did to her, nor did their son. I think Kevin never really loved her, he used her. He saw an opportunity and took it. He bled her dry, abused her codependency issues and still have the audacity to demand more money after the separation.

This is an example of how devastating co-dependency can be. Remember nobody completes you. You are already complete. You share yourself with somebody if you want to, but never at the expense of losing yourself. Hoping the best for her and anybody living inside a personal hell.
Co-dependency but also not leaving a serial cheater. They will destroy you in the end.
That’s not true. Two positive, honest people can become codependent over time and have both of their lives improved because of it. My wife and I have been together almost 27 years, married 22, and have three teenage kids between the ages of 18 and 14. We have complimented each other, been there to lift the other when needed, and been each other’s best friend and lover and always been loyal and loving and dependable.

The reason why she didn’t have anyone to turn and cry too is because Wendy doesn’t have friends, she wasn’t good in that area as far as making friends.

If she has childhood trauma, this would be considered "normal." Trauma does things to the brain, and addiction stunts the healing and emotional development.

I hate to share this but while my daughter was an intern on the Wendy Show from Saint John's University she would call me and tell me of the dysfunction that was going on on that set and I would c continue to encourage her to hang in there and always to be professional no matter how others behaved so she did. NOW, I wish I had told her to RUN as fast as she could! The things that occurred on that set were UNBELIEVABLE!! I still have some of the paraphernalia that my daughter received as an employee but I am too conflicted to wear/use it. I pray for nothing but the best for Wendy but I want to sock Kevin for how he yelled at and treated my daughter. I'm just happy he can't mistreat another young naive college kid.

I couldn't stand her before watching this but now that I'm getting to know a little about her and what she's been through I have a lot of respect for her. I like her a lot more now, still not into her show but it's good to know how real she is. Alcohol is so dangerous, I hope she gets well and finds a healthier way to cope.

My husband subjected me to the point I felt that am going mad but guess what, I figured it out and move to another country with his help, until I got there, he felt am still under his trap and control until the other side of me resurfaced in the new place, he realised he made a mistake. Although am still struggling to get myself back but am glad I made that move and recovering.

I’m not disrespecting any woman who has been physically abused no excuse for that whatsoever.. but when someone is mentally and emotionally abused that is a recovery that could take a lifetime. It’s sad either way. I’m speaking from experience..
When you become the story, it’s over. There was no way Wendy could have continued to talk in the way she does about others while glossing over her own pitfalls. Nor could she talk with disregard for others well-being when she asks for wellness for her own.

After… “all is well in Hunterville!” That’s when I started losing interests. I became curious, and started watching, when she was all over the country, having her, “hot girl summer.” But it never felt genuine. I stopped watching, again.
It’s so messed up, when you think about it. They really tried to rebrand Wendy. As if she could move on, quickly. Only to end up having her show cancelled and her channel “deleted.” And a new host, take her show, soften it up, and keep it moving. Meanwhile, Wendy out here, looking like the polar opposite, of the strong business women, she portrayed herself to be.
Wendy had to face her own demons and it's necessary for growth. Aint nothing new under the sun.
@@FatimaAmerson of course people have their own challenges. But the concept of Wendy’s show was to poke fun at those ‘challenging’ times in celebrities lives. So she could never come back after her ‘issues’ and do the same. No one is saying people don’t struggle and overcome. It’s the nature of the show which was in question and her suitability to host.

The betrayal by Wendy's husband is what contributed to her downward spiral. She worked hard for her career. Kevin ruined her.
It took 36 years to figure out that my mental illness is a direct result of thyroid dysfunction and Graves disease. No one realizes what a vital organ the thyroid is to the health of the rest of your body. I hope she gets the help she needs. I feel for her so.

@@kimberlyelliott7933 might not be bipolar..get your thyroid checked. My readings were only on the low end of normal so they disregarded until I pushed. Saw over 12 doctors. Was also diagnosed bipolar and given Seroquel and tried to delete myself after 2 rounds of being declared 5150. Come to find out, I have 13 nodules on the left lobe and 23 on the right lobe. My liver was failing . Saved my life. Ps..I was also abused, not saying it's the case for you..but doesn't ever hurt to check ❤️ its nice being able to find inner peace. God bless.

Yes! Me too. It took me many many years to get the balance and medical help I needed for my bipolar II diagnosis. It was hard up until I received treatment.
I’m so glad you brought this up. My brother, who was a type 1 diabetic, suffered thyroid problems and became mentally ill. Especially when he would go off thyroid meds. He had so many problems that it’s hard to put it all together of what caused what, but for a fact the thyroid played a huge part in his erratic behavior. At times he would act manic, and one time was literally outside howling at the moon when his thyroid was out of whack. This man and his side chick, destroyed her and in-turn, her health and career! He doesn’t deserve a dime! I’ve been through my husband cheating on me with one woman off and on for years, while I was going through cancer and other terrible medical issues. It puts it on a whole new level, when you get cheated on while you are so vulnerable and needed them to be your strength so badly! It causes the body to not heal correctly and creates new problems. As much as I don’t like Wendy, I feel sorry for what she is going through. She should sue the “other” woman for destroying her relationship and in-turn her health and career! We should all start sueing “the other woman”!!!

I started this series as a regular single woman, and finished it knowing I have been emotionally cheated on for years by my past partner. I can't deny that it doesn't change the way I view wendy's story. I was always the first in my friend group to say Id break up with a cheater, yet I still love the man whos dating the one I was told not to worry about. I feel sorry for her, I can't even think of all the malicious things she did because all I see is a broken woman, much like myself (though of course there's no comparing our situations, hers was a thousand times more traumatic)

I have no sympathy for her ex-husband and he can continue to fool himself into thinking he has taken responsibility for his actions. He is a narcissist to the core. I watched Wendy show everyday and often listened to her when she was on the radio. I majored in Mass Communications because I was so in owe of her talent and thought she was,and still is an absolute legend. There wasn’t many black women in media when I was growing up .we had a handful ..and she always stood out to me. So unapologetically herself. I pray she will recover and I hope she knows We love you Wendy!!!!
I didn’t know much about Wendy until I did this series. I felt terrible for her, especially in this episode. It literally was one blow after another. Good grief. I wish her well and respect the ground she broke and how she paved the way so many others! 💕
If Wendy is your role model, I feel sad for you. She was a life-long drug addict and mentally ill. She dealt in gutter, tabloid journalism. Black artists were crucified by her, she was rude and disrespectful in an age of woke media. Her appeal was train wreck media. The media who owned the show should have ended the show 10 years ago when she lost her mind. Its hilarious when people say she was relatable about her relationship issues. Kevin would've looked more honorable and his reputation would've have been ruined as Wendy's own personal " Super Hero" if he had just stopped cheating and worked on their marriage until Wendy's health declined. That way, if something had happened to her ,then ,he would still looked liked the strong supportive husband ,who stood by her side through difficult times... Then if he wanted to, later on in life maybe pursue a different relationship if she had passed.
Yes she had health issues but stress clearly brings severe symthoms on much more faster and therfore a decline in health.

My favorite episode was when she had just started her monolougue insulting fellow rappers and she looked like deer in headlights and passed out. The audience thought it was part of the act and laugh hilariously.
It's sad that there's this broken mentality of women thinking they should stay in abusive relationships, even when they have a support group that they could run to after casting their abuser into the darkest pit. It just continues the cycle of women unable to escape and in denial of being abused.

I agree with most of what you said, but I'd like to ask, why is calling it bad karma not upto the mark? I'm not American and have not watched her show other than meme clips. So i am not certain as to how much damage she's caused, but judging from everything people say about her on the internet, it does seem like all the bad karma coming too bite her in the butt
What a complicated emotional rollercoaster. Trauma after trauma shaped her into a cold, hard person until she finally broke. I wouldn't wish her life on anyone, but she definitely had times she could've changed her life for the better and chose not to do so. She knew she was hurting people throughout her career and still continued. Just a sad story all around. I hope her son is doing okay. (I really enjoyed this series, very well done!)
