Barotrauma is now on sale for about 14.49 US dollars and 17.49 EURO that is -50% off from it's standard price. Personaly I love this game, you take on lead of submarine on Europe (one of Jupiter's moon) and you fight various monsters in the depths. You play as one of crew members on that submarine captain, engineer, electrician, doctor or security officer on one of many, many submarines you can find in that game or in steam workshop. Of course you can play with friends, randoms or bots up to I believe 16 players, game is really fun to play and I strongly reccomend it to try, even through it's not standard naval game as games mentioned in this video.
The inclusion of Command Modern Operations should mention that the small 3d window is a paid 3rd party add on, Tacview. The vanilla game does not include any such viewing option, since it's really a map based milsim, a version of which was used by the US to game out a possible US-Chinese conflict over Taiwan. DCS players will already be familiar with Tacview, regular Joe Gamer may not.

Because I had to stop somewhere. Including War on the Sea would then have people ask "Where's From the Depths?". The next is going to ask "Where is Rule the Waves?". The next is "Where is Atlantic Fleet?". With that level of scope creep I'd have a 60 minute video describing every naval game out there.

@@Stealth17Gaming As far as I know there aren't any and it's a shame really. I know it's a niche idea and in all likelihood you'd have to incorporate it into a wider sim to draw interest. Off of the top of my head it would probably have to be staged in a relatively large open world map covering a coastal area. I imagine it would then need to incorporate coast guard along with other emergency services and perhaps even it to other areas such as logistics.
@@FreeFragUK Sounds like you're describing the missions that Stormworks has. It tends to be a lot of fetch quests in Stormworks though - go here, pick up people, come back.
Sadly can't buy the better Battlestations Pacific on Steam anymore. Publisher took it down for sale although I'm hopeful it's to actually fix some parts of it due to the message on the page. Otherwise some solid recommendations, shame I own 3 out of 7 already lol
Boat games! Boat games! Boat games! If I'm starting out learning from scratch, would you recommend UAD? I've been watching you play it for a long time, and finally have a computer that can run it.
I personally can't recommend folks to buy Stormworks due to the poor net code for multiplayer, the lacklustre content updates, the over priced and poorly expanded upon DLC and the frustrating mechanic of the game at times such as aircraft and tank tread based vehicles. Whilst it has arguably the best editor for detailed crafts and the micro controller editor is not only its best technical feature but also the best when it comes to similar customizable vehicle function interactions, this game is very much a case of harsh learning curves, one time satisfaction projects and battling its confusing physics engine. If you do enjoy games like this then by all means enjoy it but after enduring over 1000 hours of playing this game, I can't recommend it to casual fans who enjoy games where you make your own custom vehicle for whatever purpose and play it, mostly in part due to the developers being effective amateurs in how they operate and provide content from ignoring community complaints and feedback, clearly not tested new updates or "Major updates" that don't function properly and minimal updates providing only a few fixes over a 2 week span.
Back when I played it I did notice the major updates having gamebreaking issues with them. I really loved Stormworks. Played it a lot. When they started adding weapons I felt the game betrayed its core of search and rescue. If it were up to me I would have loved if the devs stuck to that core and made more missions, more scenarios and a smoother multiplayer experience. Being able to build bigger craft and helicopters is great, but you can't really do everything alone.
@@Stealth17Gaming Honestly I was fine with them adding weapons since a lot of the community are young folks who enjoy playing about with workshop stuff or enjoy blowing stuff up compared to the other half of the community either being techno wizards and making insanely functional stuff or people who are really good at modelling in game. My biggest gripe though is the lack of replay value, beyond micro controllers and lua, a lot of the mechanics have very little depth to them, a lot of variety to explore different mechanics that partly meld together but very little depth to them in terms of exploration and optimization of design, making the complexity of the game not very rewarding after trying to learn it compared to say something like From the Depths. Personally the game is a great game to model stuff in high detail and if you can get it to work, even better and Microcontrollers are fun and a encouraging way to learn Lua, logic gates and to a degree, simple computer architecture, however the poor communication from the developers, lack luster updates, disappointing DLC that never gets touched on again, "Major updates" being broken on launch and overall, a very frustrating game at times to work with and enjoy, is why I don't recommend the game for people enjoy sandbox vehicle editors. Also nice to hear from you man, been loving your content for ages.
one of these games have Kaga in it. Ah god, Battlestations Midway, however huge of a cardinal sin it was to list Kaga as an "Akagi-class", ugh, it's just.......ah....god........even thinking about that is awful. Ugh. It is still, the only game that has Kaga in it. (Battleship Kaga doesn't count, Stormworks can't run a ship as big as her, Wargaming nerfed her 200mm cannons to the ground, which I'll never forgive them for, and War Thunder does not have Kaga....yet.....but if things go the way they are going, we will have the Su-57 before the Bismarck......From the Depths....I guess that may also have Kaga. Anyways, the cardinal sin of most games either not having carriers, or only having US Carriers is.........annoying.)

I feel like Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter should be on this list... It is a great game as well and currently it is 40%
sure wish the Naval Ops series was on steam
we need a new battlestations game
There are new BF, CoD, AC or FC games nearly every year, but good new singleplayer naval games are pretty rare. It's a shame. To me, Battlestations is yet unbeaten.
I put lots of hours in storm works build and rescue, it has a very steep learning curve. Just a fair heads up.
U-boat is a fun game
Where do you buy Battlestations? It appears to be unavailable on Steam. Excellent video BTW.
Whilst it is unavailable on steam I believe it might still be available on consoles. I can't confirm this though since I already own it.
I can see it on steam. Battlestations: Midway for 0,97€ instead of 6,99€. Maybe it's not available in all regions? But this video was about the Steam Summer Sale, so I think it wasn't referring to any console versions.
@@Coldeagle27 I assume they are asking about the battlestations pacific which you can look at but it's unavailable where as midway is available, hence my response about pacific probably still being available on console.
Boat Crew looks cute 😊
Why does Command Modern Operations have TacView in it?
Ultimate Admiral is the one for me!
Battlestations Midway IMBSC Mod is Japanese but the game only has US Campagin if you parents doesnt allow that then use battlestations pacific cause it has japanese empire and Missions,Ships, and even multiplayer
its nice
Battlestations Midway requires a lot of work around to get over the dead xbox live services
You forgot Destroyer U boat hunter, but I guess it was not on sale.
Don't know if Wolfpack is on sale, but I've been playing it for a while now
Carrier Command 2 is definitely missing in this list
I like most of the games you have shown to us in this video. But to be honest, I miss one big game (well, for me it is a big game, because I love it 😉). Where is "War on the sea"?
Because I had to stop somewhere. Including War on the Sea would then have people ask "Where's From the Depths?". The next is going to ask "Where is Rule the Waves?". The next is "Where is Atlantic Fleet?". With that level of scope creep I'd have a 60 minute video describing every naval game out there.
@@Stealth17Gaming Well... I wouldn't mind :-P
But of cours, with a more serious look on it, I see and understand the problem. Thank you for your answer.
Hmmm... maybe next time you try to make a video with 17 Naval Games... :-D
@@Stealth17Gaming Well... Where *is* From the Depths? 😝
will you do more u-boat videos
battle stations midway great game 😎👍
I’d sacrifice a finger for a new battle stations bro
Just bought Battlestations Midway wich is fun to play. There are some nice mods to.
But i want to buy Battlestations Pacific to. Wich is not availble on the market....
Would love a search and rescue game but without the building aspect.
I don't know of any other naval SAR games out there. I'd love one
The one in the video is Midway, which came before Pacific.
What about Rule the Waves 3 and War on the Sea?
Can't cover everything in a video unless I make it 60 minutes.
Boat games! Boat games! Boat games!
If I'm starting out learning from scratch, would you recommend UAD? I've been watching you play it for a long time, and finally have a computer that can run it.
Yeah I think that at this price point UAD is worth it
@@Stealth17Gaming thanks stealth. I trust your perspective and knowledge of the state of the game. Cheers
Will Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnaught ever add carriers/aircraft?
I don't believe they will, no.
@@Stealth17Gaming ☹️
The game was expressly created to indulge in big gun naval warfare
you should have added rule the waves 3
pacific is no longer with us; enix had it removed from steam
Oh that's unfortunate. Thanks for letting me know.
@@Stealth17Gaming tbf, it can be procured as cd-key for steam from private sellers, however that's a chance-game of it's own flavour
Naval action wasn't mentioned???? wtf
I had to stop adding games before it turned into an hour long video
Guys I am looking for some strategic sim/casual satrategy with naval warfare only. Any ideas?
Sea Power
@@Stealth17Gaming As you commented this I was looking exactly at this game. Also War on the Sea looks almost identical except the time period.
Man if only BS:M could be replaced by BS:P Pacific is so much better, sadly it went off sale
Dredge is kind of a naval game.
Didn't even have Rule the Waves 3 on here? Sad
Had to draw the line somewhere.
No rule the waves...shame people are so thrown off by a lack of graphics to one of the best.
It's not that I like or dislike the game, but I had to stop adding games to the video somewhere.
"War on the Sea"
War on the Sea 75% off
one of these games have Kaga in it.
Rule the waves
thanks
Battlestations midway and battleststions pacific are awesome games. Sadly i never got the dlcs for pacific. Was only for xbox or because Microsoft live or what it was called for pc was closed -.- . Want the maps and the yamato with 510mm guns xhwzurjrhdakjsdufs
just got War on the Sea 70% off
