Space Marine Steve and his Stevemarine take on JT and the Leagues of Votann in this 40k in 40m. The Imperial Fists can hit very hard and we will see who has the better hammer.
In this 1,750 point Arks of Omen battle we shall see if Steve and the Stevemarine can defend Steveopolis from Space Dwarves.

The production quality has really shot up (despite it being awesome already) I've seen professional sports matches that could learn lessons from this.
Honestly with the Steve marine taking to the field I'd love to see all the main faces in Play On get a mini based on them. High Kahl JT, Ethereal Tau Nick, Chaos Lord Tyko, etcetera. Could be fun ^^

I AGREE ! I'm also new to playing but have been reading the books. And keeping up with the lore. These battles should get a animated recap!
Steve Marine not even getting to fight and dies in an explosion sounds like a very Steve thing to do.
The sad Steve edit legitimately brought me back to the days of deep strike and scatter in 3rd Edition where so many very expensive units were lost before they ever had a chance to see battle. An exploding Land Raider is a hell of a lot cooler by comparison.

Love the fact steve marine was a lamenter and the way he went down like a lamenter would xd. Hope we see him more in the channel (also imperial fists)
[Spoilers for the video] So this was a brutal match up. The fact the first half looked like Steve could actually give the Sons of Dorn a win in 9th (and on camera!) was so exciting! But the explosion of the Land Raider was a game ender. I know you play to your outs, and they tried to put a good spin on it, but there was no plausible way, right? Am I missing something? Still, seeing a different Space Marine chapter is always fun. Plus Play On Tabletop's production and personality means a lot of underdogs have a chance to see some fun on the table. I hope they show off more subfactions before 10th, and I hope Steve Marine gets a chance to shine!
It's hard to say. That moment was REALLY tough. If that didn't happen, who knows where things would have gone. With that being said, yes... competitively, that unlucky twist hurt my game plan a lot. With that being said, I am actually playing Imperial Fists competitively right now and I have been doing really well. I'm in the top 4 of my local league and there are very few games that I get smashed - even with Imperial Fists being one of the worst space marines. With enough practice and a focused plan, even less than optimal factions and units can win out
@@spacemarinesteve6057 One of the units I've found to be the most entertaining to drop into play are Inceptors with assault bolters, then pop bolter drill. I got Guilliman to take 19 saves, and I've deleted 20-man squads of Necrons. Terminators are a close second though.
The bad part was losing 2 Terminators and Captain Steve.

Dear God, I had forgotten how beautiful the Imperial fists look on the table. Really hoping to see them a bit more, despite their current power.

I love this channel and have learned so much about playing 40k! You always make it enjoyable and entertaining as well as informative. I know you did an Age of Sigmar episode and was hoping you would continue with that system. I'm just getting into AOS and noticed alot of the other channels are difficult to watch for various reasons. I would love to see you guys take that system under wing and make it a staple on the channel.

Since the demon buffs in 9th edition we never seen a freshly rewamped Skarbrand action. Would truly love to see buffed Skarbrand getting some spotlight commanding legions of bloodletters since i think he is quite interesting now. Hell i would love to see who is the mightiest in battle Skarbrand going up against Angron.

At 32:35, the Combat Surgery stratagem couldn’t have been used, as the Hearthkyn Warriors were (I think) still in engagement range of Tor/the rhino. I have that ingrained in my head from making the same mistake too many times lmao
It may not show it on the overhead, but I believe failed morale had taken them out of engagement range.

I've recently picked up Conquest: Last Argument of Kings (a game I'm much more enthusiastic about), and as a result I've been considering whether I really need three 40k armies. And if not; whether it makes any sense to have one of those three armies be Astartes, who are guaranteed to have a constant stream of new releases to keep up with.
My own sarcastic reaction to this game basically ending on turn two kind of crystallized things.

of the 10+ games I have either seen or faced off against Votann, I can't recall them losing. They're just not a fun army to play against (at least in my experience). Sucks because I love their aesthetic and the army in general.
Still a fun battle report to watch though, seemed really even until [redacted due to spoilers].

That’s a you problem. Votann are mostly overpriced and easy to beat with anything but a low model count army like Knights or Custodes.
It’s a high skill shooting army. If you can’t play into them it’s more than likely a list issue. Case in point my friend and I played custodians into them and then iron hands. Custodies did bad cause they got shot to shit before they could charge. Iron hands were an even contention because they are so anti vehicle

I am a complete newbie to this game, but dig the videos and the information would help me and people like me, to follow the game better. Also it helps me to decide if this is a game i want to get into and really delve into everything.
