This movie is, without a doubt, my favorite movie of all time. The art, the animation, the characters, the plot, all of it was so amazing. I cried the first time I watched it.
Aashir Ali well a think both were great and they do different things better. One is more a character study and the other a sparkling big world. And as far I know silent voice doesn’t have a artbook only a strange guidebook which I didn’t like at all. (Well I’m off listening to a silent voice soundtrack)
Oh wow i have one of your videos on my favorites already, the one showing how to color images that were done in grey. What a pleasant suprise to see you again!
Wow... Your set looks amazing dude. I like how much effort you put into the look of your videos. All the slight cameramouvements and tilts :D Makes it so much more enjoyable to watch
My favorite animated film. What stands out to me is how in the Peter Parker spider man designs he doesn’t have that super shredded body, he looks a little more square and stocky, idk why but I LOVE that look
I read manga a lot and look up pictures of comic book from DC to Marvel for reference. Having to see this movie for the first time spark the fire for me to go become a comic artist/ mangaka.
Finding this video is like finding that one person who not only loves that thing you love but also that you can also spend hours talking to them about this
Thanks adam ! I've discovered recently your content and... I just watched al lot of your art talks while animating, it has made me think a lot about the philosophy of making art and creating, as well as regained a lot of motivation in this though times :) Again, thanks you
My two absolute favourite art of books one after the other! I just love it how your perspective makes me appreciate them even more than I already did. Thank you again!
I look at spiderverse concept art so much, it never fails to inspire me! I love how distinct and interesting each of the women look. When will any other movie come up with a design as genius as kingpin 😂
This could not have come at a better time, I've been studying the art of Spiderverse for the last few weeks now! Also, nice Pulp Fiction reference at 13:00
I've been following my copy of the book while watching the video. Completely missed that some of the art was created by Craig Mullins. Love these artbook videos, Adam. Please, keep making them.
Mr Adam, I would love to tell you how grateful I am for all your hard work. Art for me is something special, I've loved it since my early childhood and I've been drawing since then too, sometimes the desire to draw bursts out of me without any effort on my part, I feel that I need to draw. Your work helps me see Art and the World from unique perspectives, so the number of things you've taught me through your videos cannot be measured. I'm fond of filmmaking so I'd like to say that your editing levelled up immensely, the camerawork, the close shots of books, the greatly thought-out foreground, middle ground and background and many many more things sum up into a beautiful ride which is your videos. The new book videos are great, please keep it up, you help us broaden our visual libraries and notice details we wouldn't notice otherwise. English is not my mother tongue, so as a language learner, I'd like to mention how much I enjoy listening to you. A language is a tool and you can handle it as well as you draw. To put things into perspective, a very small percentage of natives can speak as well as you do. You are Art yourself, did you know that? Hahaha Usually, I don't comment videos, so I think that it is better to write a good big one comment, especially when it comes from the heart. Thank you, Mr Adam
Well Captain Spike - know that you going out of your way to recognize all of the subtle details of my videos is hugely appreciated It took all week to finalize it and knowing that it makes a difference to you alone makes it all worthwhile A huge thank you my friend :)
I have this a particular copy of this book where the binding/hard cover are upside-down/180 rotated to the inside contents. So yes, I got a factory defect and I love that because it's so Spider-Man to have the inside contents upside-down to the cover.
Absolutely amazing video and critique as always! I was wondering if you've thought of reviewing any of the Hellboy comics? The library edition of the books are STUNNING, I think it'd really fit the style you have going here, plus maybe you could talk about the narrative playing into the artwork? Just started getting into Hellboy, so thought I'd throw the suggestion your way!
Now, THIS was a creative way of going about making a computer-animated movie. Great bite-sized review, Adam. You didn't give too much away, I left wanting more and I damn well want that book :)
Can't voice enough how much I appreciate your Videos Adam - some of them took a lot of weight from my shoulders, even if only temporarily. I put all of my time, next to my engineering masters, into the arts and I it became one of the most important aspects in my life - You regularly hit on the core values that make it so important to me - Thank you for that! - Also loving the art book videos, have you thought about 'reviewing' the Spectrum yearly editions? They are always such a bible of inspiration, although I guess they would make for very long Videos ^^ With love, Dave
Honestly one of the best if not the best animated movie ever! In my humble opinion ofcourse… 🙌🏽 great break down of this amazing book Adam! 🤘🏽 (hope to see an avengers endgame art book break down soon maybe?) 😄
Great intro, Adam! Spiderman. Superheroes. Even though I'm not a big fan of them, I have to admit this is a top-notch job on it. Great artbook! (I don't need to like something to respect it and admire their efforts, right?). And... you make everything great when you review, or overview ;)
Oh no! He showed the skin below the collar bone! ScAnDaLoUs! Again, thank you for doing these reviews, especially showing links to other artists and professionals haha
I really love your Artbook reviews. I have this one on my Amazon Wishlist for months and wasn´t sure if i should get it. I bought the wrong one to this movie that is neat but no real artbook lol
in future videos, can you talk about the page and editorial design? I think it's very important and is related in how you tell a story. Art and design isn't just drawing something that looks good, I think it's very important for artists, graphic and industrial designers to have tools in how to present ideas to others, that is a boss or your public.
I really liked this movie and the art style grabbed me so well that I actually bought the DVD of the movie. Keep in mind, I don't buy VHS and DVDS of movies, unless I really like it.
Does anyone know where I can find footage of storyboarded animatics and deleted scenes from the Alternate Universe Mode? Nobody cares enough to upload them and I'm desperate to see the different scenes that didn't make the cut and the Ines we got in storyboard form, like Peter B.'s story. HELP ME!
on the topic of animated movies YOU HAVE TO WATCH LOVING VINCENT. its about the events after the death of Vincent and events that lead up to his death but what is mindblowing is the fact THAT IT WAS OIL PAINTED PLEASE WATCH IT
Oh Adam, you should give the art of Doom eternal a look, the game itself is absolutely goregeous! (sorry for the pun there) There should be all sorts of creepy, cool looking demons and landscapes in the book! Would love to hear what you have to say about it :)
This was probably the first 3d animated film that really blew me away.
1000% Agreed!
What about arcane?
You have to watch the last one :)
This movie is, without a doubt, my favorite movie of all time. The art, the animation, the characters, the plot, all of it was so amazing. I cried the first time I watched it.
Man we so didn't deserve how amazing and epic that film was, the sequel is gonna be a spectacle. Loving these book reviews my dude
Hillary Sanderson you thought Captain Marvel and Black Panther were “crappy films?” Oh dear
God you need your head examined lol
I'm not a big fan of spiderman but when ever I see an art book to a movie it's always so interesting to watch through those books for hours 😌🔥✨
That panning frame... ❤️👌🏽❤️
My dad introduced me to Calvin and Hobbes. Love that comic.
Beautiful work!
Omg i`ve just seen this movie and shocked me a lot!. Not fan of superheroes, but there is true love behind this film!
As a miles, an animation student, love of marvel, and this of this film. I appreciate the review of this beautiful art.
Thanks for being my daily driver. I tend to rewatch ur videos for inspiration. Take care and good health wishes.
You too Terra and thank you 😊
Could you please review "Kimi no Na wa (Your Name)" ArtBook.
The English version is still not released, and I don’t know if he would like to buy a Japanese version.
Why not a silent voice... It had better animation
Aashir Ali well a think both were great and they do different things better. One is more a character study and the other a sparkling big world.

I loved the movie so much, Its right up there for me with the incredibles , movies I can just watch over and over as they are a rich visual feast
My favorite animated film. What stands out to me is how in the Peter Parker spider man designs he doesn’t have that super shredded body, he looks a little more square and stocky, idk why but I LOVE that look

11:55 - small correction; those are made by Zac Retz, another incredible artist, the bottom right one is by Craig Mullins though
Best film Ive ever watched
Thank you, Adam, for being one to fan the artistic flame inside all of us.
Finding this video is like finding that one person who not only loves that thing you love but also that you can also spend hours talking to them about this
This was the movie that got me into doing art fr. Loved every moment of it!
I can see how much fun that series is for you to make. Great intro!
It is also kind of funny how similar or art book collection is actually..
Woow, the video quality is getting better and better! Keep it up
canadians have the cleanest accent

I also think of Roy Lichtenstein when he spoke about pointalism :)
This whole channel is gold!

Always love hearing your thoughts. I just recently ordered this book. Waiting for it to arrive. Good timing 😊

Would consider doing tutorials on animation Adam?

I really love your Artbook reviews. I have this one on my Amazon Wishlist for months and wasn´t sure if i should get it. I bought the wrong one to this movie that is neat but no real artbook lol
Suggestion: Do the studio trigger art book.

Could you do a video about the Persona 5 art?
14:37 No, I appreciate you.
Love this already
Sadly I dont have the cash to buy any of the art books. Thanks for these videos!
