The Struts are amazing. Luke has been described as "the love child of Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Freddie Mercury". I think he captures all of the best of those guys.
And don’t forget Joan Jett’s hair. :D
I thought he was the love child of Freddie Mercury and John Barrowman that was born in Wales.
❤ The Struts but they get very little airplay over here in the UK
And can’t forget doctor franknfurter definitely 😂
Honestly the struts are incredible
I have seen The Struts several times, the only band I've seen two nights in a row, and they put on the greatest live performance. A must see live band.
Saw them open for the Foo Fighters a few years ago. Fantastic band. Luke joined the Foos during their set to perform "Under Pressure", with Luke doing Freddie Mercury's parts to Taylor Hawkins's David Bowie. Fantastic
I got to see that tour as well. That show was so good!
I discovered them on the same tour and have seen them twice, Fantastic band
Have seen them eleven times live. Their energy live is AMAZING!
The Struts unabashedly pay homage to their heroes... Luke clearly has timbral similarity to our beloved Freddy... and he exudes the same campy, over the top personality. Great band, with great songs.
Never heard of them until late last year, my wife picked up their last album after hearing a few songs. Listened to the whole thing, it's great. You can't go wrong with any of their songs IMO.
I saw The Struts years ago without knowing much about them other than that people were buzzing about them. It was so entertaining to be ENTERTAINED! They're the whole package. The band was the right amount of tight and sloppy, they looked like they were having so much fun, great songwriting. Luke Spiller is a tremendous vocalist with outstanding range, tone and control. He commanded the audience to be a part of the show. I watched the crowd go from reluctant and observant to just throwing themselves all in. He doesn't give you a choice, you're captivated!
I love what you said here about phrasing. Always, always. Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy was a master at phrasing and one of my very favorites.
I love these reaction videos. It's so enjoyable to watch people who love music loving music!
Luke Spiller also sings on Mike Oldfield's album "Man on the Rocks" which is absolutely amazing.
Recommend the songs Man On The Rocks and Nuclear
If you listen to a lot of Struts, he throws a rolled R into almost every song. Its kind of his trademark.
I loved them, the first time I heard them.
Best live act I’ve ever seen, you gotta check them out more
Our family loves The Struts, loyal fans since 2015. They tie for Top Band for us, right next to Queen. Go see them live! Best concert experience ever! I saw Queen twice, this is better. The guys are really fan-friendly, so nice to M&G.
The Struts are my favorite band, thank you! Luke is a fantastic frontman live too!
Enjoy their catalog, no bad songs!
the song in the beginning is another one of theirs, Dirty Sexy Money, one of my personal favourites. Body Talks, Fallin' With Me and Too Good at Raising Hell are also all really good imo.
You've gotta check out their Acoustic Version of Pretty Vicious. He's range in that song is extraordinary!
Had never heard these ones before, and so glad you mentioned Queen vibes, because that first rolled R just sounded like it could have come straight from Freddie Mercury.
I saw them three times last month and he is an INCREDIBLE live performer. His voice is ASTONISHING.
Thanks for the reminder of this song! I haven’t listened in years, and it immediately pulled me back to that time in my life. 🎉🥂🥳 Good stuff!
A fantastic band who've been around since 2011. Seen them several times and are awesome live. Underrated?.....you bet!
Thanks. I'd never heard of them before watching this.
They are so good and I cant stop dancing❤❤❤! Yes and here we go again🎉🎉🎉
I love The Struts!! They are my favourite band EVER!!!!!! Could have been me is my favourite song by them! They are soooo good and very funny. I know every song off by heart. I saw them in concert and they were AMAZING!! They were my favourite concert ever!!!!
I love "She's in love with the camera" and I love how in "Rockstar" the way that he says "ass/arse" I'm obsessed with Luke
Wow I’m so glad you did this reaction. I’ve never heard this group before but this song is fantastic.
So many of the bands I have discovered in the last few years have complex music and vocals or are not wholly in English. While I love listening to them, it’s not music that I can sing along with.
I can see myself playing this in my car singing this at the top of my lungs! Driving alone of course, I would not subject anyone else to my belting lol.
So thanks again, now it’s time to go download some new music.😀😎🤘🏻
Great reaction, Bethany. Definitely Freddie Mercury vibes from the lead singer here.
I would like you to do more struts! Especially something from their latest album. He has progressed so much
Luke loves to roll his r's. Phenomenal band
Little late to this party. But you HAVE to see The Struts live to really get a full appreciation of the band and Luke.
I like this lady, She's very informative.
I’m so happy the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury happened while I’m still amongst the living 👀👍
Thanks for introducing me to a band I wasn't very familiar with-I'll be checking out more from them! ( I would love to see you do a reaction to Joni Mitchell singing the same song(s) throughout her life. Her voice and style changed so much but still so good.)
Nuclear is another great song from the lead singer, and Mike Oldfield. It's beautiful.
Please do another analysis on The Struts... Luke's voice is one of a kind & I would like to hear more from you about it. Also I just loved watching you react. Your smiles throughout the video hinted you may just become a fan of this band yet... I know I am! 🎶🥰🇬🇧
Love the Struts, I've seen them live quite a few times when they come back to the UK and they're always entertaining
Ooh, I was so hoping you would find them! Have you got space for Falling by them? They are so underrated
Look up the Good Morning America performance of this song to see what Luke can do with a live performance.
They're even better live.
they are so cool! i am a big fan!
If this song had been released in the mid 2000’s it would have been huge!
I'm so glad he's my age!
Great band. One of my modern favorites
Please check out The Strokes too - cuz I saw The Struts and it immediately thought of them lol
I am so desperately in love with them. From the first time I heard them, they instantly became my favourite band!! I love them so much that the only part making me profoundly sad to be pregnant these days is I CANNOT GO SEE THEM!!!!| Loud music is bad for little fetus, but he'll love them in time too!
Love to hear your thoughts on a song called "Love me dead", by a band called Ludo.
I've always said The Struts are like Classic Van Halen and Queen had a baby.
Queen comparison is definitely apt. Luke Spiller has done a few renditions of Queen songs
I absolutely love this song. They really did an amazing job with it, and I love the just... triumphant energy of it. Not like "I have won" but... almost more "this is how I win." Also, Halsey did an amazing cover of this song in the movie Sing 2... which is honestly one of my favorite musical movies. The pure emotion of it, and the themes of overcoming the aggressive doubts of others... love it. If you haven't seen it, you need to. Maybe do a reaction to it... that would be cool ;)
Their new track 'Pretty Vicious' is a great counterpoint to this 2015 song.
La voz más cercana que tendremos a la de su majestad Freddie Mercury
I like the song "Kiss This."
3:55 Yeah, same, you should check Otyken, I'm surprised that her singing voice is also her speaking voice, thought she made that up.
There’s no doubt he can sing. Perfect live. Just wish she did more queen.
I thought Queen, too. The lead reminds me of Freddie.
Saw that The Warning and The Struts are opening for for Godsmack at Buzzfest and I actually didn't know who The struts were lol. Very good song. Not my cup of tea but still that was good
Luke the Singer from this band has done some excellent work with Mike Oldfield!
NE OBLIVISCARIS - "Graal" (Official Music Video) 2023
I wish you react to Lorna Shore - to the hellfire, please!
Queennn. Lol
To me, Luke looks like the love child of Freddie Mercury and Dr. Frank N Furter
Freddie vibes? I was getting more Tim Curry. I mean that in the best possible way. Recommend LP Lost on You (Live)
The grit in Luke Spiller's voice is definitely reminiscent of Freddie Mercury in his lower register: ruclips.net/video/u7e4Tr9IH5U/видео.html
I'm sorry to bother you but could you do Voice Play? They are my favorite too!
Could you review Judith Durham...The Seekers?
Joan Jett meets Pat Benatar
Please Cem Adrian Kül 🙏
The singer always gave me Tim Curry vibes from rocky horror
Please reaction Barsena Besthandi from indonesia ... thanks

@TheVocalyst2 how to contact explainer pls ?
Yes, he has an incredible voice. But it’s a huge turn off when he apes Freddie Mercury. I mean, come on. Be yourself. An original.
