I lost my sense of smell in February this year after a month of flu hell and its never come back 😔. I really miss the joy of all these beautiful aromas that made such a difference to my mood and wellbeing. Still love the products though. Thanks for another great overview xx
I can listen to this woman all day 😊 love your sass!
I have used the almond shower oil for shaving literally for almost a decade. By far the most comfortable "shaving cream" ever and 1 bottle will last forever. So so lovely!
Cannot live without it
I love L'occitane! I've been using the Shea butter hand cream for over 10 years. And I also love the almond shower oil. Like you, I hate almonds but this shower oil smells divine and makes my skin feel so soft. Thanks for making this video xx
I can't get enough of anything shea butter from L'Occitane. Love the smell. Love what it does for my winter dry skin. My husband has been wearing the L'Occitan eau de parfum for years and I think he smells delicious.
Almond shower oil is one of the things I cannot live without during winter. Feels sooooo comforting and hydrating and to me it smells like winter coziness!!!!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Divine Cream since I've always only thought of L'Occitane as a body care company. I love the shower oil, but my hands down favorite item from them is the Delicious Paste. Scrub it on dry legs before you get in the shower; rinses easily, doesn't leave the shower an accident just waiting to happen, and exfoliates beautifully.
I'll confess that i am addicted to loccitane too. The shea butter range is my fav. All other hand creams are dead to me
Same! I was never really a fan of almonds and avoided this line for long. Got a sample from a free gift with purchase from L’Occitane and tried it and it smelled and felt AMAZING! I love L’Occitane products!
I first used the Almond Oil shower when I was in hospital after my daughter was born. I still use it today...the smell beings back happy memories and the oil is just devine on your skin. X
Oh I love this brand! I've struggled with dry bumpy skin my entire life and have adored the almond shower oil for years. I used it with both my pregnancies religiously and I swear it helped my skin to stay more elastic and not get many stretch marks. The smell of the oil is divine and just like you said, comforting. As a new mom these products are a must in my opinion. My showers are my alone time and it's essential they are a relaxing and renewing experience and this brand helps to make that happen. ❤️
I suffered from painful type 2 rosacea which was only kept in check, but never cleared, by topical treatments from my GP. Switched to L'Occitane Divine Harmony products and the change in my skin was amazing. For the first time in about 3 years, my complexion looked calmed and (most importantly) was completely pain-free! I know dermatologists would say there is no need to buy expensive serums and creams, but if it helps prevent my face from being as sore as it had been, I'm happy to pay, and no more GP prescriptions yay!
I loved the lavender amber scent they discontinued years ago. Please tell them to bring it back. It was divine
I bought a collection box of this brand off of QVC here in the states over 14 years ago for my late mum. It was the first tine I'd heard of the brand and it was such a success that my mum ( who would never pay more than 5 pounds for a face cream ) - invested in the face cream willingly when she ran out of it. She loved it and that goes for the Shea in the tin too
I really wish they did a fragrance of the almond range because it is so gorgeous and milky. I have tried so many 'almond' based perfumes, but nothing like this! The milk lotion is so rich and beautiful but I need that scent in my life all day!
Agreed, you can literally do all of your Christmas shopping at L’Occitane. I’ve been to their shops in previous years where they actually gift wrapped the items I had purchased. Don’t know if they still do that.... But it’s a great shop nonetheless.
Slippery shower oils from the 70s, takes me back...to slipping and knocking my head in the shower.
Oh...and “flavors”...Don’t apologize. You are right!
I lurve going into a L'Occitane store and having a good old sniff of everything! They have such delicious products.
I haven’t tried it yet as I was looking for reviews before spending a fortune on a product . I have the hand cream from my fab fit fun box and this got my attention. You are so funny! I love your delivery in descriptions! You convince me , and thank you from the US.
Hello from a current L'occitane employee from Newcastle. Just wanted to say how hilarious it was that every time you showed a new product and described how it felt and smelled I could literally feel and smell it as well. Give the Ultra Light Cream in Delightful Tea a go. It is freaking amazing.
(P.S. We call them ranges, but next time i'm in store you best believe i'm going to be calling them flavours from now on)
bought my Mom the Almond Shower Oil and the Almond Milk Moisturizer a couple years ago for Christmas and now she acts like she cannot run out and tells me when she needs a new one! lol we both love l'Occitane products!
❤️ the almond shower oil and supple skin oil, soooo moisturising and the smell ...... divine!
L’Occitane is amazing……you are rich for having so many of their products.
I’m so excited for my mam to open some of the products form this brand, we went to disneyland paris recently and he hotel had this brand in their hotel, everything smelt AMAZING.
Caroline Herron got it right about the cult following of L'Occitane. I actually love the Immortelle Precious Night Cream and find its buttery texture really moisturizing for my skin. Probably among the better thick moisturizers for dry, mature skin.
My favs too...and I love the lip balm. Happy Holidays Caroline to you and yours.
I LOVE the almond scrub and almond shower oil. SO luxurious
Thank you for clarifying the level of almondiness/slippiness - as a hater of marzipan and falls I am now reassured and will be buying that oil ASAP...
Atticus omg it’s beautiful. Not almondy AT ALL ♥️
Ive had that oil n it is incredible!! I was worried it wld slip off in the shower but it sticks to the skin n lathers beautifully
I share your enthusiasm for L'Occitane. After watching this video I feel inspired to shop!
Bun Thursday! I needed a little Caroline today.
Love you Caroline - could listen to you for hours 💕💕
I loooved the verbena icy body gel in the super hot summer we had. So refreshing
My mother gifted me with the middle name Moon! So I absolutely loved this year’s L’Occitane holiday packaging. I bought a small hand lotion to gift for my mom, hoping she’ll find it as special as I do 🌝
I’ve been in their store today and I’ve tried their Ultra Rich Shea body cream and I’m in love with the scent and how it makes my skin feel! I will visit them again tomorrow and purchase that cream for sure. I need it for fall and winter. 🥰 I will probably buy their shea shower oil as well or their almond shower oil, we’ll see. The lady who was working there kindly suggested the shea oil for my skin because it’s more nourishing. I need to smell both to decide. I’m now currently using the Bioderma shower oil and I’m never going back to regular shower gels. Oils are so amazing for dry skin! 😃
Thank you for this. No one ever talks about them.
I love l’occitane. My skin loves their stuff.
All types of free, made with only water hoo-ha never consistently performed well on my skin (and I was paying premiums for products that would stop working after six months) My body especially needs more moisture than again the fast absorbing water in a bottle I’m used to seeing people rave about that makes me look like I’m covered in cake flour after 15 minutes. My skin is dark I live in the cold ashiness isn’t cute.
And my goodness the scent. Scent is an important part of my purchase decision. If something has no scent I’m most likely not buying it. I’ve had skincare that claimed they were better because they were fragrance free still perform like crap. Fragrance no fragrance makes no difference for my skin. That being said, L’Occitane delivers on scent. I have the entire Peony range. Peonies are my favorite flower and the range of varieties within the range is incredible. It makes me happy everyday using those products.
First range I ever tried was the immortelle range and my gosh it was heavenly. For the first time I had smooth balanced skin for more than six months. Their products just consistently perform. Every time I buy another bottle I get the same results unlike the other premium brands everyone else typically raves about.
Yesssss!! Love L’Occitane! The Ultra Rich Body Cream is heavenly 🤤💕
LOL I always describe my light shea comforting cream as smelling like a clean baby! L'Occitane have amazing customer service, a few years ago I bought the verbena perfume and I was allergic. They were so attentive and asked me to fill out a form detailing my reaction for their dermatologists to look over and I was able to exchange it for other products. Almond is my favourite especially the newer delightful body balm. I go through lots of that, my akin is so dry the milk concentrate wasn't quite enough. The body oil is amazing as well.
Thank you. I have just bagged myself a denim-esque gift. Fab !
Thank you for this. I had forgotten how much I love this brand.
I would also like to try their shea hand cream because so many people are raving about it and I think my dry skin would appreciate it. 😊
Love the verbena. Note to all, go to the outlet store and get your products for half price. I paid 23 pounds for the intensive hand cream and found it in the outlet store two for thirty. 16 pounds off.
They used to have a honey “flavor” of their hand cream, and I loved that stuff. It was seasonal, I believe, but they don’t bring it out anymore. Wish they would make it again! Put in a good word for me, Caroline?
I love this brand.😍 Almond is my 1st love, they need to make a fragrance! Shower oil is the most fabulous product I've ever come across I never nick my legs whilst saving.. It foams and cleans a Dream (I double cleanse my body too! once with sanex then the shower oil) also girls/guys qvcuk does great deals.. They have a "today's special value" this Thursday 6th xx
Coriander is the devil's work! Definitely going to try the milk cleanser.
Once again a brilliant video. I love L'Occitane and like you I initially dismissed the Almond Shower Oil. I have now just ordered the refill as I'm totally in love with it xx
Forgot how much I love L’Occitane! Will be getting myself to a shop pronto as needing a new body moisturiser x
The comment re the almond being nice for you Caroline hit the nail on the head for me, as there is probably no almond in it. I used to like L'occitane until I discovered how many chemicals are in the products, (endocrine and hormone disrupting) it's a pity but I do think that all their stuff is a bit fake. do love that almond shower oil though!! - when I think I'm invincible to chemicals YOLO !!
Eleanor Meyer Eleanor you know everything is a chemical yes? And that nothing in a shower gel is going to disrupt your endocrine system? I’m sorry. Respectfully, but that’s just BS.
Absolutely love L’Occitane products 😍
Wish I was in the UK and could get your GWP bag. you guys get the best GWPs
we never get anything in any stores here😖💔
And you’re so true about their stuff smelling like comfort! ☺️ I totally get what you mean 😊
Wow, everyone of your favourites is mine too. Love their range, especially their Lavender Shea hand soap, cannot use anti bacterial soap so use this instead, so moisturising. I also use their diine cream and my skin has never been so good . Their flagship store in Regent Street is amazballs if you ever get a chance to visit.
I literally LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell & taste of Almond & have the Shower Oil, Hand cream & Dry oil in this range & I disagree it does smell of Almond but very natural & light in Fragrance. I absolutely hate the smell of Lavender yet Elemis did a shower cream in Lavender which I received in a set years ago & I didn't hate it because it was light & not punchy like most lavender products. I think it depends on the brand xxx
Funny, I LOVE almonds AND the L'occitane almond range! I often find people like one of the two but not both. I love almonds, marzipan, I have to admit I'm a sucker for more cheap-smelling almond as well (like Body Shop). But I ALSO love the almond range from this brand! I do feel like it still smells like almonds? Just in a different, more natural way.
No one looks this good in canary. Not fair Mrs. Hirons.
Hi Caroline. What are your thoughts about Lucia Magnani products? Are they worth their price tag?
I had the exact same reaction with the Almond!! My other half bought it for me for Christmas a few years back, and my heart sank a little when I opened the gift as I normally don't like Almond....but this stuff.....it's my version of crack hahah. Bloody love it!!
Woot woot!!! I can’t believe I am the first comment! Everything I use is because of The Great Caroline Hirons!
Have you tried any of their face oils? If so can you please do a review
My favourite ever product from L'occitane is their neroli+Jasmine perfume . Unfortunately it is discontinued 🙄.
My favourite was from a set of 4 perfumes they developed and released together and was just called Neroli. I was so upset when it disappeared that I went to my local boutique and bought the last 4 they had in the shop (they were discounted heavily as the range was dropped). I've never quite got over them discontinuing my favourite ever perfume!
i am a sucker for L'Occitane!!!!
💜L’occitane is the very best! Agree! My Dad yelling out of the shower because of the baby oil!😊
Love comfort smells and yes 5'10" here and I remember the hang on for your life shower oils!
G G still terrifies me!
I buy it for my Mum and Gran most years but secretly want some for myself.
THANK YOU CAROLINE!
I absolutely HATE almond too and I adore Loccitane but have refused to buy anything it has with almond in it so I will definitely give it a try now or my kids will NOT be told the usual "anything from Loccitane except with almond in it" for xmas!
Karyn Delaney it doesn’t smell like marzipan I promise x
You just sold me on the shower oil. I love the body wash but was leery of falling in the shower. NO JOKE. This fellow tall/women of a certain age/ bad back girl thanks you.
I'm so sad they discontinued their Verbena Linen water. I used to spray it on my sheets.
Qvc had a TSV a couple of weeks ago had too but 2 LOVE LOCCITANE
I know EXACTLY what you mean by it smells of comfort! X
Yes love it im a fan there hand creams are lovely
Hi Caroline - sorry this is probably a stupid question but I looked over all your cheat sheets and couldn’t find an answer. If I do my full evening routine when I get in from work (say5/6) and then want to do a facial massage before bed or later on - should I be cleansing my face again beforehand? Sorry again! And thanks for all your videos and content - they have totally inspired me to get serious about my skin! Xx
Thanks for the code! Been eyeing up the body cream for ages and just took the plunge! 🥳❤️
Could watch your vids for hours ❤️
The almond shower oil 😍 It's my BFF in winter 💕
I love loccitane i loved there hand cream until i tried the mane n tail hoof hand cream (was originally meant for horses) n it is incredible, cheap n makes my nails grow as they never have before 🤣 smells amazing sinks in so fast! great vid
Jade amber Hi Jade that sounds great,do you mind me asking where ya purchased hoof xxx
@@janeburke147 look fantastic website (its uk but they ship for free international) its called mane n tail hoofmaker hand n nail therapy u get a MASSIVE bottle for £7.99 i think. Its lasted me over a year :)
Jade amber Oh thanks,I’m from Yorkshire so I’ve bought from Look fantastic a few times.Sounds a right bargain, thanks 👍🏻xxxx
Me so paranoid about falling in shower as well, so I keep inexpensive dish soap in bath and spray on tiles as I go - the non- slip factor is a reason to try never mind all the product pros😜. Thanks for Top9 list this brand gets lost for me in all the retail noise🛍👂🏾!!
Oh GAWD, I love TOP 5! (9)
I know you mentioned you will do a more in depth video on some of the lines and I'll be waiting for it!! In the meantime, what are your thoughts on the Immortelle Divine Youth Oil? I'm on my second bottle but wonder if something like the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil might be better. Trying to get the most bang for my buck! XxOo
Omg... when in store I always smell the shower oil, I love it...LOVE, but I’ve never bought it because I’m afraid I’ll fall in the shower 😂😂😂.
The Almond shower oil is my absolute favorite! It has to be one of the most moisturizing products (for showering) that I've ever used (aside from Lalicious...have you tried it?). XO Aloha!
Hi! I love L'Occitane, thanks for the video! Can I ask you the difference between the Immortale line and the Harmonie Immortale one? Thanks a lot
Can you talk about your piercings? I love your earrings, are they Maria Tash?
“Scooch along and show this to your mother!”
i love the verbena
Hi Caroline! I was wondering if you would be able to recommend anything for my fungal acne & congested skin? I've got combo skin with dry patches and acne and I've just about had enough of it lol. I'm a student so ideally not anything too expensive! Thank you for the lovely video as per, have a nice day! X
check out liah yoo on her channel - there are a lot of videos on this.
Oh one more thing the drying lotion does what it says so you have to be careful with it and moisturise after use. The sooner you catch the spot with this stuff the quicker it disappears. So as soon as I see the start of a tiny red bump I put that on. If the spot is older it may take a couple of days to get rid of it totally. I hope my suggestions can give you some help, oh and the Effaclar Duo moisturiser also treats marks left on the skin by acne as well as helping to stop more spots.
I received a lovely L'Occitane hand cream as a gift. At first, I loved it, but rather quickly I found it too fragrant/flowery and a little drying. Since it's not cruelty free, I don't buy it.
What (moisturizer) would you advise somebody of 50+ but with an extreme oily skin, everything they make for a mature skin is too rich so I'm using stuff for younger people because I can't handle the rich stuff on my skin.
Have you thought about the Aqua Reotier thirst quenching gel? It's lighter than a cream. I get super oily in summer but also dry patches (I’m 40) they released this range this year and I love it, I also use the essence. I switch to the Shea light comforting cream in winter and it seems to balance my skin quite well, my local store manager took a look at my winter skin a couple of years back and recommended that one as my skin is very oily but then I get the infuriating dry patches. He felt the other creams would be too heavy on my oily skin. If you have a local store pop in and ask their advice or for samples to try the different products.
@@shendisackett I tried the sample packs with the that essence, the gel creme and the cleanser, liked the cleanser and especially the essence very much but the gel creme together with the essence was too much for my skin, maybe try the gel form next time. I have never dry patches, still have enough oil for a small city every day hahaha. Thank you very muck for your advice.
Almond Shower Oil 🥰
Verbena!! All the way !!
I too hate almond anything and particularly marzipan, love the shower oil. As we also both love Mr JBJ (the grey hair is growing on me and I’m hoping the hints I’ve dropped about Wembley next June will work) I’m thinking we must have been separated at birth, always wanted a sister 😂
I have this solidarity balm , I thought it was for lips , but i still dont know how to use it , i feel STUPID
Its the brand cruelty free?
Love all your reviews ❤ can't wait for you to post a video
Request: plssss review the STRIVECTIN line 😘😘😘😘
If the pr is smart they would be playing this in stores every couple of hours
awesome!!!
Love you Caroline but if a brand is/isn't cruelty free I think that's an important detail to include in your videos. It's a big factor for a lot of people and this review could definitely have benefitted from having the full details of the product, especially when you're spending so much on it.
I’m making some changes to the reviews so that will happen. 🙂
@@CarolineHirons01 Thank you!! ❤❤❤
I am a life long fan of the almond range, I bought a large 509mi bottle in the Airport and the Spanish customs confiscated it on the way back home... nearly an international incident 😂my husband knowing what my temper is like was desperately trying to shut me up...and yes before someone points it out ...I know I shouldn’t have bought it on the way out. 😂😂
500 ml
Livid! LOL
Yeah I was fit to be tied...😂😂
You want them to use their better judgement in cases like that - and say, really? Do I look like a bomber! I would have been livid too
Thank you I really appreciate the comment , I should have kept a check on my temper however.. my poor husband was sweating cobs. I think he envisaged being in a Spanish jail. 😂😂xx
Love L'Occitane! Just not their perfumes, they smell lovely, but dissapear sooner than you can say "bob's your uncle" :)
Bob is...and it's gone.
You’re tripping, Lady Hirons. Almond is LIFE!!!!!😭
I’ve ordered several products from the Shea Ultra Rich range, been wanting for a while 😊 #carolinemademedoit
Caroline, your comments are all so positive. But I can’t be the only one sick of seeing these overviews for brands with not so great ingredients, like Loccitane. I miss the videos with products with great ingredients, and indie brands.
mmmmmmmmmmhm
I just wanted to clarify that I love and respect you Caroline. This is just me, as a fan, wanting to give my feed back. I’ve been feeling this way for a while now, but I just wanted to express my feelings.
What brand overviews did you enjoy and what would you like to see?
Me too this was a blatant plug for the company, well it’s UTube and if you choose to watch, that’s what you ( me) gets!!! I’m going to be more discerning in the future!! 😊
Caroline Hirons well I’m not really a fan of the brand overviews at all. I’d prefer an updated skincare routine(morning and night), consisting of the products you find yourself using on a daily basis. Then maybe updated favorites, like your top 5 favorite exfoliants, serums, moisturizers, etc. Also I think a good concept would be to help expose the industry rip offs, for example, how the ingredients in CeraVe PM are so much better than Crème de La Mer. As far as videos I miss... I use to get excited about when you’d talk about brands like Biologique Recherché or Tata Harper. Good examples of companies that really care about ingredients, whether more through science or through nature.
