This is so sad. Silly Billy has been flooding my recommendations and I had done some digging. Turns out the bf that singing is from another universe. But he lost gf and everytime he traveled back in time to save gf. It damaged his body each time and he wasn't able to save gf each time he went back. Not realizing that gf had posses the very microphone he is holding, which is why when he sing "Just Long!" you see a red flash, which is gf soul/spirit hugging bf. And you can hear her a bit to when he sings afterwards. He wants current bf or you the player, to be proud of him for how long he's been fighting and how far he has come. That he is still alive and standing. And on another sad related note, the dev that created silly Billy had past away in there sleep while they were fighting cancer. So the lyrics (atleast to me) hit more harder just knowing that fact. But regardless, handsdown one of the best mods that have happen to FNF. Great work to the team and devs that worked on it. (Again this is what I am able summon up in understnding behind the song. Sorry if I missed out on details or missed part of the story. Feel free to comment or add below in the comments what I missed.)

Yourself is kind of crazy when you think about them in their own universe, we know that singing/rap is essentially the power system of this universe and a broken version of boyfriend who lost everything is strong enough to break down barriers between their worlds in this conon of the song like, that’s fuckin nuts, and it’s not like you can fall back on the whole “demon powers” thing since herself or their “girlfriend” are already gone as seen by the soul that appears on them, no wonder it gives me chills 😭
Not to mention, since yourself is basically a mirror version of boyfriend, then the universe has to be switched as well (I watched a yt short kinda giving the gist of it) and apparently herself or gf in the original game is dead in the mirrored world, hinting why yourself said 'so stay awake just long enough to see' (I'll try to go back and find the guy who made the yt short) and I like that you can even hear herself singing along with yourself on 'enough'

While the lyrics do reference girlfriend, it also references Divine and how if Divine was alive right now, he would be proud which is the " ill make you say how proud you are of me". And the stay awake part refrences how Divine died in his sleep, saying for him to stay awake to see what he created. Also "my way" means how he recreated it with his way.
